1 (“Cottrill”), is an individual in the State of California and was at all times mentioned herein
2 residing in, County of Los Angeles, California.
3 3. The true names and capacities, whether individual, plural, corporate, partnership, associate, or
4 otherwise, of the defendants named herein as DOES 1 through 10, inclusive, are unknown to
5 Plaintiff who therefore sues such defendants by such fictitious names. Plaintiff is informed and
6 believes, and based upon such information and belief alleges, that each of the defendants
7 designated herein as DOES 1 through 10 is legally responsible in some manner for the events and
8 happenings herein referred to, and negligently, tortiously, and unlawfully, proximately caused
9 injury and damages to Plaintiff as alleged herein. Plaintiff will seek leave of Court to amend this
10 Complaint to show defendants’ true names and capacities after the same have been ascertained.
11 4. The events giving rise to the causes of action alleged herein occurred in the State of California,
12 County of Los Angeles, as that is where the relevant incident occurred.

14 GENERAL ALLEGATIONS
15 5. When Ms. Scott, a sexual assault survivor, arrived at Cottrills on August 21, 2022, she confided
16 in Cottrill that she was trying to get away from her boyfriend . Scott asked if she could stay a few
17 days at Cottrills. Cottrill agreed and was informed by Ms. Scott that she wanted nothing sexual.
18 6. Ms. Scott at no time consented to Cottrill touching her in an intimate way.
19 7. Ms. Scott was on an iPad in the living room area of the apartment looking for places to move.
20 8. Unbeknownst and uninvited Cottrill grabbed Ms. Scotts hand from behind and placed her hand
21 on his bare penis.
22 9. Once the overwhelming fear that set upon by such a egregious act she quickly flung his penis.
23 Then she began to run out of the house.
24 10. She ran out to the house at a somewhat safe distance and then called her friend for help
25 11. As a result of the foregoing events, Ms. Scott has suffered significant physical and emotional
26 injuries, including recurrence of trauma associated with her prior sexual assaults, and will continue
27 to suffer from such injuries in the future.

16. Plaintiff hereby incorporates into this cause of action Paragraphs 1 through 11, inclusive, of

17. In committing the acts described herein, Defendants engaged in extreme and outrageous
23 conduct that transcended the bounds of human decency.
24 18. Defendants intended to cause, and did cause, Plaintiff to experience severe physical injury
25 and emotional distress and they each acted with reckless disregard of the probability that Plaintiff
would suffer such injuries.

19. Defendants’ conduct was a substantial factor in causing Plaintiff’s severe distress. Plaintiff
27 has accordingly been damaged in an amount to be determined at the time of trial.

27. Under the Gender Violence § 52.4 it states “. 52.4. (a) Any person who has been subjected to

gender violence may bring a civil action for damages against any responsible party. The plaintiff
2 may seek actual damages, compensatory damages, punitive damages, injunctive relief, any
combination of those, or any other appropriate relief. A prevailing plaintiff may also be awarded
3 attorney’s fees and costs.

28. In this case, with the ability to attribute sexual assault on a vulnerable female as the most
5 sacrosanct protections we offer in society.
6 29. Therefore gender violence is applicable to the facts of this case.

2 DECLARATION OF JEANINE SCOTT IN SUPPORT OF COMPLAINT

4 I , declare:
5 I am the Petitioner in the above-referenced matter, and this declaration is in support of my
6 complaint against the defendant Christopher Cottrill for the events that took place on August 25
7 2022.
8 I arrived at Cotrills on or about August 24, 2022. At no time did I consent to any type of
9 sexual act with Cottrill. In fact informed him my head is not in a hood place so I cant have any
10 kind of sexual contact.
11 On August 25, 2022 in the early morning before 10am and sometime after 9:15am I was
12 on my iPad in the living room frantically for a place to relocate. As. I did not know Cottrill was
13 heavily involved with the importation, transportation and sales of methamphetamine, fentanyl and
14 heroin.
15 Abou ten (10) minutes of being on the ipad out of nowhere Cottrill viciously grabs my
16 hand and puts it on his bare penis
17 I was frozen, disgusted and in shock. As soon as I was able to stop throwing up I ran out
18 of the house and as far as my legs could take me.
19 I can not express to this court how that act has affected me as a person and my mental well
20 being,
21 I declare under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of California that the
22 foregoing is true and correct.
