Question 1

Figure 1 below shows the five (5) detailed parts, which together make up a CONTROL
HANDLE assembly. This consists of a handle (Item 2) which may be moved to either
side of its normal vertical position about a pivot stud (Item 3) which passes through
the central hole in the body (Item 1). The pivot stud is secured at the back of the body
by a collar (Item 4) through which is passed a 2 mm pin (Item 5). The handle may be
locked in any position by the screw (not shown) which passes through the slot in the
body.

Required

a) Reproduce all the parts with the details as shown. (10 marks)

b) Draw in correct projection the following views of completely assembled unit, the
handle in the vertical position.

i) Front elevation in direction of arrow A (15 marks)

ii) End elevation projected to the left of (i) (15 marks)

iii) Balloon referencing with a detailed parts list (5 marks)

iv) Title block with all relevant information including the projection symbol
(5 marks)
