We offer one of the most comprehensive ranges of feeder pillars in the

UK from single door Mini and Midi pillars to single and double door Maxi
pillars, with a choice of galvanised, stainless-steel and GRP products. If
our standard pillar range is not suitable for your needs, a bespoke design
service is available free of charge.

By opting for a pre-wired pillar, installation time on-site can be kept to a

minimum and we will work with you from the initial enquiry through to
design, testing, certification, and despatch, to ensure everything runs
smoothly.

Stainless-steel option
With a design life of some 50 years, stainless-steel
pillars offer ultimate durability and long service. They
are ideal for use in marine environments, ports, dock
sides and seaside towns where extra protection
against the elements is needed. They also offer a more
stylish and modern finish for city centre locations.
If you want something out of the ordinary, we offer a
design and build service for bespoke stainless-steel
pillars, including grade 316 or high polished finish.
Heritage Style option
Any pillar from the BDP, CFP and market trader ranges
can be finished in Heritage Style, adding elegance and
character to your lighting scheme.
Pillars are painted black with gold filigree as standard,
but other options are available.
Market Trader Pillars
Our Smithfield and Barbican pillars provide temporary
supply options for outdoor markets and outdoor event
areas. They are easy to install, have separately locking
top and bottom doors, for supplier and user
connections, and are available in a range of paint
finishes.
GRP
With a design life of 30 years, the GRP pillars offer a
low maintenance, flexible solution and are ideal for
housing electrical equipment.
Pre-wired & EV Charging Distribution
Pillars
We offer an industry leading design and build service
for pre-wired distribution pillars. By choosing Charles
Endirect to work with you, you can be sure the pillar you
receive will be designed and built to the highest
standard and meet the needs of your specific project.
All work, including testing to BS EN 61439-1 standard,
is undertaken at our own factory in Wincanton,
Somerset, ensuring quality control from start to finish
and each pre-wired pillar is supplied with a technical
document pack to give you peace of mind.

Single detachable door pillars in 3mm galvanised steel
 A choice of designs offering different solutions allowing you to
choose the right option for your project.
 Pillars are designed to be slimline and compact, perfect for where
space is limited or for simple distribution needs.
 Doors seals are designed to IP55 rating to protect against dust and
water spray that could interfere with the internal components.
 Pillars are fitted internally with long lasting 12mm external grade
backboard which is strong, stable and knot free.
 Ground level is clearly marked for ease of installation.

• This mid range unit has been designed with a fold around door to
enable maximum access to the internal working area.
• The door wraps around the pillar and is fully removable enabling
access, not only from the front, but also the sides.

RMP – Recessed door, increased security features

• This pillar comes with a recessed door for improved anti-vandal and
anti-tamper properties.
• The integral handle allows for easy opening.
• Fitted with 8mm screw thread lock for added security.
• Black painted root gives additional protection against the elements.

Options
• Powder coated finish available to RAL or BS colours, anti-graffiti and
G2A specification for highway works.
• Stainless-steel casing - 3mm grade 304.

Larger pillars
 Larger pillars come fitted with lifting eyes to enable safe and easy
delivery to site and ease of installation.
 5mm pillars come fitted with integral, cast stainless-steel door stays
which lock the door at 90º. The simple, reliable, and robust design
prevents the doors from shutting unexpectedly and protects against Double door, Heritage style
potential injury.

 Market Trader Type Pillars
Smithfield and Barbican pillars in 3mm galvanised steel
 Both models have hinged double doors which can be independently
locked for supplier and user connections, and cable exit trays.
 The Smithfield can be supplied empty or pre-wired with up to 6 no.
230V sockets, RCBO protected or to customer’s specifications.
 The Barbican can be supplied empty or pre-wired with up to 4 no.
230V sockets, RCBO protected.

 Cable exit trays
Available with any of our Midi and Maxi range pillars and can be
included in bespoke pillars with hinged doors.
 For controlled access to sockets or other internal connectors.
 Secure once door is locked.
 Can be designed to meet specific project requirements.
 Ideal for pillars situated at event venues, port sides, markets and
anywhere temporary supplies may be required. Used by one
supermarket chain for temporary supply to the refrigeration units in
their Dot.com vehicles while at the supermarkets site. This
eliminates running the engine constantly so more economical and
more environmentally friendly.
 Ideal for secure EV charging applications.
 We recommend that suitable cable protectors are used when
temporary supply cables are in place. We can supply these in various
sizes/specifications, please contact us for details.

Our pillars are built, assembled, and tested at our own factory in
Wincanton, Somerset, enabling us to have full quality control through the
entire process, this means you receive a pillar that is fully tested and
ready for installation on site.
