To the Graduate Application Review Committee,

It is a letter of recommendation for Mr. Ramsharan Pandey who is a graduate in Mechanical
Engineering of the batch 2011-2015. He informed me that he was applying for the MS in Agricultural
and Biosystems Engineering at North Dakota State University. His choice is a match to his interest as
I know Mr. Pandey has been doing self-study in that field. Additionally, he is ranked within top 15%
in the department. I firmly believe he can excel in the new graduating subject too.
I was his instructor in numerous core courses like Metrology, Strength of Material and Machine
Design practical. His inquisitiveness and interpretation ability were evident in those classes. He was
so proficient in using design software that while I found most of the students not opting for design, his
assignments and mini projects included designs using CATIA and MatLab. I find that his
performances on these subjects should support the MS degree.
At a personal level, he is enthusiastic to learn. He is highly motivated with clear understanding of life,
career and the time. The timely submissions of assignments and near perfect attendance from his side
attest to those facts. He joined our institute through the nationwide competitive examination for
admission to engineering program, which itself is a commendable feat. He has been an admirable
student with consistent academic performance throughout the academic years.
Apart from the academics, he was popular in the student community and in the department due to
involvement in the departmental activities as well as extra-curricular activities. His creativity and
determination show a long way for him in his future. The perseverance resembled in his actions and
the insightfulness that he carries, and mainly the passion for deeper discovery in his field makes him a
good competitor in the job market and among other students.
