Learn How to Sell…
Last week, I had lunch with two young guys who didn’t want to remain employees but want to start their own
businesses.
So I gave them my most important advice: “Start selling.”
When they asked why, I explained, “The lifeblood of any business is sales. No sales, no income. It’s that simple.”
One of the young guys was blessed with parents who are successful real estate brokers. So I asked him, “Do you
help your parents in selling?” He shook his head. “I didn’t think it was my cup of tea. I wanted to start something new. I
wanted to use my skills as a writer and speaker. So I started a blog, wrote some articles, and volunteered as a speaker in
the ministry…”
I told him, “Continue to write. Continue to speak. Every day. But I strongly suggest that you start selling something.
Anything. Since your parents are already successful real estate brokers, your resources are right in front of you. Ask them
to train you to sell homes. And do it. Make calls. Pass on leaflets. Knock on doors. Get rejected. Experience the sting. And
sell again. And again. And again. Until you experience the thrill of a sale.”

I’m a salesman.
Sadly, “Salesman” is a curse word in some sectors of society. In
the Top 10 list of Most Shameful Professions in the world, “salesman”
is next to “prostitute.”
But I’m a proud salesman.
For more than 30 years, I’ve been a missionary. And a missionary
is a salesman for God. So for decades, I’ve had great practice.
And I found it very easy to “sell” God. Because there was no self-
interest. Once people “bought” my fantastic “product,” the customer
just thanked me. I don’t get paid.
But when I became an entrepreneur, the money part of the
transaction gave me the creeps. I was going to get paid! And so I was
imagining that each of my customers was asking (silently), “Hmm, do
you REALLY love me or do you just want to earn a quick buck?”
At the TrulyRichClub, I’m teaching you now that your answer to
your customer SHOULD always be, “I love you. I really do. And yes, I
will earn a buck in this transaction. So that I can feed my family, tithe
to the ministry, and give to the poor. And a part of the buck I earn will
still serve you, because it will go to developing better products that
will serve you more (Also called R&D, or Research and Development).”

Selling SHOULD Be Your Number #1 Skill
When I think about it, 99 percent of all the successful entrepreneurs I know are fantastic sales people. They sell day in
and day out. Before they are manufacturers, or inventors, or artists, or accountants, or managers—they are SALES PEOPLE
first and foremost.
Years ago, I still had time to say “yes” to schools who invited me to be their Graduation Speaker. After the event, when
those young, wet-behind-the-ears, fresh college grads (still wearing their togas) tell me they want to be entrepreneurs, I
always tell them, “Get a sales job first! Even just for a year.” When they hear that, they wince. Some of them are revolted
by the idea.
But that’s how I started as an entrepreneur. My one-year experience selling herbal products for an MLM company
made me learn the psychology of selling products. I’ve moved out of that business a long time ago, but I’m VERY grateful
for the experience of selling house-to-house, face-to-face, and belly-to-belly. Today, my salesletters are DYNAMITE because
I learned how to sell person-to-person.

In this article, I am going to share with you how to earn passive income as an affiliate of TrulyRichClub.
Every member of the TrulyRichClub is given a unique affiliate link and when someone joins TrulyRichClub through
your affiliate link, you earn 20 percent commission.
The TRC Affiliate Contest
Bro. Bo Sanchez recently celebrated his 50th birthday. In line with this, he relaunched the TrulyRichClub 2.0 and
added more benefits. Plus, he held the TRC Affiliate Contest from July 11-18, 2016. This was open to all the members of
the TrulyRichClub.
I was very happy and grateful to bag the first prize. I have
to admit that I really did invest time, energy, and resources to
participate in the TRC Affiliate Contest. In Tagalog, kinareer ko po
sya! (I made it a career.)
Last July 31, Joey Tayaban asked me to give a short talk on
Affiliate Marketing during the TRC QuickStart Plus seminar. After
my talk, someone asked me if there’s a video of my talk so she
can watch it again. When I got home, my friend texted that she
missed the first six strategies since she arrived late.
For the benefit of those who were not present during the TRC QuickStart Plus seminar and who want to learn how
to do affiliate marketing, I wrote this article for you.
Let me share with you the exact strategies I used to promote the TrulyRichClub.
Strategy 1: Ask Yourself: Why Do I Want to Promote TrulyRichClub?
It has to be very clear why you want to promote TrulyRichClub. In my case, I can summarise my Big Whys into two.
First, I’ve been a member of TrulyRichClub since 2010 and TrulyRichClub has blessed me not only in my finances but
also in my personal relationships. Knowing clearly how much value TRC gives at such a very, very, very low membership
fee of Php497 only a month (Gold membership), I feel responsible to share this good news to as many people as possible.
Second, I advocate financial literacy. This is the reason why I write books on money. I realised one of the best ways to
promote financial literacy is to bring people to the TrulyRichClub. I’ve never seen a platform that offers a complete financial
literacy program as TRC. Plus, I believe in Bro. Bo Sanchez. He is sincere in loving people and in serving them thru TRC.
Strategy 2: Define Your BHAG.
Once it was clear to me why I wanted to promote the TrulyRichClub, I defined my BHAG or Big Hairy Audacious Goal.
I wanted to inspire and change the lives of at least 1,000 people by inviting them to join the TrulyRichClub as my
affiliate.
When I wrote that down, I said, “Woah!” It was big, hairy, and audacious. But I wrote it anyway.
A few days before the actual Affiliate Contest, I already brainstormed and planned the strategies I would implement
on a daily basis. I already pre-wrote and scheduled the emails I would send to my email list.
But on Days 4 and 5, I was so discouraged because I wasn’t seeing results. So I stopped sending emails and I halted
my Facebook ads.
Day 6 was a Saturday. I was at the Heritage Hotel for the Platinum Wealth Circle. One of the speakers, David Bonifacio,
talked about BHAG. What a perfect and timely topic!

What struck me was how David defined G in the acronym BHAG. He shared that GOAL means commitment. You have
to be committed to your goals even if you are not hitting your targets.
That inspired me to continue implementing my strategies. That day, I told God, “God, I will commit to implement my
strategies. Then kindly take care of the results.” As regards the results, I let go and let God!
Strategy 3: FREE Webinars
I conducted two FREE webinars on “How to Zero Out Credit Card Debts and Free Yourself from Financial Worries”
and “How to Invest in the Stock Market.”
At the end of each of the two webinars, I discussed the benefits of joining the TrulyRichClub and I also gave the
participants the chance to ask me questions.
Some attendees of the webinar did join the TrulyRichClub through my affiliate link.
Strategy 4: Facebook Posts and Facebook Ads
Realizing that a lot of people are on Facebook, I posted TRC-related articles and posters. I also boosted my posts
through Facebook ads so more people could see my posts.
I probably spent somewhere between USD5 to USD10 every day from July 11-18, 2016. What’s good about Facebook
ads is that you can target the people who could see your posts to optimise results.
Strategy 5: Email Marketing
This was my favorite and this was probably the most effective. It feels more personal to receive a message in your
inbox versus seeing the invite through a Facebook post, right?
I didn’t just send emails. I brainstormed and studied how email marketing works.
Even prior to the TRC Affiliate Contest, I’ve subscribed to the email list of some of the top international internet
marketing experts. I studied how they composed their emails, how they titled their emails, how often they would send
their emails, how they structured the stories in their email sequence, etc.
I wrote the Pre-launch emails. Then I also wrote emails for the Actual Launch. I took time off from my business and
dedicated two entire weeks to focus on marketing the TrulyRichClub.
This may sound technical. But the gist is to build trust first, give value, make the people aware of the problem that
TRC can solve, then show them how TRC can solve their problems and bring them closer to their dreams.
Strategy 6: Blogging
I wrote my honest review of the TrulyRichClub in my blog SeminarPhilippines.com. Then I shared that blogpost in my
Facebook pages and boosted the posts. After three hours, my blog post got 3,000 likes. As of this writing, that blogpost
garnered 9,300 likes.

Strategy 7: Hard-to-Resist Bonuses

Strategy 8: Support Team, Patience, and Lots of Prayers
During the entire Affiliate Contest, I kept a teachable spirit and tried to be sensitive in listening to the needs and
wants of my target market so I could adjust and address them accordingly. I also proactively sought for advice and tips.
I hired someone to create the TRC Facebook posters for me and to help me manage my emails and answer TRC-
related inquiries so I can focus on the Strategy part. I also consulted an email marketing expert and asked for his tips. Then
I sent him the draft of my email marketing sequence and he really took time to read them and comment on them. I also
coordinated with another TRC top affiliate and we shared best practices on how we can effectively promote TRC to more
people.
During the Platinum Wealth Circle, I was seated next to Bro. Bo’s internet marketing guru, Jomar Hilario. He said, “I
read your (TRC-related) emails. Ang galing mo na magsulat ng emails!” (You’re now very good in writing emails!).
“Wow! Thank you! Really? But why am I not getting my target results?” I asked.
He answered, “Because you’re not yet makulit (persistent) enough.”
He mentioned that it takes time for people to act. Then I remembered an article I read a few years back wherein
majority of people would act on your message after hearing that message for at least seven times.
Jomar also suggested that I use a Countdown Timer in my emails. When I got home that day, I resumed sending the
emails again and I applied Jomar’s suggestion right away.
I took the TRC Affiliate Contest to heart. It was a lot of hard work, dedication, learning and re-learning, patience,
humility, and prayers. I prayed for every person who would read my emails and who would see my Facebook posts. I wished
them love, joy, and abundance.
I implemented the 8 strategies with so much love and dedication. The result? My average monthly affiliate income
grew by 1800 percent on July 2016! The strategies worked! And I bagged the first place award in the TRC Affiliate Contest.
More than the monetary reward and recognition, I feel happy, grateful, and fulfilled knowing that more people got
to know about the TrulyRichClub.
Even after the Affiliate Contest, I resolved to make TrulyRichClub part of my advocacies. Besides, I am still far, very
far, from achieving my BHAG.
I learned from Bro. Bo that less than one percent of Filipinos invest in the stock market. There is still a lot of work
that needs to be done.

5 Things You Need to Know Before

Starting a Business

“Become an entrepreneur? Why not? A lot of people have done it, so I can too!”
“A new business venture sounds reasonable enough. Let’s do it!”
If you have entertained any of these thoughts, or similar ones, it’s time to think again. To think long and hard about
your business ideas, goals and plans.
Yes, starting – and maintaining – a business is feasible for many of us, but the question is: Do we have what it takes?
Another question we might want to ask is: Do we know what we need to know before starting a business?
Not sure what your answers to both aforementioned questions are? Read on and learn from our entrepreneur
friends Marge Aberasturi, Ginger Arboleda and Reena Alcantara.
Marge Aberasturi is known in the cyber world as “The Happy WAHM.” She is the owner of two registered businesses,
namely VASupportPro Services and Crafted Crafts. Marge describes both her businesses as follows:
“I have a virtual assistance business, catering to business owners here in the Philippines and abroad. And now I have
a craft business, which started out as a hobby.”
Meanwhile, Ginger Arboleda is the CEO of Manila Workshops, and the COO of Taxumo. Manila Workshops aims
to “help people reach their entrepreneurial dreams by providing workshops and seminars that will satisfy their thirst for
knowledge as a participant or their desire to help spread learning and experiences as speakers.” Taxumo, on the other
hand, is a mobile and web application that helps you reduce the time you spend working on your business taxes (which
includes computing them, and lining up at the Bureau of Internal Revenue’s office and at the bank).
Reena Alcantara, on the other hand, is the owner of CMDA Condo & Office Cleaning Services, which is basically a
cleaning service that offers condos, offices, restaurants and post-construction cleaning.
Based on Aberasturi, Arboleda and Alcantara’s collective business experience, here are a few things you should know
before taking the leap into entrepreneurship:
1. Know what you’re getting into.

“If you want to put up a successful business, you should realize early on that it is not a stroll in the park, nor an
escape from your corporate life, nor an overnight money-making machine,” Arboleda shares.
2. Love what you do.

Aberasturi explains, “Starting a business is hard work, so start something that you know you can sustain. Start
something that you know you will be happy doing every single day, so that you go to work excited and always
ready to face the challenges that come with growth.”
3. Educate yourself.
“Keep learning,” Alcantara advises. “May it be from a book, from your clients or from someone who has something
to say about your business—take each bit of knowledge and think about it, study it, and then apply it to what you
think is best for your business.”
4. Learn to prioritize.
Aberasturi encourages newbie and aspiring entrepreneurs to know what they want, “and stay on course.” She
also says it is important to remember that “growth is not always good,” so you must always know what your
priorities are.

5. Be resilient.
“Putting up a business means hard work,” Ginger discloses, “and having the resilience to overcome whatever
challenges that may come your way is the road to making a difference!”
So whether you’re all set to start a business or are just testing the waters, don’t forget to keep these pointers in mind.

3 Things to Pay Close Attention to if

You Want Massive Succees

Are you tired of mediocrity? Do you lack inspiration, the know-how or simply are unable to decipher the techniques
to enhance the quality of your life?
Are you experiencing mediocrity in your career? Have you not been promoted for a long time?
How about your health? Are you always sick and unable to achieve your desired waistline?
And then this….do you have mediocre finances, are buried in debt, or do your funds run out even before the month
ends?
I can relate because I was in the same situation six years ago. I had high cholesterol level, no savings, not having
enough passion at work and in life.
Until I discovered 3 simple techniques which I would like to share with you that have vastly improved my life.
I just paid close attention to them. Here they are:
Numbers
What are your numbers? Our numbers are not just lifeless digits. They tell us a story. And when it comes to story, it
is either a bad story or a good story.
In terms of health, what is your BMI? It is either you have a low cholesterol or high cholesterol. What is your waistline?
These health numbers – are they telling you a good story or a bad story?
If you want to improve your health, it is pretty simple. You begin first by defining your health numbers. Your target
waistline, your target BMI, the number of kilometers in a marathon run that you can participate in and the number of hours
of sleep that you need. Then you design the system to achieve it. Run or walk for 30 minutes every day and eat healthy
foods. That’s it.
How about your net worth? What is your target retirement number? How much do you need? What goals do you
want to achieve and how much money do you need in order for you to achieve them? One million, five million, 10 million,
100 million?
Here is another importance of numbers – it informs us of our starting point (where am I today financially?) and our
destination (what is my target net worth to achieve financial freedom where I don’t have to rely anymore on active work?).
I’m 36 today, but when I was 30, I realized I had no savings. That was my aha moment! It was painful but it opened
my eyes to make the radical change.
So I went to the drawing board. Threw the numbers again. Told myself that in five years, in 10 years, in 20, 30, 40 and
so on and so forth years, this is what I would like to achieve. That exercise was six years ago.
So what are your numbers? Identify them, pay close attention to them.
Models
Who are your role models? It is pretty simple.

If you want to be an entrepreneur, look for an entrepreneur coach.
If you want to learn how to invest in stocks, look for someone who is a success in stocks investing.
If you want to be healthy, fit and slim, you’ve got to hunt that person who manifests the healthy discipline that you
desire.
Who are the role models out there that you would like to emulate? All you have to do is to simply ask, observe and
learn their patterns, disciplines or habits.
When I was in my 20’s, I wanted to be rich but I didn’t have the mentors. There is no surprise then that I was broke.
But when I started to hunt them down, I bumped onto Warren Buffett first, and what did he say? “Invest in a cross-

section of American businesses, investing in a simple index fund will do.” Okay, I did not meet him personally, I just watched
him on YouTube and read articles about him over and over again.
That was the reason why my first investment was in “Equities Mutual Funds.”
After a while, through Bro. Bo Sanchez’ TrulyRichClub, I met Edward Lee of COL Financial Group in a seminar. That was
when Mr. Lee introduced me to the world of stocks investing, specifically, retail investing – buying individual companies to
earn more.
Fast forward, after six years, the amount of knowledge, confidence and financial rewards that I have been able to
enjoy because of the generosity of my mentors is unfathomable. Because of them, my life is never the same.
Going back to my first question. Who are your models? Who do you like to emulate? Whose success templates do
you follow?
Systems
Okay, you know your numbers, you know where you are, and you have set your targets.
You have attended the seminars or most probably have bought the books. You have found your mentors, your models,
the authors and the thought leaders.
You are very motivated.
So you started to act, days, weeks and months passed by…but still nothing is happening!
What seems to be the reason why it is not working?
Here’s my suggestion: pay close attention to your systems. Pay close attention to your discipline. Pay close attention
to your habits.
To succeed in the stock market, you cannot invest just once and expect to be a millionaire after five years. I know
a couple of friends. Because they were in a hurry, they plunked a huge amount of money last year and when the market
went down, they decided to pull out fearing that they will just lose it all. As a result of such trauma, they are still out of the
market as of this writing.
I have friends who have invested for three consecutive months, then stopped all of a sudden and now they are asking
me why their portfolio has lost so much.
I can’t blame them. When ones hard-earned money is involved, we are emotional. And when we are emotional, we
forget about the basic tenets of successful stock market investing.
That is to invest small amounts every month for many years that even if the market crashes tomorrow, it won’t alter
your lifestyle. And to invest even when the economy is experiencing a crisis.
Here is a real life example. When I listen to my mentors, whether the economy is in good shape or in a crisis, I always
hear this one piece of advice: “Just do a monthly cost-averaging in giant companies for the next 100 years.”
That, my friend, is a good system to follow in one word. Investing in several giant companies and doing it for the
longest time. And that is how you succeed in investing. Investing in SM, Ayala Corporation, Meralco, Jollibee and PLDT—
take your pick. These companies will be there even if we are gone.
It’s amazing because it is in direct correlation with other aspects of life. Whether it’s in marriage, health, career and
friendship, the same principle applies: “Constantly investing with the intention of staying for the long-term.”
Come to think of it, you don’t marry someone just for two years. We marry someone and stick it out with him or her
for the rest of our life. In sickness and in health. In good and in bad times.
We don’t go to the gym just to be fit for one night. We enroll for months and years to have the results that we aspire
and stay in it for the longest time.
So what are your numbers? Who are your mentors? What are your systems, habits and disciplines?
Be aware of these three elements, study them, tweak them, do the necessary adjustment to arrive at your bespoke
mix. There is no one-size-fits all combination. But if you constantly review them and shape them to the adjustment that
fits your budget, time, style and personality, you’ll end up with a sustainable mix and the results will naturally take care of
itself. Believe me, it will astonish you.

“We are currently preparing financially to go home for good and
finding the courage to pursue our dreams in our homeland. I learned
from Bro. Bo, whatever problem you have on the table, you must not
only act, but most importantly ACT NOW.”
Fatima also shared that TRC not only helped them in their
finances, it also helped them in their marriage.
“When I first came to Singapore in 2009, I had a difficulty finding
a job. So I struggled a lot with my self-confidence. I became too
pessimistic. My husband took care of everything. I had to depend on
him. He had to carry all the burdens in the family including the finances
since I can’t find a good-paying job. He got so stressed with all these.
Until, we grew farther apart. We were on the brink of separating then
when I realized I had to do something with myself and our marriage.
“As weird as it sounds, I started finding answers to my questions on YouTube. I began asking “How to love yourself?”
There, I found Bro. Bo. That was the very first talk I listened to. And from then on, I kept on listening to his talks until I
researched about him. That was the time I learned about TRC.
“Aside from the inspiration that Bro. Bo brought into my life, I decided to join TRC to help my husband with his 10-
year battle of debt. I never felt the weight of the problem because all this time, my husband took charge of the finances.
Actually, I didn’t want to get involved because I was feeling inferior since I was not earning that much. I had no idea how
big the problem was until my fourth year here in SG when he almost gave up on us. Through his talks, I realized that I have
to help him with this burden.”

Do You Trust God?

I was talking to a guy who said, “Bo, I want to join the TrulyRichClub, but there’s something that’s stopping me.”
I asked, “What?”
“I want to live a simple, happy life. But if I become rich, will that complicate my life?”
I smiled. “The simple life has nothing to do with what’s outside you but what’s inside you. It’s not about what you
own, but who you trust.”
I believe life’s greatest source of complication is in NOT trusting God. If you want to severely complicate your life, just
don’t trust God.
You’re Already a Trusting Person
First of all, let’s talk about trust in general.

I believe you cannot live a sane life in this world without trust.
When you drive your car speeding at 60 kilometers an hour, what separates you and the cars coming in the opposite
direction—also speeding at 60 kilometers an hour—is this thin white painted (usually faded) line in the middle of the road.
Can you believe that? Have you ever thought, “Hey, what if the driver of that oncoming car just got busted by his girlfriend,
or got fired from his job, or lost millions in the casino, and decides to cross that thin white painted line in the middle of the
road, to ram my car and end it all?”
If you don’t somehow trust, you won’t be able to go
anywhere. The only reason why you can drive or go anywhere is
because you have this unspoken trust that the other drivers are
sane people and won’t cross that thin white painted line in the
middle of the road.
Unless you trust, you cannot live a single day on this planet.
I’ll give you a second example. When you sit on chairs, I
bet you just plop into it. Automatically. Without much thought.
Why? You trust. You trust that the chair would hold you up,
no matter how much weight you gained from overeating that
Liempo this week. Very few people checks the chair, shakes the
chair, looks at its legs, or slowly sits down, gradually increasing
their weight, if it was strong enough to hold them up.
We already trust a lot of things. When we eat in a
restaurant, we trust the waiters will serve us food that is clean. We trust that they didn’t spit on the food because their
manager scolded them or because they’re underpaid.
One day, I was eating in a restaurant, and my wife got a toothpick from the toothpick container. With a very serious
tone in her voice, she asked me, “Bo, do you think there are crazy people in this world who would use a toothpick, and after
using it, return it back to the container?”
I told her, “Of course, that’s possible. But I’m sure that crazy guy returns it, he will lick it clean to remove the evidence.”
I’m being gross.
But you get my point. If you don’t trust, you won’t eat in restaurants. You won’t drive your car. You won’t sit down
in any chair.
You’ll be paralyzed.

Live a Simple Life by Trusting God
In the same way, a lot of people today are spiritually paralyzed. Why? Because they don’t trust God.
The only way to simplify your life is to have a deep trust in God’s love for you.
Here’s what Jesus said…
So my counsel is: Don’t worry about things—food, drink, and clothes. For you already have life and a body—and
they are far more important than what to eat and wear. Look at the birds! They don’t worry about what to eat—
they don’t need to sow or reap or store up food—for your heavenly Father feeds them. And you are far more
valuable to him than they are. Will all your worries add a single moment to your life?
“And why worry about your clothes? Look at the field lilies! They don’t worry about theirs. Yet King Solomon
in all his glory was not clothed as beautifully as they. And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here
today and gone tomorrow, won’t he more surely care for you, O men of little faith? “So don’t be anxious about
tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time.” (Matthew 6:25-30, 32)
Jesus talked about all our worries, not just worries about food and clothing.
I’ve met a lot of multimillionaires who still worry about their food and clothing. And I’ve met a lot of very poor people
who do the same.
It’s really not what we do on the outside. It’s what we do on the inside that counts.
Perhaps you’ve come from a place of struggle today. Perhaps you’re facing a severe trial right now—and you don’t
know what to do. God is telling you, “Don’t be anxious about tomorrow. I will take care of your tomorrow.”
God is saying, “I’m your chair. Sit down. Rest.”
Trust Him for Your Worth
Today, I’ve realized our greatest worry is our worry of our worth. So many people today, deep down in their hearts,
feel worthless.
When family and friends reject you, do you feel worthless?
When you fail in your job or in school, do you feel worthless?
When you fail in your marriage, do you feel worthless?
When you fail your parents, do you feel worthless?
Right this moment, I invite you to come to God and declare your trust in Him.
Live the simple life. How? Start trusting Him.
In His eyes, you’re valuable, you’re precious, you’re worthy.
What He says about you is the final word on the subject.
Trust in Him. Trust in what He says about you.
