Dear Sir, We are pleased to inform you that (in accordance with the laid down rules and regulations for accreditation of training programmes), the College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan, on the basis of physical inspection conducted on June 19", 2023 has decided to accord accreditation to Abbas Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), Muzaffarabad, AJK for FCPS training as under: 1. Urology: ‘Accreditation for FCPS training. . Anaesthesiology: Accreditation for FCPS training. tion for FCPS training for training site only. Full training will start after availability of CPSP approved Supervisor. 4. Paediatric Surgery: Accreditation for FCPS training for training site only. Full training will start after availability of CPSP approved Supervisor. Pulmonology: Accreditation for FCPS training for training site only. Full training will start after availability of CPSP approved Supervisor. 6. Orthopaedic Surgery: Accreditation for FCPS training for training site only. Full training will start after availability of CPSP approved Supervisor. For continuation of accreditation status, re-inspection is mandatory after 05 years for maintenance of improvement. Its the responsibility of head of the institution to apply for re-visit at least 3 months before expiry of accreditation status. The accreditation of the institution is valid subject to availability of R&RC registered supervisor & strict compliance with the following conditions. 1) The induction of trainees must be as per CPSP policy. Trainees are required to be registered with the Registration & Research Cell (R&RC) of the College within 30 days of commencement of their training. This is mandatory requirement failing which R&-RC will refuse registration. 3) The R&RC (CPSP) should be informed regarding the transfer / posting of the supervisor consultants and ensure the training of the trainees in not affected. 4) Proper & updated maintenance of the E-Log in accordance with the CPSP guidelines & quarterly performance report. 5) Every trainee must be paid stipend for training at par with that paid by the Federal / Provincial Governments. Honorary training is not allowed. 6) No tuition or any other fee will be charged from the trainees 7) The Institute shall also be bound to allow / permit and facilitate its teachers, fellows / supervisors to take part in academic activities of CPSP including teaching, training, workshops, courses, examinations etc when and where needed inside and outside the country. They shall be entitled for TA/DA as per institution rules and regulations, 8) Leaves: @ Annual Leave: 15 days leave is admissible during six months of training period, this leave cannot be, however accumulated and carried forward. The total leave cannot be taken at one time; the leave can be availed with the approval of head of department, Gi) Maternity Leave: Only three months can be availed once during the entire training period. The lapse period of training will have to be completed afterwards and it will be the responsibility of the trainee to fulfill the deficit period of training before being eligible for the final FCPS examination. 9) Training program for PG students in accordance with CPSP guidelines must be submitted within 3 months of induction of trainees by the Supervisor / Head of the Institution. This should include calendar of continuous medical education, namely Ward Presentations, Journal Clubs & Topics Oriented Presentations with the name of trainees and the facilitators. It is desirable that the institute shall endeavor to continuously improve and upgrade the facilities of educational atmosphere for Postgraduates.
