This pattern is for personal non-commercial use only, and you are not authorized to sell this
pattern or sell finished products created with the help of this pattern. By buying this pattern,
you agree to this. And you also agree to sew the most adorable jacket to your beloved furry
friend!

Instructions:

This is a basic jacket for your four legged love, and even if you are a beginner you will sew a
fantastic jacket for your dog! Because no amazing sewing skills are needed and even if the
final result doesn’t look good your beautiful pet will make it look cute and adorable anyway.
You are a trustworthy dog tailor and this is going to be fast and easy.

❤️MATERIALS:
-Main fabric: 70x150cm max (27,5x59 inches max). Medium weight breathable fabric is
recommended. Add a bit of spice to your coat using prints! Imagine how many people will
have a happier morning after seeing your dog enveloped in a fuchsia leopard print.
-Lining: 70 cmx150 cm max (27,5x59 inches max). Use one of your preference, depending
on how cold the temperature is in your zone. Medium weight breathable fabric is also
recommended.
-Velcro: 30 cm max (11,8 inches max). I recommend using a good quality velcro because
you know our pets are a little rebel.
❤️MEASURING YOUR DOG:
In order to sew this coat, you need a little patience to take your dog’s next measurements:
1.Neck girth: from the widest part of his neck.
2.Chest girth: from the widest part of his chest.
3.Back length: from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.

❤️SIZE CHARTS:
Choose the right size for your “perrito” on the size chart. If your dog doesn’t fit exactly on the
size chart you can easily modify the pattern as I will show you later.

❤️PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS:
-Print the A4 pattern without any margins and set the scale of your printer to 100%.
-I’ve included a 5 cm and 1 inch squares so you can test that your pattern is printed on the
right size.
-Lay out the entire pages and tape them together. DO NOT CUT BEFORE TAPING THEM
TOGETHER. I’ve included diamonds with numbers or letters so you can easily match your
pages. For example, letter A from the first page matches letter A from the second page.
Once you have taped the pages together, you can cut the pattern of your chosen size. It is
possible that you see a clear area (5mm approximately) on the edges of your pages where
the printer was not able to print. It is very important that you do not cut this area, because it
is also part of your pattern. You can easily draw that area but it uses to be so small that this
step is not necessary.

As you can see, C from one page matches with C from the next one. Same happens with the
numbers, as you can see on the image below. It is very important that you do not cut the
clear space that you can see on the margins, or you will lose part of the pattern.
❤️MODIFYING THE PATTERN:
It is possible that your dog doesn’t fit the pattern, and there is nothing wrong about it! I’ve
worked as a dog tailor and believe me, they REALLY come in all sizes and shapes. Even when
they are the same breed. But there are good news! You can modify the pattern so it fits
perfectly to your beloved friend.
The image below shows you the parts that you can modify to easily make your adjustments.

I recommend you to first try the pattern on your dog using paper or an old piece of fabric,
so you can be sure that it fits them before cutting your real fabric.

❤️CUTTING THE FABRIC:

-Iron your fabric before cutting! Never ignore this step because it makes a big difference.
-This pattern includes 1cm seam allowance.

Please cut the following pieces:

-BODY BLOCK: 1 piece on fold out of your main fabric.
-BODY BLOCK: 1 piece on fold out of lining.

This is how your pieces should look like:

❤️SEWING INSTRUCTIONS:

1: Face the right sides of the fabric and sew the seam as shown below. Sew the seam from
one notch to the other one, leaving an opening below so you can turn the piece right.

2: Turn the piece right and sew the seam all the way around, including the opening that we
left before.

3: Attach the pieces of velcro and you are done! Now you can go for a walk together and
enjoy this unique piece of dog couture that you have created with your own hands! How cool
is that?
