- Who is Ray Bradbury?

Give account on his writing style, what are the topics he grasps the
most?
Ray Bradbury was an American writer, specially known for his outstanding book named Fahrenheit
451. As we can read in Fahrenheit 451, we can perceive that his writing style is mostly related to
science fiction combined with horror or mystery. In the reading we can get the idea about real life
situations established in the book, such as futuristic and fantasy props or situations.

- On these first fifteen pages, what is the main aspect of the book?
There’s an introduction about how people in society live. We can get the idea of how the firemans
need to burn down every book they find, because they’re against the law. The protagonist, Montag, is
one fireman who’s at their 30 and lives with his wife, Mildred. One day, Montag went to his house
garden, where he met Clarisse; his neighbor who asks him odd questions. To the readers we can
associate that her personality is too energetic or happy because she reads books, but to Montag he
seems confused about the bunch of questions made, also at the last one when she asked if he was
happy, this seemed to disturb his thoughts.

Once he comes back to his house, he finds Mildred who’s apparently took all the pills. She got
intoxicated which led him to call emergency services. She got stomach washed. Montag complains
that she took everything, yet Mildred continues to insist that she didn't. Montag just says that she
probably forgot that she took all the pills. Montag seems to be confused about his living.

- What are the characters introduced here?

-Montag.
-Mildred.
-Clarisse.

- How does the author describe them? Is there anything related to identity, culture, subculture
and counterculture that might be grasped here? Give detailed account.
- Montag is described as an insecure man who is vulnerable towards society. Clarisse is described as a
17 year old girl, how is very active which leads people to think she is crazy, she’s described as
someone who likes to watch sunsets, smells and see things. Mildred is Montag’s wife, she is a
submissive person who follows everyone’s instructions.

Yes, this is related to identity because every character has their own qualities which creates their own
characteristics. The society also includes their own personality in general, well they are all the same
because they don’t have different perspectives. They all think the same because their culture is to only
watch television and gossip around, the way the society in this book is constructed, is the way that
they don’t receive any education so they can’t think on their own.
