4000 Series governing capability

Perkins Engines Company Limited (“Perkins”) is a company registered in England, company number 2089227, with its registered office at Eastfield, Frank

Perkins designs, manufactures and sells industrial diesel engines, including diesel engines in the
4-2000kW (5-2600 hp) power range to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customers in the industrial, construction, agriculture, marine and power
generating markets around the world.

Perkins 4000 Series diesel engines for power generation are electronically governed. All engine ratings have been developed such that the steady state speed
stability at constant load meets ISO8528-5:2018 class G3.

The engine speed governing system complies with the requirements of classification 3 and 4 of ISO 8528-12:1997 and with G3 operating limits stated under ISO
8528-5. Performance in an OEM machine can be influenced by the choice of alternator and voltage regulation system. For further information on genset
electrical load acceptance please discuss with the genset OEM.
