Characteristics Of Good Driveways
Standard Driveway
Width
• Primarily, most professionals install a 10 feet
to 12 feet wide driveway. The standard
driveway width for conventional pickup truck
is 10 feet.
• Anything less than 10’ wide will likely present
difficulties for drivers, even in smaller vehicles.
• An 8’ – 9’ feet wide driveway should only be
used if you have no other option.
• For the use of larger vehicles such as work
trucks, a driveway with 12 feet width at
minimum is preferable.
