Wagon moving equipment and

shunting locomotives

Steelwheel is specialised in producing shunting locomotives and

wagon moving equipment. We can deliver all rail-related wagon
moving and shunting solutions from a winch system for moving a
couple of wagons up to shunting heavy trains under demanding
conditions with a six-axle shunting robot. The product range
includes OTSO-winch moving winches, OTSO-robot shunters
and OTSO shunting locomotives.

Brake testing equipment

The brake testing equipment is

used for train brake controlling
and testing before line driving. The
equipment supplies the pneumatic
braking system with compressed
air and performs a leakage test
automatically. After this, by means
of an ordinary cell phone the driver
can control the brake testing system
and test the brakes. All data is
saved on a server, and the brake
testing system can additionally be
connected to the operator’s data
processing system.

Savings in performing
predeparture check
The brake testing system speeds
up the predeparture check and
enhances the utilisation rate of
locomotives. This allows markable
cost-savings in the use of the roll-
ing stock. Also, the personnel can
plan their work more flexibly, and
they do not have to wait until the
locomotive arrives in the front of
the train. There are fewer distur-
bances and the maintenance costs
are lower, when the train can be
supplied with high-quality and dry
compressed air.
