If left untreated , calcium deficiency leads to death. 4, Various bone mineral density (BMD) tests are available, The ‘T-score from these tests compares an individual's BMD to an optional (that of a healthy 30-year old adult). A T-score of 1.0 and above indicates normal bone density, 1.0 to 2.5 indicates low bone mass (osteopenia), and lower than-2.5 indicates osteoporosis.
