INTRODUCTION

I am Vinit Patel, currently enrolled in the TY BBA program. During my recent internship at Marvel
Agro Industries, I had the opportunity to gain valuable experience. The duration of my internship
program was six weeks. Marvel Agro Industries specializes in the cleaning and sorting of various
grains, seeds, and pulses.

During my internship, I was assigned to the marketing department. My primary responsibilities


involved contacting traders to ensure timely payment for previously purchased products. Additionally,
I actively engaged with potential new customers and traders to expand the company's sales
opportunities.

Throughout my internship, I developed a comprehensive understanding of effective communication


strategies and refined my skills in customer relationship management. I gained firsthand experience in
bridging the gap between the company and its customers, thereby contributing to enhanced sales
performance.

Overall, my internship at Marvel Agro Industries provided me with a solid foundation in marketing
operations and strengthened my ability to foster mutually beneficial relationships with clients.
THE COMPANY

The company is known as "Marvel Agro," specializing in the cleaning and packaging of various grains,
such as wheat and moong, for sale under their own brand in the market. Located in Surat, Gujarat,
Marvel Agro has established itself as a prominent player in this industry, commanding a market share
of over 40%.

Marvel Agro operates as a partnership firm, consisting of three partners in total.


EVOLUTION AND HISTORY

Marvel Agro, a company established in March 2008 by Suresh Bhai Patel And Darshan Bhai Shah,
proudly inaugurated its first Satake Sortex plant in Surat, Gujarat. Satake, a renowned Japanese-based
company with a remarkable foundation dating back to 1896, provided the advanced sorting technology
for the initial plant.

Initially, Marvel Agro operated a single plant in Surat. However, driven by its success and the growing
demand for its services, the company made the strategic decision to expand its operations. As a result,
it established a second plant in Surat, marking a significant milestone in its journey. This expansion
enabled Marvel Agro to enhance its production capacity and effectively meet the rising needs of its
valued clientele.

As time progressed, Marvel Agro ventured into diverse market categories, demonstrating its
commitment to innovation and growth. The company strategically expanded its presence in the moong
market, daal market, wheat industry, and other related sectors. This expansion into various categories
allowed Marvel Agro to broaden its product portfolio and cater to the evolving demands of its
customers.

Through its dedication to quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement, Marvel Agro
has established itself as a reputable player in the industry. With its Satake Sortex plants, the company
has been able to deliver exceptional sorting and processing solutions, ensuring the production of high-
quality grains across different market segments.

In addition to its growth in various grain markets, Marvel Agro, under the leadership of its founder,
expanded its business presence in significant daal markets in Siddhpur. This expansion allowed the
company to tap into new opportunities and cater to a wider customer base.

Furthermore, Marvel Agro established itself as a trusted supply partner of Moong and daal to
renowned retail stores, including the well-known "D-Mart" chain. This partnership highlights the
company's commitment to delivering high-quality products and meeting the demands of consumers
through reputable retail outlets.

By venturing into different daal markets and establishing partnerships with prominent retail stores,
Marvel Agro has solidified its position in the industry and strengthened its distribution network. This
expansion strategy has contributed to the company's growth and reputation as a reliable supplier of
Moong and daal in the market.

The mission of a wheat-based SortX plant is to revolutionize the sorting and processing of wheat by
leveraging advanced technology and automation. The plant aims to enhance the efficiency, quality, and
sustainability of the wheat sorting process, ultimately benefiting farmers, millers, and consumers.

Vision:
The vision of a wheat-based SortX plant is to become a global leader in wheat sorting and processing
solutions. The plant envisions a future where advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence,
machine learning, and robotics, are seamlessly integrated into the wheat processing industry, resulting
in improved productivity, reduced waste, and increased profitability for all stakeholders.

The plant aims to:

Improve Sorting Efficiency: By utilizing cutting-edge sorting technologies, the plant seeks to achieve
higher levels of accuracy and speed in separating wheat grains based on their quality, size, and other
characteristics. This will enable the production of high-quality wheat products and reduce the presence
of contaminants or impurities.

MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE

The governance and management structure of the Sortex plant can vary depending on the specific
organization and its size. However, I can provide you with a general outline of the key roles and
responsibilities typically found in such a plant:

Executive Leadership: At the top level, there is an executive leadership team responsible for setting
the overall strategic direction and vision of the plant. This team may include a Chief Executive Officer
(CEO), Chief Operations Officer (COO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and other senior executives.

Plant Manager/General Manager: This individual is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the
Sortex plant. They oversee the entire plant facility, manage personnel, ensure production targets are
met, and coordinate with other departments to maintain smooth operations.

Operations and Production Team: This team is responsible for the actual sorting and processing of
wheat. It includes operators, technicians, and supervisors who operate and maintain the sorting

Research and Development (R&D): Depending on the plant's focus and innovation goals, there may

PRODUCTS

Sarbati wheat; Sarbati wheat, also known as Sarbati Atta or Sarbati Gehun, is a high-quality wheat
variety that is primarily grown in the Indo-Gangetic plains of India, particularly in the states of Punjab
and Haryana. It is renowned for its superior taste, aroma, and nutritional properties.

Rajwadi Wheat : Rajwadi is known for its high yield potential, good quality grains, and resistance
to various diseases. Rajwadi wheat has a long, slender grain with a golden yellow colour. The grain is
hard, which makes it suitable for making chapatis and other Indian bread. One of the reasons for the
popularity of Rajwadi wheat is its ability to withstand various pests and diseases. It has shown
resistance to leaf rust, stem rust, and powdery mildew, which are common diseases that affect wheat
crops.

GEOGRAPHICAL SPREAD OF FACILITIES
