Buzz Aldrin Marries for Fourth Time on 93rd Birthday
Retired US astronaut Buzz Aldrin has married for a fourth time, on his 93rd
birthday.

Aldrin wrote on Twitter that he was happy to announce that he had married
his "long-time love" Dr. Anca Faur.

Faur, 63, is the executive vice president of Buzz Aldrin Ventures in Los
Angeles.

Aldrin said the couple had a small wedding in Los Angeles. He shared two
photographs of them in their wedding clothes on Twitter and Facebook.
Aldrin was on the famous Apollo 11 mission that let the first humans walk
on the moon on July 20, 1969. He was the second person to walk on the
moon, following Neil Armstrong outside after their small spacecraft landed.

Armstrong began the first moonwalk more than four days after the Apollo
mission left Cape Kennedy — now Cape Canaveral — in Florida. Aldrin
followed about 20 minutes later.

About 650 million people around the world watched the moonwalk on
TV. At the time, it was the largest television audience ever, and Aldrin and
Armstrong became global celebrities.

Aldrin was born Edwin Eugene Aldrin, Jr. in New Jersey in 1930. He was a US
Air Force pilot, fighting in the Korean War, before he became an astronaut
in 1963.

He officially changed his name to "Buzz" in 1988.

Norway Opens 'World's Longest' Cycling Tunnel
The city of Bergen in Norway has opened the world's longest tunnel built
specially for cyclists and pedestrians — a 2.9-kilometer route through a
mountain.
The Fyllingsdalen tunnel is one of two tunnels along a 7.8 -kilometer, traffic-
free path connecting Bergen's downtown with the suburb of Fyllingsdalen.

The tunnel reduces the average journey time for cyclists traveling to central
Bergen by about 22 minutes. As they pass under Mount Løvstakken,
pedestrians need about 36 minutes to travel through the tunnel , while
cyclists only need 10 minutes.

In 2022, Bergen was second on a list of the world's most sustainable cities,
after the Swedish city of Gothenburg.

Bergen added the route for pedestrians and cyclists as part of its plan to
become a greener city. The route was built for about $12 million, using the
emergency exit tunnel for a train tunnel that was built in 2022.

The tunnel is the world's second longest tunnel for cyclists and pedestrians,
but the longest one specially built for them. The 3.6-kilometer Snoqualmie
tunnel, near Seattle in the United States, is the world's longest one for
cyclists and pedestrians. It is an old train tunnel.

To make users feel more comfortable, the Fyllingsdalen tunnel has colorful
lights and walls, rest areas, security cameras and cellphone service.

In Bergen's cold winters, the tunnel might also be a good place to get
warm, as the temperature inside is about 7 degrees Celsius for the whole
year.
