TAMEER STEEL is specialized in producing reinforcement steel bars from 10 to 32 mm. Product
comes to the customer after undergoing a rigid inspection strictly as per customer requirements in his
defined application. At all stages of the manufacturing, proper care is taken to prevent the pollution
and keep healthy environment in and around the plant.

N In no case shall maximum size of coarse aggregate exceed 3/4 of the minimum clear
spacing between bars or between reinforcing bars and forms.
P For general purpose, a maximum size of 25 mm shall be satisfactory.
2.3 MIXING WATER
A Mixing water for concrete: Comply with ASTM C94M, shall be drinking water (potable
water) or water of chemical composition acceptable for drinking (except for bacterio-
logical limits) and be clean and free from organic impurities, industrial, contamina-
tion oils, salts and any other substances that may be harmful to cement or steel rein-
forcement.
B For plain concrete and mud slabs without reinforcement sea water may be used for
mixing concrete only after approval of the Engineer, and increasing the cement to
obtain same compressive strength required.
2.4 STEEL REINFORCING BARS
A Reinforcement shall be as shown on Drawings and shall comply with the require-
ments of the Standard Specifications for:
1. High Yield steel “T”: ASTM A 615 Grade 60 deformed bars ( fy = 420 MPa).
2. Mild Steel “Y”: ASTM A 36 Grade 36 (fy = 250 MPa).
3. Welded Wire fabrics: ASTM 252.
B Grade 420 bars shall be deformed and contain notches to sustain better bond with
concrete. The area of the non-continuous notches and deformations shall not be tak-
en into consideration.
C Table 3 gives the lower limit for the results of the Standard Tensile Test.

D Mill certificates shall be submitted for each consignment of reinforcing steel. This mill
certificates shall state the place of manufacture, details of composition, manufacture,
strength, and mill analysis and test reports. Follow-up tests shall be performed by an
approved testing laboratory. Specimens shall be selected by the representative of
testing laboratory under the supervision of the Engineer from batches received on
Site.

1-The chemicals steel properties have been re-tested and the test results reports have been reviewed and found to be satisfactory as per project specifications.
2-the mechanical steel properties have been tested previously and the test results reports have been reviewed as per attached the following diameters 12-14-
16-20-25-32 mm accepted, regarding the diameter 10 mm isn't achieve the elongation requirements as per the ASTM -615 ,re-test required for approval.
3-JVC has to submit MIR for each delivery of steel with the compliance certificate and the frequency test will be done under the TSC witness prior to start the
work.
