GUIDELINES ON ELIGIBILITY / SCRUTINY CRITERIA

SUBJECT: RECRUITMENT TO ONE (01) POST OF JOINT CHIEF ECONOMIST

(BS-20) ON CONTRACT BASIS FOR A PERIOD OF THREE YEARS
IN THE PUNJAB PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT BOARD, LAHORE.
QUALIFICATION:

a. Ph.D in Economics / Economics Planning / Economics Policy / Development

Economics / Agricultural Economics / Transportation Economics / Industrial
Economics / Business Administration or Public Finance from a recognized
University;
b. Five years’ experience in the field of Development Administration and Research in
the area of Economics / Macro-economic Policy making / Public Finance or other
fields of Economic Planning or Development; and
c. At least three publications (books / articles or research papers printed in well-
reputed national and international journals / periodicals) to be evaluated by the
Commission.
Note:-

i. Applicants are directed to provide hard copy of their on-line application form
alongwith two photocopy sets of all relevant documents & publication within 07
working days after the closing date failing which their applications will be treated
as rejected and no further communication will be entertained in this regard.
ii. The Commission shall not accept publications of a candidate which have been
published after the closing date for receipt of applications for the advertised post.
iii. Only the Research Experience gained after Prescribed Qualification shall be
accepted.
iv. Experience in private entities shall be accepted if such entity is registered with
SECP, Registrar of Firms or any other Regulatory Authority along with valid
registration certificate of private entity.

AGE LIMIT:
Male Candidates: 35 to 45 + 05 Years = 50 years.
Female Candidates: 35 to 45 + 08 Years = 53 years.

The following original documents are required for guidelines on

eligibility/scrutiny criteria to the post of JOINT CHIEF ECONOMIST
(BS-20).

1. Valid CNIC (It must not be expired on last day of applying

online for the subject post).
2. Certificate of Matriculation/O. Level
3. Certificate of Intermediate/A. Level
4. Bachelor’s Degree including DMCs showing Total and Obtained
Marks / Percentage Certificate from Controller of Examination is
required in case candidate have degree with only CGPA as PPSC
does not accept CGPA.
5. Master’s Degree including DMCs showing Total and Obtained Marks
/ Percentage Certificate from Controller of Examination is required
in case candidate have degree with only CGPA as PPSC does not
accept CGPA.

Department issued on or before the Closing Date of submission of
