PRE-LESSON 1. Pupils play a circle game to review numbers up to twelve in word form.
Activity 1:
1. Teacher introduces telling the time (on the hour and half past) using the board or toy clocks
if available.
2. Pupils watch the video on how to tell the time.
3. Teacher set the toy clock to different times and tell the time.
4. Pupils listen and repeat. e.g. It’s (one) o’clock. / It’s half past two.
5. Set the clock again to different times and ask pupils What’s the time?
LESSON DEVELOPMENT 6. Pupils are encouraged to answer It’s ____ o’clock./ It’s half past ______ .
Activity 2:
7. Pupils refers to SB pg 10 Activity 1.
8. Pupils listen to the CD Track 13 and point out the time.
9. Next, pupils play the game in Activity 1 in pairs.
10. Teacher monitor as pupils work on this activity. Depending on their performance, you could
ask pupils to repeat Activity 1 with new partners.
POST LESSON 1. Pupils do exercises on WB page 5.
