    Student Writing Practice

    Write about what job you wanted to have when you were younger.

    What job do you have now? What job do you want in the future, and what skills will you need?

    Write eight to ten sentences. Use will/be going to, able to, not able to, and the future
    continuous tense.

    I use many different service providers in my town. I get my hair cut at a hairdresser, and sometimes I get my hair
    dyed. My mother always said that we had to do our own laundry, so I always do it myself at home. I've had the dry
    cleaner do my laundry once or twice while I was traveling. On special occasions, I go to the spa and have them
    give me a massage. I was looking for a new apartment last year, and I had a real estate agent find me the perfect
    place. When my car needs a wash, I get the car wash to clean it for me. The last time I was there, they told me my
    car needed an oil change. They also recommended a mechanic and said he was the best in town.
