1.What images/mental pictures were formed on your mind while reading the poem?
- The image /mental picture that were formed in mind while reading the poem are lovers at the breezy
and beautiful beach. They are spending their time together and make memories that only for them to
remember.
- The theme of the poem for me is love to their partner and loved ones.
4. Why do you think the author used Yato as his subject, and not any other island in the region?
- Yato was one of the Guimaras islands affected by the Philippines' worst oil spill in 2006. After a few
years, its beauty and abundance of water returned. This island is not well-known on social media, but it
is one of those islands whose beauty and charm originate from visitors' exploration of its hidden allure
and having the eyes to see the beauty of things in their very existence.
- The purpose of the author in writing this is to invite her “pangga” to Yato island so they could spend
their time together.
