Undeniably, life is an arduous journey inevitably full of hardships and obstacles.
That said, whether it be a suffering or joy greatly comes down to people’s powerful inner drive and self-motivation to overcome all adversities, ultimately achieving great success. Here is how I write my own story. Acceptance, optimism, and enthusiasm. By Thu Ha, Published: 10:11 GMT, 22rd September When I was 10 years old, both my parents died in a traffic accident. Afterwards, I was brought up by my grandmother. Unlike many other happy kids who had a care-free childhood, mine was filled with endless odd jobs to do for a living: selling lottery tickets, washing dishes and doing babysitting. Later, when I completed my secondary education and passed a challenging exam to enter Medical University, I was unable to cover expensive tuition fees. I was really upset and depressed because I failed to take advantage of such a golden opportunity that could change my whole life once and forever. To makes matters worse, I even came to a thinking that I would have a grim future with starvation and distress. Luckily enough, I did not back down to it and eventually, I was extremely happy to be awarded a scholarship from The Thanh Nien for college students from poor families, which was also a turning point in my life. After six years of diligence and dedication, I finally graduated from my university and started my own career with an optimistic viewpoint. And now, I am working as a doctor in a prestigious hospital in my region. Also, I am planning to run a charitable organization to help poor children for better lives. So, you have just heard about my from-rags-to-riches story and I wrote it with a view to encouraging and awakening your inner strength to face and cope with challenges that life brings. Poverty is no shame. Don’t let poverty defeat you and destroy your hope for a better future.
