● Provision of Small Scale Community Project on Construction of 1 Unit
Tribal Display Center and Museum for 15 Indigenous Peoples
Beneficiaries of Purok Saging, Barangay Poblacion, Tboli, South
Cotabato.

● June 2023 to December, 2023

● Barangay Compound, Purok Saging, Barangay Poblacion, Tboli,
South Cotabato.

● 15 RCCT IP Beneficiaries
● Php 375,000.00
The culture and traditions of the indigenous Tboli are slowly disappearing because
the elders of the new generation can no longer teach and show the younger
generation. Traditional tools are often ruined and other historical records are lost and
neglected due lack of proper care and storage.
Indigenous peoples hold a rich diversity of living heritage, including practices,
representations, expressions, knowledge and skills that continue to be relevant and
provide meaning in everyday life.

1. To have a tribal display center and museum this will preserve the historical
records, documents, and traditional tools of the Tboli People.
2. To have a proper place where the IPs can freely celebrate activities that
contribute to the development and enrichment of the culture and traditions of
the Tboli Tribe.
3. To have a nice and proper place that can be used as a Showroom for tourists
and anyone who are interested to see and learn about traditional tools,
artifacts, and history of the Tboli Tribe.
4. Products made by the Tbolis can be well laid out.
5. To collaborate with the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples to
provide technical assistance to preserve and propagate the culture and
traditions of the indigenous people for the benefit of the next generation of the
Tboli tribe.
6. Income generation through tboli native products display.
5. It is also considered that the Republic act No. 11291 or Magna Carta of the poor
seeks the establishment of a system of progressive realization to ensure the poor’s
full enjoyment of their rights lo adequate food, decent work, relevant and quality
education, adequate housing, and highest attainable standard of health.

V. Expected Outputs/Outcome.
2. It will no longer be difficult for the indigenous people to sell their products to tourists
and enthusiasts.
4. Older indigenous people will no longer fear that the new generation will lose and
forget their traditions and culture. (Preservation of Cultural Identity)
6. Able to inform the majority about the traditions, culture and history of the Tboli
Tribe.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is the lead government
agency for social welfare and development in the nation that contributes to poverty
alleviation and empowerment through the provision of social protection and the
promotion of the rights and welfare of the poor. Local and national policies, programs,
projects and services are implemented with or through local government units (LGUs),
non-government organizations (NGOs), people’s organizations (POs), and other
government organizations (GOs) are converge to address the pressing need of the less
fortunate Filipinos.
The BLGU will hold two (2) meetings a month to discuss the completed parts of the project
and the possible problems in its implementation and will have the opportunity to participate
in the barangay session to present the agreements/problems and recommendations in the
implementation of the sub-project.
BLGU Chairman- Will led the overall aspect of project preparation and implementation.
Lead and ensure that all committees are orderly and organized acting according to the
assigned task. Included in his responsibilities are convening meetings to discuss issues and
concerns in project implementation, requesting records of completed and completed work by
the Project Preparation Team, Audit and Inventory Team, Operation and Maintenance
Team, Project Implementation Team, Grievance Redress System and Monitoring and
Inspection Team.
Grievance Redress System Team - will handle all official complaints regarding violations of
the implementation policy. It is its duty to review each complaint and if it is found to be well -
founded it will conduct a meeting between the complainant and the respondent. Making
official note and submitting the outcome of the review and investigation to the BLGU
Chairman.
Monitoring & Inspection Team - will oversee the inspection of the museum and display
center. Part of the committee's responsibility is to monitor possible issues and concerns so

that it can be resolved immediately and not cause more serious problems in the
implementation of the project.

To ensure that the project will maintain its sustainability, the Project Development
Officers/Municipal Links of DSWD will be responsible in monitoring and
evaluating the project together with joint participation of the Municipal
Information Office, Municipal Tribal Office, Municipal Tourism Office and
MSWDO and other Accredited Institution.
