• Field service management (FSM) touches every part of the field operation,
including:
➢Assigning and scheduling work orders
➢Dispatching employees to new work assignments
➢Communicating with employees in the field
➢Collecting field data (such as time of arrival, job completion, requests for
information)
➢Sharing job data or customer history with field employees
➢Routing employees to different jobs
➢Managing product inventory and availability
➢Doing VQA
• Inside the VQA checklist all tabs are shown with uploads inside to
check.
• Most important things to check during the VQA Small cell (CRAN):
• Antenna (tape drops, manufacturer label, coax jumpers, antenna
bracket and grounding).
• RRUs (tap drops, bracket/shroud installation, hardware installation,
green lights, sunshields, manufacturer labels, jumpers/fiber/power
installation and grounding).
• Fiber and demarc (fiber routing and termination to demarc, fiber
excess).
• Power components (tape drops, AC disconnect, meter, labels,
signage, conduit/LB installation, grounding and ground rode
installation).
• Diplexers/rectifiers (installation and manufacturer labels).
• CRAN node regulatory closeout (photos for antenna ports, RRUs
serial numbers, jumpers serial numbers, overall images for all site,
this part is for closeout).

Tower services: Antennas
➢ Ground
• Equipment must be grounded
• If the equipment has the option
for 1-hole or 2-hole lugs, always
use the 2-hole
• Grounds require torque paint
• Heat shrink is not allowed on lugs
on the tower

Tower services: Squid
• Mounting (all hardware, no-ox, tight).
• Grounding (no-ox, torque paint, lead to ground bar).
• Penetrations (All penetrations must have OEM-issues
grommets and fittings).
• Power installation inside (correct lugs, no-ox, lexan
covers if needed, o-rings, grounds and drains).
• Routing and support of trunks.
• Routing of fiber jumpers.
• Mid hoisting grip (support for trunks, connected to
tower members, if more than 200’).
• Fiber relief clip.
• Alarm, green lights and labels.
• This part is for fiber installation from the tower to the shelter/cabinet,
FMB/FMT installation and inside installation.
• Loose RF connections
• Poorly prepared RF cable
terminations
• Improperly mated or
misaligned parts
• Cracked/cold solder joints
• Metal chips and shavings
• Loose fasterners
• Rust
• Nickle plating
• If no PIM Hygiene driver is attached, PIM mitigation must be followed, regardless of frequencies on site
• PIM mitigation applies to current SOW only and we are not to introduce any new sources of PIM
• For example, Pos 1 and 4 have equipment supported with hose clamps and SS hardware. We are
installing new equipment in Pos 2. With no hygiene driver, we are only responsible for Pos 2 since we do
not want to introduce any new PIM issues.
• Another example would be equipment swaps and relocations. Anything swapped or moved would need
to have PIM mitigation applied to all support of the new equipment. “We used existing” is not a valid
argument.
