Way of Enjoyment

UruguayNatural.tv: a YouTube channel that serves as a passport for you to continue traveling from
home

03/20/2020

Traveling and going out to tour the country for tourism is not on anyone's agenda. With the
cancellation of all the shows planned for these dates and the measures implemented to contain
the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus, it is good for all of us to stay home and take care of
ourselves. However, nobody says that your imagination or your mind can not fly high and go to the
places you want. In this sense, while you are at home, we propose a virtual trip through our
country through UruguayNatural.tv, the YouTube channel of the Ministry of Tourism, with more
than 2,000 own contents that transform them into the largest bank of tourist images of Uruguay
and today, in the health emergency that we all endure, the only valid passport to travel.

You can enjoy the wonders through the YouTube channel of UruguayNatural.tv

The suggestion is not to leave the house, not to move unnecessarily. The idea is to contain the
spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus. The reality that we all have to bear is an opportunity to
awaken creativity. How were those tango steps that you never learned due to lack of time to go to
class? What difference was there between the candombe touches of Ansina, Cuareim and Cordón?
When did Carlos Páez Vilaró start building Casapueblo? Whether due to a pending issue or due to
a doubt or curiosity, today we have to look for different alternatives to distract ourselves and
learn.

The same thing happens with traveling: you have to find a way around this, especially when it
comes to spending a long time at home, with adults who have to adopt new forms of work and
children who ask for, claim and need attention. In this, technology serves as a point of help. That is
to say, if we find one or more tutorials for the tango steps, while for the candombe touches we
receive the audio of a whatsapp from a friend and for Casapueblo we use internet encyclopedias,
to travel we have a passport open to everything the country: UruguayNatural.tv, the audiovisual
content channel of the Ministry of Tourism that, with 10 years of transmission, has more than
2,000 content from all over the country. If you can travel from home!

This year, in which UruguayNatural.tv reaches its tenth season –it began its digital journey on
December 10, 2010 and was immediately recognized by the World Tourism Organization with the
Ulysses award–, the channel not only has the best videos of tourist interest in HD, but is also a
provider of quality images for local and foreign media productions that come to the country to
make Uruguay known as a tourist destination.
In other words, UruguayNatural.tv is today a formidable ally to get ahead of this health emergency
that the world is experiencing, because with just one click one can be traveling, from the living
room of his house, through landscapes of the Painted Birds Corridor , discovering its charming
villages or visiting the Anglo Museum; you can enter the South Central region, with its picturesque
family wineries; you can get carried away by the northern region of the country, with its atypical
ravines and its subtropical climate; you can tour the capital, Montevideo, and discover the charm
of everything that surrounds the Metropolitan region; You can get soaked in the waters of the
Atlantic, touring the eastern region populated by beaches, protected areas and old farmhouses.

For this reason we propose a virtual trip, a trip that you can take while you are at home, a trip with
many destinations. A trip that you can put together to your liking, with destinations that you can
discover through different cycles, such as "Weekends in main destinations", "Months by region",
"Pioneers of Tourism", "Centennial Theaters", " Golf and Landscapes” and “Celestial Destinations”,
among others. In total, there are more than 2,000 own contents made by the Ministry of Tourism
for this YouTube channel, which broadcasts 24 hours a day and, worth noting, provides material
for other channels that we celebrate and applaud for their quality, such as Discovery , Fox, NatGeo
and CNN, among others.

Among these cycles, one of the most recent productions is a chapter of “Tourism Pioneers”,
dedicated to Nicolás Mihanovich, the mentor of the Plaza de Toros del Real de San Carlos, in the
department of Colonia. This six-minute audiovisual comes at a time when work is progressing to
recover the monumental building, which will be converted into a large cultural and sports center
that will diversify the offer of one of the main tourist destinations in the country. .

Cycles for all tastes

As we have already highlighted, "Pioneers of Tourism" shows us who were the people who, with
their inspiration, talent and dedication, changed the course of tourism in the country.

yes “Open Curtain” invites us to visit the interior theaters that, after decades of deterioration and
disuse, reopen their doors. It is a cultural journey through a destination. For its part, each chapter
of "Golf and Landscapes" shows us, through a reference to this sport, the attributes of golf clubs
and their courses, giving us small lessons of this sport that, in some way, becomes the excuse to
discover magical and enchanting landscapes of Uruguay.
In the case of "Month by tourist regions", it is a cycle with the main attractions of each region of
the country -five in total- and the reasons to visit them in each month of the year, as for example
now in March it would be the harvest . "Celestial Destinations" is a trip to the homeland of the
players of the Uruguayan national team.

The list goes on and every minute is a step we are taking on this virtual journey. The invitation is
done. Soon we will surely visit these places and others, remembering that there are no borders for
the imagination.
