SCAMMING

Is there anybody here who knows someone close to you, your relatives or
maybe your own neighbors lost a lot of money and end up in debt because of scams?
Unwanted messages and solicitations bombard us on a regular basis.

Good morning my dear friends. I am standing here today to deliver a speech

entitled “Scammers” and I will specifically talk on the reasons why people fall for
scammers. I have always been curious as to how people fall for scammers and this has
motivated me to do extensive research on this topic. Scammers refers to one who
does everything to steal from another, usually by means of trickery, deceit, and force.
Many people around the world have become victims of scammers due to greed and
ignorance.

Let us now try to understand why do people fall prey to these scams? People
become victims of scammers as they are ignorant. They are not aware of how
scammers operate and think that it will not happen to them. They believe people too
easily and this is especially true among the older people. Scammers are smart in
identifying these people and the moment they know that they have one possible
victim in their hands, they will go all out to convince the victims either by promising
big profits or helping the victims from paying fines.

The second reason why people fall for scamming is due to their own greed.
People are scared to miss the opportunity of a lifetime, to miss out on that one
opportunity that could see them getting rich beyond their wildest dreams and fulfil
every dream they ever had in their life and show the rest of the world. So, when they
are promised easy money by the scammers, they are persuaded to invest all their life
time savings without doing any investigations.

In conclusion, today I have shared with you some information on how people
become victims of scamming which are due to ignorance and greed. The
government can combat scamming by implementing stricter regulations, increasing
law enforcement efforts, educating the public about common scams, and promoting
cyber security measures to protect individuals from fraudulent activities. So, the next
time someone calls and offers you cash, be alert. Be aware. Lets combat scamming
together.

Thank you.
