As Jesus taught us in the book of Matthew 6:33,

We should seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, then all those things shall be
added to us.
This means, that success, blessing, breakthrough comes when your aim, focus and
desire is to build God’s kingdom.
But you should always remember that faith is not a magic button that you press and
receive all these things immediately.
When you pray, your prayer and use of this spiritual investment oil ‘must be
followed by an attitude of absolute faith that God is working out the answer.
So, whatever your present situation – don’t concentrate on it. Learn to focus on
serving God wholeheartedly, doing your best and leaving the rest to Him.
So, when it is God’s appointed time for that breakthrough – nothing can stop it!

As a Christian, whatever situation you are passing through now is for a purpose.
It may be to stop you awhile in order to preserve you for redemption, in order to
keep you for a new level in life, to prepare you for the challenges ahead, to reform
you for a better position in God.
So take heart, in every situation, God has something to say through the spiritual
investment oil ‘Even when He seems to be quiet, He is still saying something!”
Life is too short to waste our time on things that have no lasting significance or value.
It is not how long you live that counts, but how well.
Have you been told? See every minute as important. Make the most of every
opportunity that comes your way.

Having a good relation ship with the man of God or prophet ‘ does not change your
relationship with Him. Therefore, take the time to read your Bible with devotion
because there you meet Him face to face.
“Those who are rich in every sense of the world understand that life is a learning
“What causes sadness and anguish to the man without vision is a source of joy to the

“There is something far more important than your present situation – your dream
and your goal.”
“Today, be encouraged to stay focused on God. As Christians, our focus should be
only on what God has to say, not on what our natural circumstances have to say”
“You can be bold as a Christian through knowing that you are a faith man, a faith
woman! Be bold to speak God’s language. “
“Jesus is all the world to me my life, my joy, my all. He is my strength from day to day
Without Him, I would fall.”
“Looking the other way when your brother is in trouble is equal to rejecting Christ
Himself.”
Do you know that in Heaven your thoughts are louder than your words? Our
thoughts control and dominate us because they are the seed of life. What is the
state of your mind? The state of your mind matters. When the Word of God
dominates your mind, it will influence your conduct and behaviour. Without active
cooperation of the mind, the Spirit has no means of expressing itself. Your mind
must be at its best for God (John 4:20-24)

TBJ As a Christian, when you are in the midst of the people of the world, you are
in a danger zone where falsehood, covetousness, unfaithfulness, greed and the

always remember, you are in a danger zone.
Mathew 10:12, 14 – “As you enter the home, give it your greeting….if anyone will
not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you

Jesus knows we are in a danger zone, that is why He instructed the disciples to
flee from those who would not receive them. Remember, that anywhere you find
yourself, there are four kinds of people: those who multiply, add, divide and
subtract. Don’t keep the company of those divide and subtract from life but those
who will encourage you to grow in faith. Don’t be too quick to trust. Be sure that
those in whom you trust are led by Christ each day. Never forget you are in a
danger zone.

Matthew 12:34-37 – “But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day
of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.”
When you speak any word, whether positive or negative, you are filling the air.
Do not just fill the air; speak words that build other people up – words that edify,
heal, deliver, bless and save.
Do you want to speak? Pause a minute and think about what your usual
conversations have been like! Is your speech profitable to others? Do your words
build others up or pull them down? Above all, do our words glorify God? If we are
honest with ourselves, we must admit that much of our conversation is nothing
more than empty talk.
Our Lord Jesus Christ has warned against speaking idle words because for every
idle word a man speaks, he shall be accountable. In Matthew 12:30-34, we are
told that God takes notice of every word we say, even that which we ourselves
do not notice. Vain and idle talk is a product of a vain and idle heart; they are
unprofitable and not pleasing to God Almighty. Believers need Holy Spirit to function
properly in their calling. Being under the influence or power of the Holy Spirit makes our lives and
journey very easy. Nobody can do the will of God without the Holy Spirit. He is only person who can
empower you to function actively or effectively in the things of God. Whether you are a businessman
or woman, pastor, prophet, bishop, president, etc. You need Holy Spirit! Holy Spirit is the spirit of
God who empower men of God to do his work. It is difficult or impossible to work with God without
the Holy Spirit because you cannot do things right. Operating under his power brings you into the

do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or drink; or about your body, what
you will wear…..who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?”
(Mathew 6:25;27). What are you anxious about? The Bible says do not be
anxious for anything for they will come when the time comes. God has set the
time for anything He created under the sun. A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to laugh and a time to cry. (Ecclesiastes 3:1-4). Remember, God’s time is
the best. When it is God’s time appointed for a certain thing to happen, your
personal effort, your anxiety, your pressure and tension, would not be required.
.

Nothing is too hard for God. He already has a plan for your life. Jeremiah 29:11
says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of
peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jesus told us in Mark 9:23,
“… If thou canst believe, all things [are] possible to him that believeth.” And in
Jeremiah 1:12, “…Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.”
Something ought to make you jump up and shout when you read these
scriptures. God loves us so much! He confirms his promises to us over and over
in the Word. What He said, He will do. Delay is not denial. Nothing is impossible
for God. No matter how many times you’ve messed up, or how many times you
failed. It’s never too late! Proof scripture: “Your love, Lord, reaches to the
heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.” – Psalm 36:5 (NIV) BETWEEN
AUTHORITY AND POWER:
T.B. JOSHUA AND HIS PROPHETIC MINISTRY

Prophecy is the voice of God ministered through His prophets.

It is not a colourful expression of spirituality but truth.
In fact, it is the undisguised voice of God which cannot be contested.
is pure, and therefore, sure.

Conceptually too, it is the voice of the future with a strong anchorage on the past and
the present;
it is the source of salvation of the human soul.
It is expected to be declared by the anointed man of God.
Surely, it is the anointed voice of God projected through anointed men of God.
It is of course, the exploration of the unknown for edification and human understanding.
And since it is pure and therefore, sure, it cannot be ministered by or go through the
polluted minds.
Prophecy could be delivered either physically or through dreams. But both have strong
spiritual undertones.
This implies that angels could be sent either through prophets or through the physical.
The latter was demonstrated by Micaiah who, when asked by the king of Israel in the
presence of the King of Judah, Jehoshaphat, “Shall we go to war in Ramoth Gilead or should
I not go,”
- (2 Chronicles 18:16) And he said, “I saw all Israel scattered on the
mountains, gas sheep that have no shepherd. And the LORD said,
‘These have no master; let each return to his home in peace.’ ”

He was ordered by the king of Israel, who became furious, to be put in prison until he
returned safely from the war

(2 Chronicles 18:25) Then Micaiah told him, “If you ever return from the war, then the
LORD has not spoken through me.” The prophecy of Micaiah came to pass as the King
of Israel and the King of Judah were defeated but the former died in the battle.

Micaiah did not prophesy smooth things but ‘that which he himself lived to see
accomplished.’ As a genuine prophet, God put His Word in his mouth and it became pure
and, therefore, sure. This also attested to the fact that the Word of God is more sure and
lasting than Heaven and earth.

Some of the peculiarities of a genuine prophet include:

1. Consistency of vision
2. Deep passion for Christ
3. Ability for Scriptural understanding and edification
4. Projection of truths through the voice of God
5. Fearlessness
6. Non-materialistic
7. Anointed representation of God among men
8. Effective use of anointed ‘tools’ for deliverance and healing
9. Un-mindfulness of human threats and danger to their lives
10. Persistent misrepresentation
11. Humility
12. Sensitivity
13. Humanitarianism
14. Interpretation of human situations at any point in time
15. Deeply faithful
16. Obedience to God’s commandments

Consistency Of Vision:
A genuine prophet is noted for the consistency of his visions. This implies that what he says
at any given point in time always comes to pass. In other words, what he prophesies is
spoken through him by God. The case of Micaiah is quite informative. The Scripture is
replete with other instances attesting to the prophetic consistency given by the prophets of
old.
The Bible says in that(Acts 9:15-16) God spoke through Ananiah, ‘Confirming that Paul
is a chosen instrument to take my message to the nations and before kings as well as
the King of Israel, and I will show him how much he must suffer for Me.’ These were
fulfilled. He was the greatest apostle and the Prophet of the LORD .

IN fact, Paul’s actions and activities were in conformity with the vision.

Paul talked extensively on many things he preached and was quite consistent. He gave deep
insight into issues such as God’s love, the Holy Spirit, forgiveness of sins, blessings of God,
victory and good news to both the Jews and the Gentiles. He also talked about salvation
broadly; and his messages were really consistent throughout. Also quite admirable were
his views on Christ as the Saviour. As his visions were deeply consistent, so also were his
teachings and sermons throughout his days.

Deep Passion For Christ:

All the biblical prophets had a deep passion for the things of God – Elisha, Elijah, Peter, Paul
etc. Paul said, “Christ Himself is our way of peace”

(Ephesians 2:14)  For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has
destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility,

I will always honour Christ, whether I live or die

(Philippians 1:20)  I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will
have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether
by life or by death.

Ability For Scriptural Understanding And Edification:

This was a great attribute of the prophets. They had on different occasions, particularly
during their teachings, displayed deep mastery of the Scripture. Isaiah, the great prophet
had, for instance, said, “

(Isaiah 48:17) The Lord your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, says, “I am the LORD
your God who punishes you for your own good and leads you along the paths that you
should follow.”
HE had also said, “The Lord, the Redeemer and Holy One of Israel, says to the one who
is despised, rejected by mankind and kept beneath the heels of earthly rulers: ‘Kings
shall stand by; princes shall bow low because the LORD has chosen you; He is the
faithful Lord; the Holy One of Israel chooses you.’

Projection Of Truths Through The Voice Of God:

This is another fundamental attribute of the genuine prophet of God. Elijah provided a very
good example.
A prophet from Thisba in Gilead, Elijah told King Ahab: “As surely as the LORD God of Israel
lives – the God whom I worship and serve – there won’t be any dew or rain for several
years until I say the word.”

While discussing with Elijah, the widow of Zarapheth, whose son died and was raised up by
him after massive prayers upstairs said, “Now, I know for sure that you are a prophet and
that whatever you say is from the LORD.”

Fearlessness:
A true prophet of God does not give a fig about the presence of or ‘the terror of the night’.
He is courageous, bold and fearless.
Elijah also provides a good example of such a prophet. He told Obadiah when Ahab wanted
to kill him,
(1 Kings 18:15 “I swear by the Lord God of the armies of Heaven, in whose presence I
stand, that I will present myself to Ahab today.”

He killed 850 Baal Prophets on Mount Camel and had the effrontery to tell Ahab to go and
enjoy a good meal. These are instances of display of bravery or put clearly, fearlessness.

When Paul and Silas were in prison in Greece, they were singing songs instead of
lamenting. An angel of the LORD appeared to them in the night, opened the gate of the
prison and they went out free.

Non-Materialism
None of the prophets of old was materialistic. They all displayed greater commitment to
Christ. They moved from one territory to the other, preaching and teaching the Gospel.
Paul, for example, was said to have been fed by the church. There was even a time God
commanded ravens to feed Elijah. Peter also had nothing. He even abandoned his fish net
and followed Christ. They were all daring; they dared kings and soldiers. They didn’t betray
God’s call. A lot of people were also following them. They won many souls for Christ. They
were very prayerful and kept teaching about solidarity among Christians. Paul, for example,
is the greatest example of solidarity. They all had faith in Christ.

Anointed Representatives Of God Among Men:

All the prophets were anointed by God. For instance, God told Paul, “My Grace is sufficient
for you.”

Effective Use Of Anointed Tools For Deliverance And Healings:

Most of them were noted for using anointed tools such as sticks, rods, water etc. For
example, Moses used sticks; Paul used a mantle. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit,
the guiding Spirit.

Un-mindfulness Of Human Threats And Danger To Their Lives:

This attribute is strongly tied to bravery or fearlessness, discussed earlier in this piece.
Persistent Misrepresentation:
This is also tied to hatred and persistent threats. Most of them were attacked and severely
reprimanded. Paul, Moses, Elijah etc. had on several occasions been molested and
physically manhandled.

Humility:
This is one of the greatest virtues of a true prophet. The Bible says in Matthew 18:3 –
“Jesus told them, ‘Unless you turn to God from your sins and become as little as
children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven.’ ”

In Matthew 18:10, Jesus also said, “Beware that you don’t look down upon a single one
of these little children. For I tell you that in Heaven, their angels have constant access
to my Father.”

Sensitivity:
Sensitivity keeps one away from the temptation of maintaining selfishness. It is a great
quality gifted in a true prophet of God. It is nourishes the soul of a prophet ‘endowed’ with
‘unlimited authority and power’

(Matthew 18:18) Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be  bound in heaven,
[a]

and whatever you loose on earth will be  loosed in heaven.

[b]

Humanitarianism:
True prophets are humane and noted for helping fellow humans. They cherish acts of
giving, particularly to the poor, the orphans, widows etc. The persistent engagement of the
prophets in acts of healing could also be viewed as a form of humanitarian activity.

Interpretation Of Human Situations At Any Point In Time:

A true prophet, often under anointing, does this without difficulty. For example, Elijah told
the Baal Prophets that, “If you don’t understand God, you are perished.

Deeply Faithful:
This is one of the mostly visible attributes of a true prophet.

Fulfilment Of God’s Commandments:

This is also linked with being ‘deeply faithful’. For the commandments to be obeyed,
faithfulness must be seen in a true prophet of God. The two attributes, therefore, go
together.

No doubt, genuine prophets are metaphorically seen as the soul of God. They are noted for
their unique power of Scriptural delivery and depth.
They are deep in knowing and seeing more than ordinary beings and most of their
expressions are symbolic; they speak in parables or put simply, are parabolic in
expressions. They therefore, imitate Jesus who is the master of the use of parables. They
are very few in the world today.
THE MODERN DAY PROPHETS AND THEIR ATTRIBUTES
Most of the modern day prophets are noted for prophesying smooth things which do not
really come from the domain of the Holy Spirit.
They are often ‘stated’ to satisfy the whims and caprices of the people, particularly the
leaders.
They (prophets) play the role of ‘yes-men’ and ‘yes-women’ because they would not want
to lose their relationship with them and the opportunities derived from such relationship.
They therefore cry, “Peace be unto you; victory be to you; all is well; unlimited favour” and
prophesying nothing.

Their case is like the 400 prophets who prophesied victory for the King of Israel, Ahab, but
was later killed in the battle. Most modern day prophets lack authority, power and
legitimacy. They are mostly prophets or pastors by profession but not by heart.
They are good at teaching and preaching the Gospel; yet, they hardly put into practice what
they preach and teach.

They are mostly ruled by things of the world – the mundane things – that do not last. Allan
More refers to them as the ‘burden of the faithfuls’.
They are expressively materialistic and do not care a hoot about the degenerating
conditions of the fellow men, particularly the mammoth crowd who troop to their
churches on a regular basis to seek false prophecies and boggy deliverances.
Worse still, they use clandestine means to further impoverish their members.
The known means include unjust demand for several church dues and fees.
That explains why they can easily order for new jets which they use to trot the globe in
what Dr Akinwale calls ‘fake evangelical missions’.

They lack virtually all the known attributes of a prophet and use evil powers to unleash
terror on those who are critical of and antagonistic to their ungodly disposition.

Most of them are blind people to Bible truths (2 Corinthians 4:4 The god of this age has
blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that
displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. ) and use wicked spirits to mislead
men and women.

In fact, they are almost always under the influence of the demons. Such fascinate them. So,
they become involved with voodooism, hypnotism, magic, witchcraft, astrology or other
things connected with evil spirits.
But all these are unwise for people who truly want to serve the true God. It is really
dangerous and has been causing serious troubles for most of them.

In Revelation 22:15,  Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually
immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.)
it is written, “God will judge and cast away from him all practitioners of these unholy
things.” Apostle Paul said, “We have a wrestling… against the wicked spirit forces in the
heavenly places. This implies that the true man of God must ‘take up the complete suit of
armour from God, that he may be able to resist the devil.’

(Ephesians 6:11-13 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against
the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the
rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the
spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so
that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you
have done everything, to stand.)

The Bible also says, “There should not be found in you… anyone who employs divination, a
practitioner of magic or a sorcerer, or one who binds other with a spell or anyone who
consults a medium or a professional foreteller or anyone who inquires of the dead.

For everybody doing these things is something detestable to God. (Deuteronomy 18:10-
12  Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire,  who
practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or
who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. 12 Anyone who does these things is
detestable to the LORD; because of these same detestable practices the LORD your God will
drive out those nations before you.).

Despite this warning, they (false prophets) keep swelling in number, making mockery of
Christendom, and often misrepresenting the genuine men of God, who according to
Prophet T.B. Joshua, strongly hold that, “the Word of Christ shall remain and be a full force,
power and virtue”.

JOSHUA: THE FOOTPRINTS OF A TRUE PROPHET

Aside from his simplicity, downright-forthrightness, openness, humility and giving-spirit,

clearly visible in the way he relates with the people from all walks of life, particularly the
members of The SCOAN which he founded, the Prophet possesses other Godly attributes in
double combinations.
His faith in Jesus Christ and His promises are so strong and expressed in the unique way he
adorned the church’s exterior view with His statue and those of His disciples. Christ, he
says, “is the rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him!” He believes strongly in His
counsels and understands matters fully.

More than his faith, the prophet has always demonstrated what his true feelings about
Christ are, moves to make changes to bring his life course into harmony with Christ’s will.
And today, he lives up to his dedication to Christ which proves that he is a man of his word
by sticking to the decisions and the dedication. Since he keeps close to God’s visible
organisations, he has continued to help fellow Christians, particularly The SCOAN members
by giving them loving encouragement and support to also serve God.
He does not only preach and teach the scripture but practicalises them. This differentiates
him from other prophets who relish on things of the flesh and lack the power to perform
wonders in the lives of men.

He also believes strongly in giving, or put succinctly, helping fellow human beings, most of
whom live in deplorable conditions. They include widows, widowers, physically challenged,
orphans, youths, etc. He also changes the misfortune of armed robbers, prostitutes and
cultists; gives scholarships to many students who cannot afford to pay their school fees.

His assistance to many communities in Nigeria has always been commended and
appreciated. He also extends the gesture to the needies in some countries around the
world. They include the elderly in Russia, the most poverty-stricken youths who live in
graveyards in Indonesia, the children in Pakistan, the elderly and physically challenged in
Ghana, among others. He spends millions of naira in procuring rice and other grains which
are distributed to the elderly, blind, deaf, dwarf, etc across the country. He is, today,
regarded as one of the greatest philanthropists in the world.

The accuracy of his prophecies marvels the world. Till date, no prophet has been able to
accurately prophesy events in the world the way he has been doing. In fact, more than 1000
of his prophecies have been accurately predicted – a glaring indication of his being called.

His power of deliverance and healing, through the Holy Spirit, is also worthy of note: most
of the people who were possessed by demons (including the so-called prophets,
evangelists, pastors, etc) have always been delivered in The SCOAN.

Deadly diseases such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, asthma, diabetes, etc are always healed by
the Prophet through the power of the Holy Spirit. He has, therefore, continued to give new
life to the sufferers of these diseases.

- The questions that reveal large are why are other prophets unable to do the
same?

- Why is it difficult for them to assist humanity, considering the fact that Christ
preaches love which is also seen in the act of giving?

- Why do they call names what they do not understand and destroy that which
they understand?

Whatever their responses, the fact still remains that T.B. Joshua is a real man of God.

BE CONSIOUS OF YOUR FEATURE

Anyone who gives to others is conscious of the future because he would find help if he ever falls on hard
times. Never come around people just because of what you can get but come around people because of
what you can give. It is more blessed to give than to receive

(Acts 20:35  In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help
the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give
than to receive.’ ”).

Rewards of faithfulness - A faithful man will abound with blessings (Proverbs 28:20). Grateful receiving
like gracious giving comes from the heart.

There must be mutual giving, understanding and love. This is the kind of relationship approved of God.
By giving, we mean making sacrifice, not giving only those things we do not really need, but what our life
depends on, what we cherish.

Each party should be ready to make some sacrifice in order to keep their relationship going. If you want
to keep a relationship, you would not visit your friends, your partners only at your spare time – the time
you do not have any serious matter at hand.

Many of us are here just because we don’t have any other serious commitment that calls for our
attention; just as many are not here today because of what they consider as a more serious
commitment. As a man of faith, coming to the church should be given first priority over all other
commitment. God is your source; He supplies your need.

The Christian who gives his best to God expects God’s best in all areas of life (2 Corinthians 9:8 And
God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you
need, you will abound in every good work. ).

Remember the encounter between Prophet Elijah and the widow. Elijah said to her, “You can still spare
out of it for me” because nothing is too small to share with others.

This means every man has something big or small to plant. The poor widow gave something she
cherished – something her life depended on. What we cherish most we are unwilling to give out. It
therefore makes us selfish and stingy. Selfishness and stinginess are a weakness.

The woman gave what she cherished – what her life depended on. She did not hold back in giving her
only foodstuff to feed the prophet. As she was giving to the prophet, little did she know that she was
planting a seed that would be multiplied back unto her a hundredfold.

She never expected to receive anything in return for the service of feeding the prophet. In giving, we
should not expect anything in return because God is the rewarder of those who give in truth
(Matthew 6:4)  so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is
done in secret, will reward you.

You who say you do not have enough to spare, remember the poor widow. You don’t receive because
you don’t give. When you give, you don’t receive because you give wrongly – you give in murmur

(James 4:2-3 You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you
want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. 3 When you
ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what
you get on your pleasures. ).

God loves a cheerful giver. When you share the little you have with others, remember God is able to give
more than you need so that you can always have enough for every good cause

(2 Corinthians 9:6-10 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap
sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you
should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under
compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you
abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will
abound in every good work. 9 As it is written:

“They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor;

    their righteousness endures forever.”
[a]

10
Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and
increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness).

The most important thing to remember in living the abundant life is to Be A Giver. A major factor in
living a life of abundance is Be A Cheerful Giver – first to God, then to your fellow man.

The primary reason in asking for God’s blessings should be to share them with others. When your needs
are met, you have an abundance to share with those around you.

Our Lord Jesus Christ taught us that giving is the beginning of blessing (Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be
given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be
poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” ).

When you give, people around you would start giving to you. Take note – you must give in truth.
Everything you have as a Christian came from God. Everything you will receive in your future will come
from God. When you give for God’s sake, you are planting seeds that would be multiplied back unto you.
Mark 10:29-30 Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or
sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel 30 will fail to receive a
hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and
fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life. This is teaches us that
he who gives for God’s sake would receive a hundredfold of whatever he gives. Whatever you give does
not only meet the need of God’s people but also produces an outpouring of gratitude to God

(2 Corinthians 9:12-13This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the
Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. 13 Because of
the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience
that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in
sharing with them and with everyone else. )

If I give, I am helping God’s people and at the same time showing appreciation to God for His provision.

Act 5 – Ananias and Saphira held back. I mean they did not give according to the will of God. When we
give an unworthy offering, we are not only holding back, we are lying to the Holy Spirit. In other words,
there is no blessing for those who give against their will.

You are a Faith Man

Ephesians 2:8 – For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it
is the gift of God

• This means we are all children of God by faith in Christ Jesus

• Let’s first examine the word, “faith”

• Climbing a mountain is a picture of the life of faith

• Throughout our lives, we are to continue moving upwards; faith grows stronger as we climb higher –
learning about God, growing stronger in our relationship with God

• You can be bold in your Christian life through knowing you are a faith man / woman

• Some people are fond of saying, “This is too much for me”

• What is too much for you when the persecution we suffer at the hands of our detractors causes us to
be known all over the world?

• The more the intimidation, the more the persecution, the more the name-calling, the more you are
strong in the Lord 1 Peter 2:9 - But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His
own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His
marvellous light

• Our language becomes like that of super men. We talk as people of another race; we talk as people of
another Kingdom

• Though we are here, we live in the world but we are not part of them

• That is why we talk as people of another race, another Kingdom

• Here is not our home; we are just passing through

• We have authority. God is supporting our position

• We are bold to speak our Father’s language as commonly as the unbeliever talks of his fear 2
Corinthians 5:17 – Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away;
behold, all things have become new

• This means all things have become new; old things are gone

• Sickness, disease, frustration and all those foolish things have passed away

• We have the nature of God – His glory, His power, His majesty. We have it now

• The name Jesus has power indeed but only among those who are committed to His glory

• If you are not committed to His glory and you are calling His name, you are wasting your time Rom
1:17 – For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, the just shall
live by faith

• What a blessing to know for sure that no matter how you feel, God says that faith is something you
already have

• You can be poor and yet be a friend of God

• You can be sick in body and yet be a favourite, a candidate of Heaven

• When the rich see a poor man, they will say that it’s as a result of his sin

• When those who enjoy good health see a sick one, they say that he has committed sin

• No matter how I feel, Jesus says that faith is something I already have; it is a gift of God

• So, you must not concentrate on your situation

• If you want to serve God in Spirit and truth, you must not concentrate on your poverty; you must not
concentrate on your sickness because a man may be poor and yet be a candidate of Heaven Galatians
3:26 – For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus
• This means God has dealt to every man the measure of faith – not just a measure of faith but the
measure of faith

• It matters not how small your faith is; the quantity of faith is not what is important to Jesus

• The Word should be the basis of our faith, because the Bible says Romans 10:17 – So then faith
comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God

• Our looking unto the promise of God is a good reason for looking to God for salvation, deliverance,
redemption, mercy – there is no time to stop looking until God withdraws His Word

• Oh! What a means of blessing is the looking of faith to Christ – (Matthew 11:28) Christ – there is light,
life, good health and understanding Come to me all ye that labour

• Let the weak say, “I am strong”. Let the poor say, “I am blessed”. Let the sick say, “I am healed”

• There is no reason for faith as good as God's Word

• It is never proper to base faith on our improvement after prayer, because that trouble you have  may
be to prepare you for the challenges ahead;  it may be to stop you awhile in order to preserve you for
redemption;  it may be to strengthen your desire for God  it may be to keep you for a new level in life
• Who knows what would have happened if your prayer for a better condition had been answered?

• It honours God to believe Him even while every sense contradicts Him

• When you pray that God should move a mountain, after much prayer if the mountain remains there or
you are not healed, you should be able to say,  “Whether God moves the mountain or not, He’s my
God  Whether He heals me or not, He’s my Healer  He’s my Deliverer; He’s my Redeemer”

• So it honours God to believe Him even when every sense contradicts Him, and God honours those who
honour Him

• If I believe that God is my Healer, I should have confidence in His ability to heal

• the healing

• When you are poor and anxiously in need of blessing, you will not mind the source that supplies the
blessing To learn how to hear God after prayer is a much greater blessing than

• When Jesus fasted 40 days and nights, satan came to Him. He said to satan, “Though I am hungry, I am
not anxious for food”

• The prayer of faith can be repeated 10,000 times

• Take for instance the case of Apostle Paul while praying about the thorn in his flesh

• The Lord said, “My grace is sufficient for you”. Assuming he did not hear from God, he might have
dropped the work of an apostle
• So, to learn how to hear God after prayer is a much greater blessing than what you are looking for 2

• That is what makes you a man of faith, and not the blessing you receive

• You need to know God’s opinion about your situation

• Though such situations are not from God, they are from the adversary, God often uses foolish things to
strengthen your desire for Him

• Faith grows stronger as we climb higher

• To appropriate faith, look at what the Bible says, Ephesians 2:8 – For it is by grace you have been
saved, through faith…

• And since the Word of God should be the basis of our faith, then our looking unto the promise, unto
glory, unto honour, power of God, is a good reason for looking unto God for mercy – then there I sno
need to stop looking until God withdraws His Word

1. Simply believe the Word of God – that God will do exactly as He promised

2. Be fully persuaded by the Word of God alone – not what you hear, what you see, what your situation
looks like

3. Hold fast to your confidence in God's Word when your faith is tested

• My confidence in God's Word is that Jesus is the Healer, whether He heals me or not. Jesus is the
Saviour, whether He saves me or not. Jesus is the Deliverer, whether He delivers me or not

GOD CANNOT USE A DISCOURAGED SERVANT

   PROPHET T.B. JOSHUA

Prophet T.B. Joshua, engaged congregants in his usual thought-provoking manner with a message

title – God Cannot Use A Discouraged Servant.

He emphasized on the fact that God cannot use a discouraged servant, adding that satan has a way of

making people overwhelmed, worried. Therefore, we must overcome such attitudes that lead to

discouragement.

the attitude of a true Christian to unpleasant situations that tend to question his or her faith.
the Christian race is made more glorious when we encounter challenges on the way, because such

challenges remind us of God: “The beauty of our journey is when you are going and something

is there to punch you.”

In other words, whatever setback a true Christian encounters in life is actually for his or her own good

as it could set him or her up for a new level in life.

trials to a Christian are like an examination which would eventually lead to his promotion both

spiritually and materially. As such, he declared that we would always value our promotion when we

pass through the examination without complaining: “When you are not sitting for an

examination, how will you value the promotion.” “If you don’t sweat while studying, how

will you value your certificate?”

Christians to see their situations as friends and not as enemies, adding that no situation is meant to

destroy us but to improve our relationship with God: “Our situation reminds us of God because it

is meant to improve us.”

       Evangelist Justin

Evangelist Justin had delivered a message titled LET YOUR HEART BE ENGAGED WITH GOD.

According to him the best way to put satan off our lives is by not allowing him to sow his seeds of

doubt in our hearts, because when we allow him, he would begin to make us doubt our place in God’s

creation.

“Mind management is the first priority for an overcomer.

The management of the heart and its thoughts is fundamental to our faith and holy living.

The heart must be purified by faith and entire for God.

Faith is the cause of victory, the means, the instrument and the spiritual armour by which

we overcome sin, satan and the world.”

ACTING ON THE WORD
The glorious atmosphere in the auditorium was given a powerful boost by the message of the man of

God, ACTING ON THE WORD.

Prophet T.B. Joshua urged Christians to spend quality time with the Word of God in order to allow it to

permeate their hearts so that they would be empowered to bring the Son of God on the scene in times

of urgent need:

“You must give your quality time, strength, love to the Word of God.”

the man of God pointed out that no matter how great our relationship with God would be, it

must be tested through trials and temptations so that there would be mutual trust:
“A relationship needs to be tested – it must go through good and hard times before it can be

called a relationship.”

According to the man of God, as a Christian, “Crisis or situation is not your enemy but your

friend. They are meant to promote you.”

“Situations are meant for our spiritual benefit, spiritual growth.”

the spirit of man must be free before it can attract the Holy Spirit, hence the need for Christians to be

happy even in the face of situations:

“Sadness is not permitted by the Holy Spirit because He wants a free spirit to operate.”

Christians of the attack of satan against those who genuinely stand with God: “If you say you are a

Christian, satan is coming to confirm whether you are a Christian in your heart.”

5 LOAVES AND 2 FISH,

Evangelist Catherine drew the attention of Christians to God’s overwhelming ability to bless them

beyond their imagination, if only they abide by His will. According to her,

“Jesus has all we need to succeed.” all we need to do as Christians is to believe and act

accordingly.

Peter’s encounter with Jesus as an appropriate analogy: “After following the instruction of Jesus,

Peter’s net began to break and his boat began to sink because what God had for him was so

huge and massive.”

“The more you look to him, the more faith you will have in Him and attract his attention.

CHRIST, THE LANDLORD

The SCOAN Sunday service of May 7, 2017 witnessed a lot of attractions. Clips of Prophet T.B.

Joshua’s second visit to Israel in one week were rebroadcast during the service. It was a spectacular

sight to see the man of God being received by the Chief Rabbi of Israel, David Lau in Jerusalem.

Prophet T.B. Joshua took time to explain some Biblical Scriptures to the Rabbi who expressed great

delight that the man of God was able to enlighten him.

In another clip, Prophet T.B. Joshua was received in grand style by Israel’s Minister of Tourism, Yariv

Levin. The minister showed enthusiasm in having the man of God in their midst, saying that he had

read a lot about the Prophet. According to him, the presence of Prophet T.B. Joshua in Israel will no

doubt bolster the tourism potentials and bilateral relations between both countries. In his reaction,

Prophet T.B. Joshua described Israel as his home, adding that he has been visiting the Holy Land for

many years now. Concluding, the minister promised to cooperate with the man of God on any area

where he needs the country’s help.

Stepping into the auditorium, Prophet T.B. Joshua told congregants that he has been praying for the

French Presidential candidate, Emmanuel Macron. According to the man of God, in spite of his

apolitical stance, he prays for Macron to come out victorious because of his laudable plans for refugees

and immigrants in an era when most countries have shut their doors against them. And true to his

prayers, Emmanuel Macron was announced as the winner of the French Presidential elections, hours

later.

The man of God went round the auditorium, ministering prophecy, healing and deliverance. Many

were healed of age-long debilities while others were delivered from all sorts of demonic oppression.

There were those who received life-changing and destiny-transforming prophecies. The testimonies

that followed were simply faith-building and to the glory of God.

CHRIST, THE LANDLORD,

Evangelist Annete urged Christians to make Jesus the Landlord of their life and not a tenant. She

decried the contradictory attitude of most Christians who proclaim Christ but behave in ways that

portray them as His enemies: “If you took some time to reflect on life, I believe you would find

that there are many things that seem to stand as contradictions. For example, many will say

one thing but then do another. That is, their words do not reflect their behaviour, character

and lifestyle. In Christianity, for instance, we have many who claim to be Christians yet

consult witch doctors and spiritualists when looking for a solution to their problems in life,

instead of Jesus – the Answer to all fundamental issues of life. That is a contradiction.”

the mind of a true Christian must be trained to be his/her servant and not master. it is only by so

doing that he/she would be able to allow God be the Landlord, in spite of the usual and inevitable

conflicts that the heart must have had to deal with: “The great thing that the Lord looks at and

requires is the heart. That is why your heart must be trained to be your servant and not

your master. In the heart of man, there is a constant conflict, a constant struggle, a
constant war against the flesh and the spirit, against, good and evil, against faith and

doubt, against humility and pride, against hope and despair, against peace and anger,

against patience and impatience, against self-control and greed, against love for Christ and

love for the world.”

Evangelist Annette left congregants with the following food for thought: “Christ that energised you

wants to dwell in you. Our failure to give Christ His proper place in our heart is actually

responsible for the crisis in our faith. But as you open your heart to God’s Word, His faith

and His Spirit, the Lord will make His home in your heart and become the Landlord, for

home is a heart where God dwells.”

The Best Is Always Yet To Come…

DON’T DESTROY YOUR RELATIONSHIPS BEYOND  REPAIR

The atmosphere smacked of the highest levels of joy and glory as congregants joined the choir in

singing and dancing great tunes of praise and worship. Nationals of different countries, waving their

flags, radiated unequalled confidence in the ability of God to turn their situations around. Their faith

was visible in the passionate way they conducted themselves throughout the duration of the service.

Prophet T.B. Joshua

Just back from the Holy Land, Prophet T.B. Joshua took congregants on a visual excursion into his

remarkable experiences in Israel. For about ten minutes, congregants watched clips of his sojourn

broadcast on Emmanuel TV and how he was well received by the Mayors of Jerusalem, Tiberias, the

Jordan Valley and other important dignitaries.

Speaking about how his mission of reaching out to a troubled world had gone ahead of him to Israel,

he said, “We serve God with our lives but you believe you serve God with the Bible; you seem to

forget that your life preaches better, not your mouth. Your life can preach a better sermon than your

mouth.”

The prophet explained how in his 30 years of ministry, he has decided to follow the path of love and

encouraged all listening to him to take from his example by not destroying any relationship beyond

repair. “Today, you destroy relationship beyond repair because of situation. The person you see as

very bad today, may be the savior tomorrow. I will never destroy a relationship beyond repair because

I know tomorrow.”
After his words, the man of God was moved by the Spirit to minister prayer and prophecy among the

people gathered.

People used their faith to put a demand on the anointing of God that heals, saves, delivers and

blesses.

Their demands were abundantly supplied as the man of God informed the congregation the anointing

was in the house and that anointing was the power of God.

The lame walked, sick were healed and those with diverse medical conditions received freedom from

the pain and discomfort that had wracked their bodies for years, at the name of Jesus Christ.

to command out any forces of the antichrist from the lives of those under the influence of the

anointing.

THE PRESENTATION OF EVIL

Aware that satan is never resting in his bid to destroy God’s heritage on earth, Prophet T.B. Joshua

was led by the Holy Spirit to locate the spiritually-oppressed and to declare them free in the mighty

name of Jesus. As he laid hands on the congregation, many were emancipated from demonic

oppression while those who had been suffering from all forms of career setbacks were redeemed,

restored and blessed abundantly.

It was indeed another bad day for the kingdom of darkness as all its plans were truncated by the

power of the Living God.

Warning Christians on the need to nurture their belief in a manner devoid of any form of worry,

Prophet T.B. Joshua observed that many claim to believe whereas their mind is restless. He therefore

submitted that it is not possible for one to say that he/she believes when the heart is not at rest. The

man of God noted that if your heart is not at rest, it shows you have not truly believe adding that

whenever you truly believe, your heart will be at rest.”

The man of God also noted that true believing talks on the believer the ability to express his/her faith,

adding that anyone who cannot express his/her faith is definitely not a believer:
“You say you a believer but don’t know how to express your faith. that shows you don’t

truly believe. I am a believer – but cannot talk to God, hear from God.

It’s only faith you can apply to hear from God and talk to Him. it means your belief is

questionable.”

he advised Christians to continue to see God as reliable and real, adding that by so doing, our faith

increases naturally: “For faith to increase, you must continue to see that God is reliable, real.

That is the basis of faith. He’s real – you rely on Him. He’s reliable – you follow Him. He is

wiser than you, smarter than you.”

THE PRESENTATION OF EVIL,

Evangelist Bose had told Christians that their status as children of God does not mean they are

above mistakes.

by virtue of their relationship with God, they are not like others who are still miles away from the

Father: “That you are a Christian does not mean you will not make mistakes; even if you are

a born-again Christian, that does not mean you will not make mistakes. Mistakes will come

but you are not like others… The difference between you and others is that you already

have a relationship with God Almighty…”

Christians the reason they will never lose their place as His children even when they sin against Him.

our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ is always there interceding on our behalf: “When you sin or

make mistake as a Christian, you have broken the relationship but you do not lose your

place as a son. Why? We have someone at the right hand of God, interceding, who remains

ever faithful. That is why your place as a son is not lost. Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ

wants you back on your feet because He is a faithful God.”

LET THE HOLY SPIRIT REMAIN

The presence of God was powerfully felt all through the service as the man of God continued to

minister healing and deliverance to congregants from different parts of the world.

Prophet T.B. Joshua engaged the minds of congregants with a thought-provoking message, LET THE

HOLY SPIRIT REMAIN,

“God does not give us what we know how to do,” he said, adding that He gives us what we don’t

know how to do so that He would teach us how to do it. whenever God wants to teach us how to do a

thing, he reforms and refines us just as gold passes through the furnace.

Speaking further, he pointed out that most Christians receive but cannot keep the Spirit of God

because they allow worries to take over their hearts.

He observed that when we hold a grudge or an offence against anyone, we are making our hearts

uninhabitable for the Holy Spirit: “When you hold a grudge against a brother, you have already

grieved the Holy Spirit.”

The man of God also lamented the sad reality of Christians who read the Bible even when their hearts

are holding offence. He also said that reading the Bible with a heart filled with grudges amounts to

reading ordinary history or literature, “You should not be surprised if the Bible is not real when

reading – when you hold an offence against your brother. When it is inspired by the Holy

Spirit, it becomes the Bible… When the heart refines the Word, it becomes an instrument for

the Spirit of God.”

Concluding, he reminded Christians that only God can give man true greatness, adding that “The race

is not always for the swiftest or fastest.” Noting that the world also gives greatness, the man of

God observed that only God-given greatness stands the test of time. To buttress his point, he added

that God would always take great men through all sorts of experiences in order to enable them

understand the vicissitudes of life so that when they are up there, they would not be carried away by

pride or selfishness: “God always makes us fit for His position; you should be ready for God’s

training.”

GOD WITH US,

Evangelist Elizabeth called on Christians to pay more attention to the Word of God rather than

allow the temporary challenges and troubles of life distract them from the path of glory which the

good Lord has in store for them, “Today, many Christians feel hopeless in the face of their

mountains as they keep magnifying their problem above their Heavenly Father. The

problem is that they never get in perfect harmony with God’s Word.

They confess failure instead of victory, sickness instead of good health, bondage instead of

freedom, poverty and lack instead of prosperity and blessings of God. If you are such a

Christian, you can never rise above your confession.”

Christians who know that God’s ability can work wonders through them, they would always overcome

their challenges by allowing their confessions to align with the Word of God, “As a Christian, if I

know God’s ability is working through me, then why confess sickness when the

Bible says in Isaiah 53:5 that by His stripes I am healed. It is a thrilling fact that as children

of God, when our word becomes one with God’s Word, that Word of God abiding in us gives

us an authority in Heaven. Why confess defeat when the Bible says in Romans. 8:37 that ‘I

am an overcomer through Christ Jesus. If I order my words aright, God manifests to me,

the benefits of His great salvation.”

THE VICTORY THROUGH CHRIST JESUS!

The man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua, on Sunday congratulated those that had responded to God’s

voice to support victims of the Typhoon Haiyan which ravaged the Philippines three weeks ago, killing

people, destroying property and leaving thousands homeless.

Addressing the congregation that consisted people from all over the world and nationals from the

Philippines, the man of God said helping people in their time of need, is a practical example of being a

Christian.

The Prophet, who had predicted the storm way back, had during the last two Sunday services called

on well wishers worldwide to exercise an act of love which is the greatest Law that Jesus Christ

taught, by reaching out to the survivors of the tragedy with relief support.

On its part; The Synagogue, Church of All Nations through its relief arm, led by example to show love

by ferrying assorted relief items to the people affected by the tragedy.

“Love does not choose who to help and does not consider one’s religious or social affiliation,” he said,

adding, “If you want to help your brother, you don’t need to ask: ‘are you a Christian or are you a

member of my church?’ No, that is not faith,” he said.

Prophet T.B. Joshua also glorified God over the overwhelming response the Anointing Water Revival

that took place in the UK last week had received.

The man of God, four weeks ago, sent a group of evangelists to minister to people in London, where

God manifested Himself through healings and deliverances in the name of Jesus Christ working

through the medium of the Anointing Water.

“They [people] came from all over and took over the hall,” he observed as a clip of the program was

shown to the congregation.

The man of God then ministered to the congregation by the power of the Holy Ghost, setting people

free from chains of the devil and declared them free, in the name of Jesus Christ.

As usual, the service was replete with testimonies, prophecies, healings and deliverances all of which

glorified the mighty power of God. He also announced two evangelical items that would soon be

introduced by the Ministry – a new Anointing Sticker and a Wrist Band to be known as Faith

Builder.

‘The Victory Through Christ Jesus’.

Wise Man Christopher gives The message dwelled on the authority given to those that are

commissioned by Christ to carry out His duties and how Christians are saved through His blood.

His proof text was from the book of  Mark 16:17-18. And these signs will accompany those
who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new
tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it
will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.

Christianity is the great confession because it uses God’s Word, and that by His name; demons come

out and the people get delivered, forgiven, sanctified, healed, blessed and saved.”

“Our confession is the thing that challenges the world. It is the thing that causes them to venture in

the faith life.

We confess Christ before the world; we confess the fullness of His grace;

we confess the integrity of the revelation.

God’s Word is integrity itself and the final authority settling all questions and problems,” he further

stated.

According to him, Christians should always confess their supremacy over satan, adding that: “he

knows that he cannot rule you any longer.”

He also preached about faith in God, stressing that “The goal and purpose of life sees beyond money,

pleasure, fame and popularity as they are just but a small slice of life.”
Making a reference to what the Bible says, the Wise Man said that the same satan or enemy that

overcomes them [Christians] with temptations, would also overcome them with his punishment,

terror, destruction and fear. “If satan keeps a person sinning, he has authority over the person, and

the prisons are overcrowded with people who are too weak to stand against satan,” he said.

He taught that worship must be pure and the requirements of purity must be kept by not only lifting

up clean hands to God in worship, but also a pure heart.

He stressed: “Whatever you bind here on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you loose here

on earth will also be loosed in heaven. The way to the throne or the kingdom of God is not a bed of

roses but of thorns, snakes and scorpions, pointing us to troubles and problems. Trouble comes not

because we have taken any wrong step but because we are in a complex and contradictory world,” he

said, citing

1 Corinthians 10:13. No temptation  has overtaken you except what is common to
[a]

mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted  beyond what you can
[b]

bear. But when you are tempted,  he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it
[c]

The energetic preacher who held his listeners spell-bound also stated that “Champions are

not crowned for desiring to be champions but they are crowned because they have fought

their enemies and defeated them”

noting that “Satan is our common enemy but Jesus is the One who defeated the devil at Calvary; and

it is His victory that gives us victory over the devil.”

He added that Jesus’ victory was much more than a natural one; it was a supernatural and spiritual

victory. He emphasized that, “Victory through Christ Jesus is the victory indeed, the rest is history.”

The Best Is Always Yet To Come…

The power of the Word

Wiseman Daniel had spoken on “The power of the Word” to the massive congregation.

After songs rendition which lasted some three hours, Prophet T.B. Joshua preached to the

congregation. He emphasized that significant as visions are in matter of the spirit, they must be fully

and correctly translated and understood by the visioners to avoid misrepresentations regardless of

where the visioners are found.

He said God talks in parables, and that he had spoken to him to produce a new set of Anointing

Stickers.

The prophet explained that the new sticker bears rich information at its back, which may always be

useful to people. Such information includes facts on Emmanuel TV, prayer lines and memorable quotes

which have potency of prayers.

If you hear from God, you must translate correctly. The translation is very important. God will speak

to you as a servant, and God is Spirit. If you are not fully in Spirit, you will not be able to translate in

Spirit”.

He spoke on other diverse issues, especially miracles, love and giving. He said “If you can give your

love and somebody wants to stand against you, he stands against God”, and that when a true

Christian gives to others, it should be for the sake of God, which is why “you should give what your

life depends on”. He added “you are blessed to bless others; you are saved to save others. As you

give those things you do not need, give those you cherish. You are set for God’s blessing”.

Equally, he insisted that every man must always see life in the context of “everything in me is a

reward or a test”, and that Jesus always uses our situation as a test because our sickness is not like

the sickness of others’; our trouble is not like others, and  that our sickness can qualify us for a

promotion.

To him, “Always see it as an opportunity of showing others that God brings good out of a bad

situation”, because  there is appointment in disappointments, wealth in poverty and health in

sickness. He added that good health comes out from sickness; wealth comes out from poverty; and

light from darkness… all of which the Christian must trust in. In his view, “A man can be sick in

body or poor and yet be a friend of God and a candidate of Heaven”, and that a miracle is

not the end but a means to an end.

THE POWER OF GOD

“If the power of God were to be present in a meeting, my next question would be, ‘What did the

power do?’”

Acts 10:38 – “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power,

who went about doing good, healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with

him.”
Prophet T.B. Joshua further explained the Scripture by saying, ”God’s power working through His

Word and His Spirit brings about the result. We have not done anything to bring about healing,

deliverance, redemption, salvation – God’s power working through His Word and Spirit brings them.”

It is only by watching the rebroadcast on Emmanuel TV during the week that one can justly explain

what the power of God did during the Sunday live service at The SCOAN.

After the message, Mr Segun Maku and his family came forward. In the previous week’s service he

had been called out by T.B. Joshua through a prophetic message which revealed that he was a

witchdoctor going about with his charms. He came forward and quickly fetched the occultic items that

he had hidden outside the church premises among flowers. As he displayed the various satanic tools,

T.B. Joshua prophesied further that the most potent of his charms had been left at home – including a

white pot and a demonized pigeon. Startled by the level of prophetic revelation, he confirmed the

prophecy to be true and confessed that he was too scared to carry the most dangerous charms that

he owned.

The Emmanuel TV Team, equipped with the prophet’s instruction and the miraculous Anointing Water

for salvation, healing and deliverance, followed Mr Maku home to bring the remaining charms,

including the demonized pigeon which he had been using to send on missions to kill and destroy at his

customers’ request. Mr Maku safely returned with his deadly charms and his wife and children. At the

service the following Sunday, Maku described his devious dealings with occultism and brought out his

most lethal charms. Maku appealed to T.B. Joshua that he wanted to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord

and personal Saviour. In response, Prophet T.B. Joshua delivered Mr Maku and the demonized pigeon

by the power of God and declared them free.

CAST YOUR BURDENS UPON THE LORD – TB Joshua

God’s overflowing mercies remain the hallmark of worship and thanksgiving that have continued to

characterise every Sunday Service at The SCOAN.

Every aspect of the service symbolised God.

From the smiles that emanated out of hopeful countenances to the unhindered dance steps of those

moved by the Spirit, the reality of God’s presence was written all over the gallery down to the
overflows where great testimonies of His wonder-working nature never ceased to blossom like trees

planted by the river side and watered by the Lord.

Speaking generally on the ideal attitude of Christians to situations around them, the man of God,

Prophet T.B. Joshua urged Christians to desist from the act of worrying as it lays them back and

disconnects them from the intervention of God.

Instead of worrying, he says they should, at every point in time, cast their burdens unto God: “When

one is thinking, worried and troubled, your spirit cannot be free to attract the Spirit of God.

We cannot be available for God when we are worried. Maybe something is troubling or worrying you;

you cannot be available for God’s Spirit. It is when we are free, our spirit is free.

This is why 1 Peter 5:7 says, ‘Cast your cares, your troubles to God because He cares for

you and loves you’.

When we are troubled, we cannot be sensitive to the Spirit of God.

You need a free spirit to pray.

You need a free spirit to hear from God.

You cannot hear from God when your spirit is troubled”.

The man of God further admonished Christians from allowing burdens stand between them and the

goodness of God.

He observed that as soon as we are ready to commune with God in whatever way, we must ensure

that all our burdens are forgotten:

“When you want to open your Bible and read, it is time to give all your trouble. When you take up

your Bible, immediately give all your cares and troubles to God.

Leave all that is worrying you and bothering you before opening the Bible. If not, you will

read but will not be able to obey what you read…It is not all up to God; certainly it is not all

up to you. It takes your genuine willingness and God’s ability to achieve something.

You can choose to overlook everything and open your Bible and read. Don’t look for the solution for

the trouble you have in the Bible. Read the Bible for the salvation of your soul”.
The man of God also reminded Christians about the indispensable place of meditation in the walk and

communion with God.

According to him, meditation brings about insight and helps to erase mental obstacles from the mind:

“Ask for a free spirit. Meditation reveals the burden in our spirit. Meditation exposes the burden in our

spirit. That is why we have the Faith Bracelet. “Oh Holy Spirit, take more of me; give me more of

You”.

RECOGNIZING OUR UNION IN CHRIST JESUS

Prophet T.B. Joshua give some words of exhortation using the book of Mark 11:25 -26 And when
you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father
in heaven may forgive you your sins.

He said ‘we have a role to play. It is not all up to God certainly not all up to us. If you stand praying,

forgive’.

He encouraged the congregation that if they honestly examine their hearts in the light of God’s word

and they would discover such spirits of unforgiveness towards others.

He said that as believers, in order for us to pray effectually, there must not be anything between us

and God and that the harboring of such a spirit towards others, breaks our communion with God.

He concluded by telling the congregation to say to one another ‘I need to forgive because I need to be

forgiven’.

THE WORD OF FAITH.

One of the wise men, Racine, came to give the main message for the morning. started by saying that

many are people of sense knowledge truth trying to get acquainted with God through their natural

minds.

For such people, when the goings are good, Jesus is the lord and when the goings are tough, they

begin to murmur and rebel because their lives are centred on how they feel and how they are treated.

They are tossed back and forth by every wind of trial.

His main text was taken from the book of Romans 10:6-8 ‘but the righteousness that is by faith

says: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?
'” (That is, to bring Christ down) “Or ‘Who will descend into the deep?'” (That is, to bring

Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth

and in your heart, that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming.”

He said that a believer does not have strength as long as he operates in the natural because our

natural strength is as perfect weakness.

Those who operate in the natural are those who rely on the sensory senses. To live by sight is to give

all our attention to the physical things which are temporal. But the things of the spirit are indistinct.

He explained that in Christ Jesus, we have perfect evidence of faith.

For faith is the unshakeable confidence in the reality of the yet unseen world. As Christians, we are to

live by faith and not by sight since we are called to God’s kind of lifestyle, and only then can we

recognize our union with Jesus Christ.

It is a lifestyle of positive thinking, positive talking and positive acting. These are our roots in God.

Act 3:6, “Then Peter said, what a means of blessing is the look of faith to Jesus. Peter

looked at the paralytic and took his position in the believer’s authority and sent forth the

word of faith ‘Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus

Christ of Nazareth, walk.’ Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the

man’s feet and ankles became strong’’.

He said that Divine faith when expressed in prayer, is a force and has God behind if for its

accomplishment.

When you believe absolutely, you believe it is done before the prayer because very much is promised

to our believing. He challenged the congregation saying ‘Show me your doubt and I will show you that

faith exists’.

The name of Jesus Christ has power indeed but only among those who are committed to the glory of

God. It is absolutely necessary to believe in the name of Jesus Christ for very much is promised to our

believing. Christians are commanded to walk by the Spirit.

Walking in the spirit is so exciting. There you hear Jesus most clearly. When the Holy Spirit begins to

speak to us, changes are beginning.

He said ‘Ask Abraham and he will tell you that it honors God to believe him even when every sense

contradicts him’. HEB 6:15 “And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was

promised”. Our looking unto the promises of God is a good reason for looking unto God for

mercy and favor and there is no reason to stop looking until God withdraws his word.

We that walk with the Lord, walk by faith. Faith sees the invisible, believes the impossible, and

receives the incredible.

Abraham simply believed the word of God, that God will do exactly what he promised. Whatever we

receive from God will come as a result of our actively reaching out and claiming God’s promises.

For God’s Word must be our rule and His grace our principle. And this is God’s invitation to prayer

and his assurance that our prayers would be answered.

How to get our prayer answered?

To get our prayers answered, we must depend upon the merits and mediations of our Lord Jesus

Christ. Racine then quoted the book of 1 Cor 2:16, saying that in prayer, we do not pull God

to our mind but bring ourselves to his and how do we bring ourselves to his mind?

When we follow the way of the cross, we bring ourselves to his mind because in the realm of prayer

service the key is not to suppress the flesh but to surrender to the spirit. Conclusively, he emphasized

that faith is simply God’s Word prevailing over the senses. ‘

The Bible cannot work by itself. You make it work and God makes it good. Make it work. Faith moves

our words to work’.

He said that when we order our word aright; God manifests to us the benefit of his mighty salvation.

Using the Word of God you have read in your prayer helps ensure that your prayer lines up with God’s

will and His intention for your life.

God’s Word refreshes our mind while God’s spirit renews our strength. When your mind is refreshed,

your objective and motives will be determined at once.

You will want what God wants and you will want it for the reason God wanted it
IN TRIALS, JESUS IS THE ANSWER

John 16:33 (“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you

will have many trials and sorrows but take heart because I have overcome the world.”),

the man of God reminded Christians of the inevitability of trials in the Heavenly race, stressing the

fact and cardinal truth that only in Jesus would the world find peace, redemption and triumph. But

before these are attained, there must always be a season of trials and sorrows even as our Lord was

put through from Golgotha to Calvary.

“Your trials could be limitation in progress, setback, isolation or any foolish thing. Jesus is saying in

this Scripture, ‘Even though the world is a danger place, in Me, you will be saved – I will keep you

safe. Even though the world is a danger zone, a danger place, in me, I will keep you safe’. It means

Jesus is closer to you than you, yourself”.

For those who are without Jesus and who have become more engrossed in their problems and

challenges, the man of God said they are missing the privilege of enjoying the benefits which being

under the cover of Jesus offers. As we cast our minds upon Jesus, He has promised to carry our

burdens.

“If you are without Jesus, you will always be conscious of problems, fear instead of being conscious of

Jesus. People are conscious of fear and problems but not of Jesus today. People are no longer

conscious of God. If the way you are conscious of your situation was the way you were conscious of

God, your life would not be like this.”

Commenting on the recent xenophobic attacks in South Africa, Prophet T.B. Joshua observed that

every country of the world has its peculiar challenges. This assertion brings us to the fact that even

countries pass through trials in order to mature spiritually. It also shows that all human hassles are

vanity because those who have fled their countries to South Africa have now realized that the real

greener pasture lies in running unto God.

The man of God therefore urged all Africans to come together as one to fight the common enemy,

satan. “The wound of one should be the wound of all. Whatever happens in any African country, we

should be concerned and come together. We should see it as ours. Every continent is like a human

being. One country may be leg, mouth, head etc. If anything happens to a part of the body, the whole

body will feel it. That is the way it should be. Today, if anything happens, we evacuate our people.

Why can’t we come together to redeem our continent? Africa, unite”.

Concluding, the man of God urged the congregation to use their faith to put a demand on the

anointing as he took authority in Jesus’ name to lead a Mass Prayer against satan and all his evil

antics manifested through generational curses and other means of disrupting the good works of God.

IN HIS NAME YOU CAN

The prefatory adoration melody over,Prophet T.B. Joshua mounted the altar to minister to the

congregation. He assured the assembly that God was with them and that they should be in the

attitude of prayer as the message for the service was being delivered, reminding them that the

message would deliver them. Soon after, Wise Man Daniel took over the baton to deliver the message.

In the same fervour as the prophet, Wise Man Daniel evoked ebullience in the Church, in the presence

of the Lord.

In the words of the Wise Man, the Bible makes us understand that the name, Jesus Christ has

authority and power among those committed to His glory.

Christ’s duty is to raise us from death and restore the wholeness and fellowship between God and

man. Power comes through the Holy Spirit to those who accept Jesus.

In His name you can! A Christian, according to the Wise Man, should depend entirely on the power of

Christ, if he must overcome satan.

Mark 16:15-20,  He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to
all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does
not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who
believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new
tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly
poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and
they will get well.”

19
After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat
at the right hand of God. 20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere,
and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that
accompanied it.
the Wise Man told the Church that the name, Jesus can drive out demons and poison will not have the

power to harm believers. Those who depend solely on God’s power show the evidence of this power in

them. They are also the people who can move mountains in His name.

Mark 16:17, And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will
drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;

he said the text advises us to kick the devil out of our lives and the lives of others.

Ephesians 1:21 says Christ has dominion over all powers and authorities on earth and in

Heaven. In His name you can make wonderful things happen!

Matthew 9:18-32, where a man who could not talk was brought to Jesus and He cast out

the demon (rather than heal the man) and the man spoke.

The prophet remarked that there is the spirit of bondage which causes affliction.

The sin of the soul is the cause of sickness, poverty and other problems and when you are delivered,

you are free and blessed and this is why, he said, everybody needs deliverance.

If one is healed without the spirit being delivered, the healing is only momentary as the spirit will

cause a relapse of the ailment.

To be blessed effectually, you need deliverance because there is a spirit of bondage from which you

need deliverance. Deliverance is taking one from the dark kingdom to light.

It is making one a channel of light where there is darkness. When your sins are forgiven, you are

delivered.

OVERCOME YOUR SITUATION

When you look at your immediate surroundings, you will see satan using man’s
unrighteousness as an instrument for his purpose to kill, steal and destroy.

As a believer, you must take time to think properly to react diligently to your daily
challenges.
Unfortunately, many people today react intellectually or emotionally to their situation and
they are overwhelmed.

If you lose control, you will lose all sense of reasoning and when you lose your sense of
judgment, you will fight the wrong battle.

Believers may encounter challenges but their situations are not like others. For others,
their situation is to impair them, to destroy them, but as a Christian, yours is to improve
you, to draw you closer to God.

As true Christians, we must learn to see the value in our trials on any challenge that
come our way.

Consider what happened to Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:7, when he prayed for the thorn to
be removed, you will realise that there are some situations that no amount of fasting
and prayers can remove.

The Bible refers to those situations as unchangeable events, they can be in the form of
sickness, hardship, or failure.

Job’s affliction was an unchangeable event, but he saw his situation as an opportunity
to honour God before men.

As a believer, whatever situation you are in, there is no real evil in it, because God is
aware.

When God Almighty is executing His plan in our lives, He allows events that continue to
unfold until His purpose is revealed in our lives.

Remember to focus on Jesus Christ in the midst of your trials. If God allows it as a test
of faith, don’t think it strange and doubt your Guard.

Those who have a clear purpose in life, no matter what comes, always find room in their
heart to bless God even when He takes what their life depends on.

If you are really committed to God, He will take up satan’s challenges against you.

God is powerful and faithful to His faithful ones. No matter the situation, God is aware.
Leave it for God, He will not leave you without a solution today, in Jesus’ name! Amen.

RUN FOR THE CROWN!
A weapon often times used on the children of God from the enemy of our souls is
making us look back at our past and by that he aims to make us redetermine our future
according to our past.

Though time and time again God has shown us that He does not look at our past to
determine our future, this tactic of the enemy is used almost daily and, unfortunately, it’s
quite effective among Christians.

Let us remember Apostle Paul when he was Saul; a persecutor of the body of Christ.
We never saw Apostle Paul looking back to where he was coming from, but instead,
once he was called to follow Jesus, he started running the good race of faith seeking for
the reward, eager to finish the race toward salvation.

In fact, aiming to prevent every believer from falling into satan’s trap of looking at the
past, he also mentions the secret of his success in

𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟑:𝟏𝟑,𝟒 “[…] 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬
𝐚𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝, 𝐈 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞
𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬”.

This is a priceless lesson given by a man who shook the nations with the fire of the Holy
Ghost and the living Word of God! It is high time you stop looking at where you are
coming from and start looking at where you are going.

We have seen our past and we know what it looks like but the time has come for us to
now see our future.

It is time to dream the dream and look ahead to all that God has in store for us. Don’t
look back! The future is brighter than you have ever expected!

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: “Lord Jesus Christ, I have made the heartfelt decision to not look back
anymore and begin to dream about the bright future You have planned for me.

- Help me and strengthen me that my words and confession may be according to

all You have promised to me.
- Help me not look back but keep pressing towards the crown you have
personalised for me – in Your Holy name I pray, amen!”
IS FAITH ENOUGH?
We live at a time where our faith and our trust in Jesus Christ are tested… Every day,
as children of God, our faith is called to show perseverance before people, situations,
and events bigger, even stronger than us.

Still, many times we find ourselves in a battle that has already been won, we become
spectators in a play we already know the outcome of.

Because we are not assured of the power of Jesus Christ in our lives, we start having
doubts and asking ourselves if faith is all we need in our lives, if faith is sufficient
enough to solve our problems.

In 𝐇𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝟏𝟏:𝟏 the Word of God says: “𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞
𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐞”.

Nobody guaranteed that challenges will not come your way in your life!

Yet, even when everything around you seem like it’s collapsing, never doubt that Jesus
Christ is able to provide the solution that you seek, never doubt your faith – because
faith is all you need to be victorious!

Stand firmly in front of the giant you have to face, show boldness in the situation ahead,
fight your enemy with courage, because when you stay in faith in Christ Jesus, that is
when you can hear God’s voice most clearly!

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: “Lord Jesus Christ, grant me the faith that moves mountains,

grant me the faith the woman who was bleeding for twelve years had, when she met
you, the faith the centurion had, and the boldness Peter had – in the name of Jesus
Christ I pray, amen!”

MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE

In Genesis 1, when God created the earth, it was without form and void.

God spoke forth His Word and said, “Let there be light,” and indeed there was light.
Whenever God spoke forth His Word and said, “Let there be,” it came into being and so
God gave being to heal, to bless, to save. When God gives being to the Word, that
Word becomes alive. The evidence was clear – the earth became fruitful and multiplied.
The Word of God – a Spirit – spoke, created material things.

This means that God’s Word is Spirit and life.

It was the very life of God in those Words that brought about creation, including
mankind.

When God created man, He gave him the right to life. Within that right was discretion.

In other words, Jesus Christ gave man a mind and the ability to choose between right
and wrong. In life, man is given the freedom to choose from the many alternatives that
surround him.

What choice have you made concerning Jesus Christ?

Life’s biggest decision is what you do with Jesus Christ.

In Luke 10:38-42, As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village
where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called
Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was
distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked,
“Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her
to help me!”

41
“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many
things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one.  Mary has chosen what is
[a]

better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

Mary made the right choice. Today, our minds are so taken by worldly considerations,
that is, the lures and cares of this world, that we don’t have time for God.

We are so busy with things on the outside that we fail to spend quality time with God.
Mary made the right choice, whereas Martha missed the point.

You will never find the time for God’s Word; you must make the time, create the time,
work out the time.

Mary made the right choice – she took time to sit at Jesus’ feet, I mean she attended to
His Word and a lifetime of ignorance gave way to spiritual enlightenment.
Children of God, don’t allow your bad experiences to wipe you out. Don’t allow your
situation to mislead you.

Remember that it is the very life in the Word that has the ability to change your situation,
I mean ability to save, deliver, heal and bless you.

Be a Mary of our day and make the right choice. Look unto the Word. By looking unto
the Word and acting on it, you bring Jesus onto the scene.

Take time to sit at Jesus’ feet; I mean take the time to splash around in the Word and
absorb it to discover what God has to say to you each day.

When you have discovered what God has made you for and how He cherishes your
company, you will discover the true fountain of good living welling up to eternal life.

DECLARE WAR ON SATAN!

War is a state of armed conflict between societies. In general, it is characterised by
extreme aggression and destruction, using tactical military forces.

As there is physical warfare, so there is spiritual warfare also, which takes place in our
hearts, without ever ceasing.

The Word of God has taught us that we live in a world where our enemy will never allow
God’s purpose in our life to be fulfilled, without a fight.

Even more so, the day you will decide to fully devote yourself to Jesus Christ, you will
declare war on satan! Satan strives in every way possible to make the children of God
turn away from God, and he rejoices when they feel like surrendering in the midst of
war.

Learn today, though, that God’s plan for your life cannot be fulfilled if you do not fight
and do not win your battles, because warfare is essential for your victory!

𝟐 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟏𝟎:𝟑-𝟓. “𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐰𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝, 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐫 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞

Don’t give up! Focus on God God because if you give your attention to God, you are
what God says you are, you can do what God says you can do, you have what God
says you have.

𝐀𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞, 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐮𝐩 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐲

“Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You with a humble heart, and I ask of You to equip me
with the weapons of the Holy Spirit!

Strengthen me and increase me today in Υour faith, Υour love, Υour patience, so I can
overcome every battle and every temptation – in Your Holy name I pray, amen!”

TOMORROW IS A MYSTERY!
Thanks to the unending mercy of our Father God, who does not look at our past to
determine our future, we can today envision our future with faith that because of His
mercy, we are no longer condemned!

Unfortunately, although we all taste the fruits of God’s favour and patience daily, we do
not hesitate to reject people because of their weakness.

In 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟔:𝟏, the Word of God points out the following: “ 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐧, 𝐢𝐟 𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐬
𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐚 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟
𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐝”.

God himself prompts us not to reject anyone because of their weakness, but with
kindness and patience to bear with them so that they may be corrected!

Tomorrow is a mystery! Thus, the one you judge, reject and consider unworthy to
contribute to their correction and improvement today, may one day become your helper!

Apostle Paul, for example, who once persecuted the church of Christ, became the man
who helped spread the Gospel and still teaches us how to live a holy and pleasing to
God life through his God-inspired words!

If you reject someone on account of their weakness, you also reject their strength!
Therefore, if you know someone’s weakness, don’t reject them.
Help them because the person you help today, may be the one who helps you
tomorrow!

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: “Lord, from today I will stop rejecting people because of their weakness,
because You didn’t reject me either!

On the contrary, you have not stopped manifesting your strength in my weakness.

As I do this, I know that this decision of mine will increase my relationship with You – in
the name of Jesus Christ, amen!”

KEEP THE RIGHTFUL FOCUS

There is more to life than meets the ordinary eye. There are two kinds of truth: sense-
knowledge truth and divine-revelation truth.

They are usually opposed to each other. We have the eyes of the body and the eyes of
faith. The eyes of the body cannot see beyond facts; it takes the eyes of faith to have a
special insight into the revealed truth.

Those with a scientific frame of mind will not believe unless they see and touch. We live
by faith when we recognise our union with Jesus Christ in the Spirit.

Those who are controlled by divine-revelation truth are the people that examine all
things in the light of God’s Word. On the other hand, we live by sight when we give all
our attention to the physical, which is temporary.

When you are controlled by sense-knowledge truth, you will be controlled by what you
see, what you hear, what others tell you or what your situation looks like.

When the eyes of our body focus on what our situation has to say, we begin to see
danger and impossibilities. Many have changed the course of the history of their lives
through the inability to see beyond their immediate circumstances.

If Job were to look at his afflictions, he would have yielded to the advice of his close
relations to curse God.
If Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego were to look at the burning furnace, they would
have changed their confession for fear of being roasted (Daniel 3:13-23).

Your situation does not surprise God because He has the solution. God gave His only
begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the debt of your situation, to bring you back into His
full fellowship.

Jesus Christ has paid the price of total healing, redemption and victory. Therefore, keep
your focus! Identify your source!

When you are faced with difficult situations, do not fret; have a look of faith to the
Cross, where the victory has been provided freely.

As Christians, let us maintain the rightful focus. If you believe God for possibilities out of
impossibilities, say this prayer:

“Lord Jesus, give me the grace to continue to dwell in You and follow You both in good
times and hard times!

0Give me the grace to keep the rightful focus when faced with difficult situations,
because in every situation You are still saying something!”

LOVR: THE GREATEST VIRTUE!

“And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love”,
are the precious words that flow from the Word of God in 𝟏 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟏:𝟏𝟑:𝟏𝟑.

Love is solving other people’s problems with joy, because quite simply, God is love and
love is God! You have been called to love your neighbour as yourself, to love and
forgive those who have hurt you and to give to those in need without a second thought.

In the Gospel of 𝐋𝐮𝐤𝐞 𝟐𝟑:𝟑𝟒-𝟑𝟖, our Lord, though He was flogged, tortured, humiliated
and dehumanised before He was brutally murdered, he endured humiliation and
degradation because of His love for God’s work and the souls that would be saved
through His sacrifice, as well as His belief in His resurrection.

The Word of God states: “𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝, ‘𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫, 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦, 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰
𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠.’ 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐮𝐩 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐬. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞

𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐦𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐢𝐟 𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐡, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐧 𝐎𝐧𝐞.’ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨

𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝: 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐞𝐰𝐬”.

If you claim to love God, you must show it by your actions!

Every day, you have the opportunity to be a solution to someone’s problem! Learn to
sow in the field of giving, and you will see your life change and grow, because Jesus
Christ does not know us by our name but by our love! Without a doubt, what makes us
human is not our ability to think, but our ability to love!

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: “Lord, from today I will come close to You, reading Your Word, that You
may take more of my hardness of heart and give me more of Your love – in the name of
Jesus Christ, amen!”

SELFLESS LOVE
We live in a society where the concept of selfless love and giving has been eliminated!
Love, mutual aid and compassion for our fellow man, are acts we rarely if ever find on
our path. But, 2000 years ago, He who represented the concept of love, giving, and
selflessness walked the earth as He died and rose again for our sake. His name: Jesus
Christ!

In the Gospel of 𝐋𝐮𝐤𝐞 𝟐𝟑: 𝟑𝟑-𝟑𝟒, Jesus Christ showed all of us what love without limits
means: “𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐤𝐮𝐥𝐥, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞,
𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬—𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐭. 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝,
‘𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫, 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦, 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠.’ 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲
𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐮𝐩 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐬”.

Today, 2000 years later, our love for our neighbour has become an ‘unnecessary’ habit,
and our giving to someone outside our family circle has become a rare occurrence.
After all,

which God do we worship?

Do we worship a God of love?

And if God is love, then why do we, as His children, have such a hard time showing love
to those around us?
Jesus Christ paid the price for our sake, showing everyone what it means to love
without limits!

Show your love to your neighbour, clothe the naked, feed the hungry, care for the
wounded, because Jesus Christ does not know you by your name but by your love!

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: “Lord Jesus Christ, I ask, as I read this word, that today may be the day
that I learn to love without limits and give without expecting anything in return – in Your
name we pray, Amen!”

GOD CANNOT USE A

DISCOURAGED SERVANT
There are times in our lives when everything seems meaningless, I mean, when the
results we get from all our hard work and hard labour are not corresponding with the
efforts we have put into them — a situation whereby we have done all the right things,
yet there is no answer.

In situations like this, it is easy to get discouraged and give up. But as children of God
and members of the household of faith, we must continue to press on because God
cannot use a discouraged servant.

When we look at the story of Joseph in Genesis 37:1-36, the Bible says that
Joseph was to be a source of freedom to his people but he had to go through
imprisonment. He was meant to be a source of provision to his people but he had
to go through lack, want and hunger.

People of God, if Joseph had been discouraged, he wouldn’t have had the courage to
continue to press on in the face of overwhelming negative evidence.

Prophet T.B. Joshua says, “When God gives you a vision and it is opposed by men, do
not reduce your vision; stay in faith in Christ Jesus.”

What situation are you going through now?

Is it poverty, hardship, setback, sickness or disappointment?

If it is allowed by God as a trial, we must not think it strange and doubt our Guard.
He who desires to be a source of freedom must know what it is to be imprisoned, so
don’t be discouraged.

He who desires to be a source of provision must know what it takes to face lack and
want.

Remember, our situation is an opportunity to honour God before men. The world is
waiting to see how you handle your situation.

SAY THIS PRAYER: “O Holy Spirit, help me to continue to press on even in the face of
life’s uncertainty and discouragement.”

BE WHO GOD WANTS YOU TO BE

As children of God, developing an independent mind that is capable of reasoning, is a
necessary condition for discovering that beyond our situation lies God’s promise for our
lives.

The situation of a child of God who knows very well that God has a plan for them,
however bad it may seem, is a tonic, a boost to bring them one step closer to their
divine destiny!

In other words, if you are a man of vision, no matter what constitutes the obstacles on
your way, you can never be stopped. Instead of pressure and tension to reduce your
vision, it will even enlarge your strategies!

In the Book of Genesis 37:36, the Word of God says, “Meanwhile, the Midianites
sold Joseph in Egypt to Potiphar, one of Pharaoh’s officials, the captain of the
guard”. If Joseph did not know the purpose of his life, he would be overwhelmed
by rejection and depression due to the difficulties he faced.

For his entire life his brothers mocked him, when they got the chance they threw him
into a pit, in order to kill him and then sold him as a slave. In the process, they sent him
unjustly to prison.

All this had to precede before God promoted him to king of all Egypt!

Therefore, when you feel swamped by the challenges you are going through, remember
that nothing happens for nothing and nothing happens by chance, because all things
work together for good to those who love God (Romans 8:28)!
𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: “Heavenly Father, help me to not forget my vision, my divine destiny. Make
it the driving force that will make me overcome hardship, just like the heroes of faith did,
according to Your Holy Word – in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

THE KEY TO
UNDERSTANDING BLESSINGS!

True gratitude requires us to look beyond our present circumstances – whether they are
blessings or difficulties – and look to God, the true source of our blessings. It is easy to
thank God when we can physically see and touch His blessings, such as food, money,
clothes, good health, family… but what happens when feeling grateful gets difficult?

The heroes of faith, whom we find in God’s Word, suffered great hardship and loss, yet
they chose to celebrate and thank God, believing they were blessed.

So how did they do this?

They simply knew what God’s Word teaches us:

“Appreciate God for what He has done in your life, and He will do it again and again and
again”. Remember David, a little shepherd who willingly offered to come against a brave
warrior, a giant!

David, full of boldness and courage, stood before the king and said: “𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐬
𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐫; 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟
𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦, 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐨𝐝” , according to 𝟏 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐞𝐥
𝟏𝟕:𝟑𝟔.

Choose today to thank God under any circumstance, as you recall God’s goodness in
your life, regardless of how you feel. Never forget that confession born of faith will bring
you possession!

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: “Lord Jesus Christ, thank You for Your love in my life, Your goodness, and
for every blessing You have given me.
Take more of my unbelief and give me more of Your faith, so that I will always
appreciate you and never lack your unending blessings in my life – in Your Holy Name I
pray, amen!”

We Are Not Alone
When you look around to see what is going on in the world today, you will agree with
me that man’s most deceptive enemy is fear.

Fear changes our focus, it weakens our desire and determination.

Fear is a more deceptive enemy than satan himself.

As Christians, we are commanded by God to fear not, for those who are for us to
protect us, guide us, fight for us, and defend us are more than those who are against
us, to destroy us. Who are they?

Heaven says that they are angels who are unspeakably more numerous and infinitely
more powerful.

The Book of John 4:4 says, “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them
because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”

This means that men and women of faith are led by an indwelling Spirit of grace, which
is greater than he who dwells in the world.

As the Word gets into our blood and grows to gain supremacy over us, we do not need
to fear or panic anymore because we are not alone.

Since God is with us, we and Him are lifting the load together – fighting the battle
together.

Who can battle with the Lord?

If the Lord be for us, whom shall we fear?

We are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus who loves us.
Naturally, our enemies may stand a better chance of victory considering their numbers,
credentials, age, experience in warfare, and the instruments at their disposal but
supernaturally, we are superior because we are on the Lord’s side, let’s trust in God’s
authority and not man’s majority.

Fear not for the Holy Spirit who is constantly walking by your side will defeat fear for you
today.

God fought for David against Goliath and He will fight for you today.

He fought for Moses and the Israelites against their enemies and He will fight for you
today. Every mountain for your sake shall be leveled.

The pillars and foundation of your problem will be crumbled and those things that are
against you will be for you today by the power of God.

THE REAL REVOLUTION

People today understand the meaning of revolution as an action against the regime,
laws or rules of a society.

But there is someone who showed us something completely different: Jesus Christ is
the greatest revolutionary that history has ever known!

The revolution He made was never against the law, rules or authority, but against evil,
misery and unclean spirits!

Jesus was a channel of light in a world dominated by darkness, a channel of love in a

world dominated by hatred, a channel of freedom in a world in bondage, the bondage of
sin.

In other words, Jesus was not rebelling against people, but against the enemy of souls,
the devil!

So, those of us who believe in Him are called today to learn the meaning of true
revolution.

In fact, the Word of God declares in 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟏𝟑:𝟏 “𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞
𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐬
𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐆𝐨𝐝”. So, if we
want to bring real revolution, instead of fighting the laws or authority, let’s make a
difference in our world through our actions and lifestyle, because a good Christian is a
good citizen!

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: “Lord Jesus Christ, give me the grace to follow Your example as I do good
in the world I live in, showing everyone what true revolution really is – in Your Holy
Name I pray, amen!”

WARFARE IS NECESSARY FOR

VICTORY – T.B. JOSHUA

The best man in the world holds his integrity (position, honour) no longer than God
upholds him in it.

The best man in the world can only maintain his position and honour as long as God
keeps him in it for by His grace, we are what we are.

The best man in the world can only maintain his position and honour by His grace. If we
were to be left to ourselves, we would fall and our enemies would triumph over us.

I mean, if God withdraws His support from us, we would fall and our enemies would
laugh at us. In the midst of trials and evil wishes of the enemy, King David prayed to
God not to allow his enemy to triumph over him (Psalm 41:11).

God knows that we are naturally weak and fearful when we are faced with danger/ trials/
persecution or an adversary who seems stronger than we are.

We, on our part, should learn to trust in God’s help so that those whose primary interest
is to make us feel ashamed, will themselves be ashamed. Such was the case of King
David as he wrote Psalm 40.

At certain periods in life, we find ourselves being unduly hated and persecuted because
of the grace of God in our lives, especially when they cannot figure out the root/
foundation of our integrity.

They begin to ask questions and query the legitimacy/ genuineness of our spiritual
experience. Anything in our lives that tends to defy the logic of people’s imagination is
therefore to be highly resisted and fought to a standstill. I mean, new things always
suffer uncommon persecution.

When they fail in achieving their aims, they call you names in order to down-grade your
integrity and honour in the eyes of people.

Jesus never begged anyone to believe in Him. He knew that integrity cannot be proven;
it must be discerned.

Integrity is not something we can prove by outward beauty and prestige alone. God
does not judge as people do. Man looks at the outward appearance but God looks at
the heart (1 Samuel 16:7).

Our enemies/ people may try to strip us of outward prestige and beauty but the wisdom
and grace of God cannot be taken from us.

They may call you names in order to paint you black in the eyes of people but the
wisdom and the grace of God cannot be taken from you because it is not given by man.

They were able to take Joseph’s coat of many colours which was given to him by his
father; they were able to separate him from the warm arms of his parents but were
unable to separate him from the presence of God.

When you find yourself in such situations as a child of God, do not lose heart. God
sometimes allows His children to experience persecution in order to toughen
(strengthen) them for the greater heights ahead and the challenges that follow.

David thanked God for not allowing his enemies to triumph over him. Remember, you
cannot be said to be triumphant/ victorious without fighting and winning a war. Triumph
or victory is a product of warfare. In other words, he who desires triumph/ victory must
be ready to embrace war.

So when you are persecuted by your enemies for what you believe in/ when you are
facing trials for Christ’s sake, count it all joy that your chance (opportunity) for victory is
at hand. The Bible strongly advises all true Christians to cultivate (develop) the habit of
finding reasons to rejoice in the Lord, especially in the face of adversity (Isaiah 41:16).

In my own case, persecution has always been a tonic to my anointing. The more the
persecution we receive, the greater the opportunity we have to move closer to God for
strength and renewal, knowing that if gold must be gold, it must pass through fire. If a
clay pot is to be strong, it must go through intense heat.
As gold is tested by fire, so also human character is tested in the furnace of humiliation.

Glory be to God, the more we are persecuted, the more we attract God’s attention and
commitment. The extent of His care and the strength of His might in our lives weaken
and frustrate our adversaries. When God gives you strength, He also sees you through
any obstacle.

Whenever I am persecuted, I am quick to remember the story of Jephthah.

He was an example of the rise of a man to prominence from rejection (Judges 11). He
was persecuted and denied the right to belong. God often humbles those whom He
designs to exalt and makes them the stone the builders reject which finally becomes the
head of the cornerstone.

Joseph, Moses and David – the three most prominent shepherds of Israel, were all
rejected and persecuted by men before they were called of God to great offices.

This is how God prepares His servants for the service He designs them for and makes
their trouble work for their advancement.

If Jephthah had not been so persecuted and rejected by his unkind brothers, he would
not have had such opportunity to develop and improve his military experience that
finally saw him to the throne.

The Bible says, having been rejected by men, Jephthah drew from God’s resources all
that he needed to stand future challenges.

The Spirit of the Lord came upon him and advanced his natural faculties and filled him
with power from on high. Thus God confirmed him in his office in the presence of his
enemies. God gave him an excellent spirit and bravery to face the challenge and his
triumph, his victory was clear.

Nothing was too dear for him to acknowledge God for not allowing his enemy to
triumph over him.

People of God, nothing is too dear to acknowledge God for not allowing our enemies to
triumph over us. We are not in any way suggesting that we have arrived.

Far be it. This is our humble way of thanking God for not allowing our enemies to
triumph over us. “Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and
shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so they
persecuted they the prophets which were before you” (Matthew 5:10-11).

May God bless His holy Word, in Jesus’ name.

gether, in other words, faith without works is dead. Through prayer life the inner man will receive
strength and get right guidance to live a fulfilled life. Without constant prayer the outer man will not
strengthen and will become dissatisfied or frustrated. Prayer life is the right food for inner man’s
strength which guides the outer man. Romans 8:26 says the Holy Spirit helps us our daily problems
when we pray. All the time the inner man must be filled with God’s presence. The problem is many
servants of God never think about prayer life and they give more preference for the outer man (self
satisfaction). The outer man likes self satisfaction, self desires, self pity, self exaltation, self glory and
other things pertaining to earthly desires.. Many called out servants of God build their ministry on their
own desires because of they do not understand the Holy Spirit’s purpose in prayer.

A prayer life will locked up with the Holy Spirit’s help. A prayer life will release from every bondage and
will give boldness to stand for the God’s purpose in your life. Without prayer a man can preach with his
mind and knowledge but the Holy Spirit is not an active participant. Eventually his preaching looses its
effectiveness because it is not God directed. The Apostle Paul wanted to go into Asia to preach the
gospel. But it was through the leading of the Holy Spirit that God forbade him. We are preaching, but is
our preaching effective. It is only effective if we follow the lead of God through prayer and meditation.
God cannot use a man who will not pray in the strong revival that is about to shake the earth. Prayer life
destroys imaginations, self-love, self knowledge and our own methods. Prayer life allows us to function
under God’s plans for our lives. Without prayer we will not understand the move of God’s hand (1Kings
18:44). Prayer will lead us everyday confession before God and clean the heart and prepare us to see
God (Mt.5:8). God can never be wrong in what He does and only seeking Him in prayer are we able to
understand His direction. Few practical prayer considerations Abraham used a wonderful method in his
prayer for city of Sodom. (Ge. 18: 21 – 33) God revealed His purpose for Sodom and immediately
Abraham takes that purpose to speak to God for Sodom because Lot was there. In the word of God
God’s purpose is there. Abraham approached God closely through the purpose of God. The purpose of
God is the key to plead for the wicked City. After long discussion between God and Abraham, God sent
His men to Sodom to save Lot and his family. Finally Abraham saved his cousin and God considered
Abraham’s prayer. In Numbers 16th Chapter 44 to 50 says, Moses and Aaron prayed for rebellious
people of God. Moses ordered Aaron to go and stand between living and dead (Num. 16: 48). Why
Moses did not go stand between living and dead and why he order to Aaron? It was through prayer that
the right person was sent. The exercise of the Prayer life.. The nature of religious prayer is different from
exercises in Spiritual prayer life. It is not prayer by memory that touches God, but prayer from the
heart expressing your daily experiences to a God who knows and will respond when you commune with
Him. To know the vision of the God through prayer life. The vision of the Lord is created by the Lord’s
thoughts.

The man cannot measure the Lord’s vision because it is higher than man’s imaginations and thoughts (Is.
55:8). The foundation of the vision of God is the Word of God, which is the reason we can see the fruit of
the spirit in vision. Through that vision only God’s manifestation will come upon the ministry. We can
find His power and work in the vision. God does not do anything without His children, he works with His
children. After the resurrection of Christ Jesus our Lord, the works have been carried out through His
disciples and His obedient children. If we follow His thoughts we can see the fulfilment of His plans in
our lives because the Son did nothing of Himself but only He did what He saw the Father doing (John 5:
19). Now a days God has chosen you to be His vessel. Prayer life will give fellowship with the Lord and
the fellowship will give the close relation with the Lord and the relationship will give love and the love
will give the dedication and the dedication will give life for one another. A prayerful person became a
vessel of God and through him God will manifest His power and accomplishes His work. If a believer
exercising his prayer life God’s power and work will be expressed. If the child of God failed to exercise
his prayer life, God will be limited. . Prayer life operates the things. Before explain this chapter I
want to tell you a small story. One day the whole family travelling other side of the river by boat. When
the Father was driving the boat his five years old son came and asked Father, Father I will drive the boat
and he took the steering of the boat and started driving. But the boat is not going smoothly. So he asked
his Father, Father why our boat is not going smoothly and why am I not driving perfectly? Then father
said to him, my son your strength is limited, you need physical growth in your body only then can you
drive the boat like your father. This is the meaning of life without Prayer. We cannot do anything for
God. If you want to fulfil your vision you need prayer life. Your Prayer life will lead you into the discipline
of the Holy Spirit. Your prayer life will open the way to God in your business or ministry. Many believers
and Men of God put their mind in other things not in Prayer. One day Jesus went upon a mountain side
and called to Him those He wanted, and they came to Him and He selected twelve of them to be His
regular companions to go out to preach and cast out demons (Mark 3:13,14). There is a law in God’s
calling, those who are called out by Jesus they must be with Him first then they may go reach and cast
out demons.

But these days very sad thing is those who are called by God, completely forget the law of their calling --
they must be with Him. The exercising of the Prayer life will help to fulfil the law of the calling of the
Lord and remaining in His prescence. Many men of God got the calling in their life but we cannot see
the law of the calling of the Lord, which is the reason we are not seeing fruit of the calling in their lives.
God believed and called them for the Kingdom of the God’s work on this earth. If a person wants to fulfil
the God’s expectations in his life, he needs prayer life and prayer life only gives strength to fulfil God’s
expectations in his life. Many believers or Men of God having many opinions and their own principles
and they will apply their principles and opinions in the vision of God what they had from God. They are
depending upon their principles and Opinions for fulfilling the vision of God. That is the reason we are
not seeing the right fruit in right season because our principles and opinions and righteousness deeds
are filthy rags (Is.64: 6). They are many principles and opinions in the calling of God, if you want to reach
those things, only way to be with Him that means exercising the Prayer life. The prayer life will break all
the hindrances in the Ministry and in the family. The presence of God will give the preference of God
and the preference of God will give a perfect work and the perfect work will give the pleasant of God
and the finally pleasant of God will give peace of God. What a wonderful things are in prayer life. If you
want all these things, this is the right time to kneel down and start your prayer life and your prayer life
will take you to the destiny of your vision. Many preachers are preaching with anointing but we are not
seeing practical life what they are preaching. Some people are having burden for soul winning but we
are not seeing many souls released from the fire of the hell. Why? Because they doesn’t have Prayer life.
Only prayer life will release the practical preaching life and release the burden for souls. Through the
Grace of God we may receive lot of experiences and blessings and prosperity but only through the
prayer life we will manifest the power of God among the Nations. Prayer life will work like a vacuum
cleaner in all our heart and mind and body. These days we are seeing many denominations. But in a
prayerful life it God that will dominate and not the denomination. The Prayer life will lead us to the
CrossWe are not qualified people for God’s work simply because we were born in Christian family or by
knowing Moses law or regular church attendance or good principles. But through confessing sins we
will be led by the Holy Spirit to Salvation and the infilling of the Holy Spirit. We are able then to pray
with the Spirit. Our vision of Golgotha’s Cross becomes ever clearer as we contemplate the wonders of
God’s mysteries through prayer. The Cross will help us to deny our self and lead us after Jesus. That is
the reason Jesus said “If any man come after me let him deny himself, and take up his cross and fallow

The Altar of God – 5 Keys

me (Mt. 16:24).

to Keep the Fire of God

Burning in Your Life
CategoriesSpiritual LifePosted onJuly 5, 2021
The Fire of God represents the presence, power, purity, and protection of
God.

The Fire of God in the Bible:

Throughout the Bible, we see many instances where God demonstrated his
physical presence through fire to his people. For instance,

 God appeared to Moses in the form of a burning bush on Mount Sinai (Exodus
3:2).
 He guided the Israelites by day in a pillar of cloud and by night in a pillar of fire
to lead them on their way (Exodus 13:21).
 The fire on the altar served as a constant reminder of God’s power and
presence, and it consumed the burnt offering and the pieces of fat on the altar,
and when the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces (Leviticus
9:24).
 When Solomon finished his prayer, fire came down from heaven and
consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled
the temple (2 Chronicles 7:1).
 Elijah prayed to God, and the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt
offering, the wood, the stones, the dust, and the water in the trench (1 Kings
18:38).
 Deuteronomy 4:24 states, “For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a
jealous God.”
 Acts 2:3 tells us that tongues of fire fell upon the heads of Jesus’s disciples.

The Benefits of the Fire of God in our Lives

The fire of God resides within us.

It purifies us and helps us live a holy and righteous life before God.

It gives us zeal, passion, and a love for the things of God.

It helps us to completely surrender to God’s will for our lives.

It gives us the boldness and courage to share the good news of the kingdom.

It protects us and can be used as a weapon against the enemy.

It can be used as a weapon against the enemy.

It can be used to bring judgment.

How to Receive the Fire

We receive the fire of God when we are born again and baptized by the power of
the Holy Spirit.

I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier
than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy
Spirit and fire. Matthew 3:11
As we receive the fire, we must daily live a life that is pleasing to God by
presenting our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is
our reasonable service (Romans 12:1).

The Reward of Those who Kept the Fire Burning

“At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps
and went out to meet the Bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were
wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The
wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps.” (Matthew 25:1-4)

This parable tells us of the ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet
the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and did not take any oil with them,
while the other five were wise and took oil in jars with their lamps. When the
bridegroom came, the foolish virgins were not prepared, and they were shut out.
In contrast, the wise virgins were ready and went with him into the marriage
feast.

As believers, we must always be prepared spiritually. So that when he comes,

we will have a joyous encounter in his presence. For where the presence of God
is, there is power, and we will see signs and miracles such as healing,
deliverance, freedom, and transformation.

5 Ways to  Keep the Fire Burning in our Lives

We can keep the fire of God burning in our lives by doing the following:

Our God A Consuming Fire

Summary: A prayer sermon addressing our God in the form of a consuming fire

Isaiah 61 (New King James Version)

1 “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me,

Because the LORD has anointed Me

To preach good tidings to the poor;

He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,

To proclaim liberty to the captives,

And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD,

And the day of vengeance of our God;

To comfort all who mourn,

3 To console those who mourn in Zion,

To give them beauty for ashes,

The oil of joy for mourning,

Basically YOU are here reading this message today for Jesus to set you free from various
demeaning and negative situations. What I always tell any congregation where I am blessed to
minister is that if you see the move and the power of God in the meeting then do not hesitate to
link yourself to Him quickly. The Lord has sent His power for those who see to believe and
accept Him. It is also for those who feel for one reason or another that they have disconnected
from His presence to come back quickly. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 2:4 My message and my
preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s
power. So as we pray and look at God’s word His power will flow.

• How excellent is your name O Lord

The scriptures below demonstrate that our God is a consuming fire.

Exodus 24:17

The sight of the glory of the LORD was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain in the
eyes of the children of Israel.

Deuteronomy 4:24

For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.

Deuteronomy 9:3

Therefore understand today that the LORD your God is He who goes over before you as a
consuming fire. He will destroy them and bring them down before you; so you shall drive them
out and destroy them quickly, as the LORD has said to you.

Hebrews 12:29

For our God is a consuming fire.

Today we are here to study and use the consuming fire of God to address various issues in our
lives and situations.

Prayers;

• Every situation of Jezebel threatening to destroy me, die in my place, in the name of Jesus.

• Every situation of Hamman threatening to hang me, be hanged instead in Jesus name.

• Every strange god, claiming me from my place of birth be consumed by fire in Jesus name.

• I receive fire to overcome my Goliath today in Jesus name.

• Every Sickness designed to destroy my body, be consumed by fire in Jesus name.

One way in which the Holy Spirit manifests Himself at times is fire. In fact, the last time that

the Holy Spirit appears visibly in Scripture is as “seven lamps of fire . . . burning before the

throne . . . of God.” Revelation 4:5

(And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were
burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.)

In Hebrew 12:29 the writer of Hebrews makes a simple, but profound, statement: 5“Our God is a
consuming fire.” He does not say that God is like a fire, but that God is a fire. For this reason,
“we must

serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.” Not slavish fear, but “the fear of the
LORD, [which] is clean, enduring forever.”

The writer of Hebrews is not speaking of God the Father, or of God the Son, but of God the Holy
Spirit. He actually is a fire—a consuming fire.

At various points in the history of Israel the Holy Spirit came down among the people as a fire.
In the tabernacle in the wilderness, when Aaron had offered all the appointed sacrifices, fire
came out from before the LORD and consumed the burnt offering and the fat on the altar. When
all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.

In Solomon’s case, when Solomon had finished praying at the dedication of his temple, fire
came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of
the LORD filled the temple. And the priests could not enter the house of the LORD, because the
glory of the LORD had filled the LORD’S house.

PRAYERS TO DESTROY PERMANENT STAGNATION IN MY LIFE….

The Holy Spirit has given me the mandate to preach and prayers interpretation.  For the purpose of this , we will be starting
another 3 days fasting and prayers to destroy permanent delay. So, by the grace of God, this programme will kick start this
thursday, 03th, nov, 2022.

Time is full three days.

During the time of this fasting, you are not permitted to eat or take water. These are set of  people that  have no health issues
neither are they nursing a child or  in pregnancy. May God help this kind of people, Amen.

So, This fasting is very important because the Bible says in Deuteronomy 1;6-8, ”The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb,
saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount: Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and
unto all [the places] nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land
of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates. Behold, I have set the land before you: go in
and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their
seed after them.”

The purpose of this prayer exercise is to destroy the spirit of permanent delays in our lives. We strongly believe, however, that
the Lord will help us during this fasting exercise.

Jesus Christ has told us that, that cycle of permanent delays in the life of any one who take part in this fasting will experience
a new wave of progress, progress in your place of work, progress in your dreams, progress in your finances, progress in your
marriage, progress in your spiritual life, progress in your relationship with God.

- Isaiah 55:8-9, ”For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the
heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
- Genesis 12:1, ”The Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family, and from your father’s house, to
a land that I will show you.”

- Deuteronomy 4:25-28, When thou shalt beget children, and children’s children, and ye shall have remained long in the
land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do evil in the sight
of the Lord thy God, to provoke him to anger: I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon
utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but
shall utterly be destroyed. And the Lord shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among
the heathen, whither the Lord shall lead you. And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone,
which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.”

There are divine delay and satanic delay. God can delay a person’s destiny for many good reasons. While Satan can place a
person in the pit of permanent stagnation.

In Job 1:12 , ”And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine
hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord”.

The Bible clearly told us in Job 2:3, ”So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none
spake a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great”.

The story of Job is an example of a servant of God that has suffered hardship. Do we say God is wicked to have given Satan the
freedom to attack him?

Our God does something with a purpose and in order to build, empower and make us mature. Sometimes, God can delay a
person for the following reasons: Sin, unforgiving, blasphemy etc. In addition, God wanted to know how Job will respond to the
divine test.

During this period, Job’s wife was another devil in his household whom Satan was using as a tool to force Job to curse God and
die. Meanwhile, Satan has fired some kinds of arrows in the life of Job, to the point of losing his children and wealth.

How sad! God has used Job’s story to teach us that suffering or stagnation is not always related to the devil alone as it can come
from God to checkmate our state of faith John 16:33.

As a Christian, we must make sure that the spirit of stagnation must be fought to the  very last. Perhaps, prayer to break the
yoke of stagnation is the right prayers to be set free from troubles, and calamities. God loves people that make progress with
the support of the Holy Spirit, but when a person find it hard to obtain victory and achievement in his career then it becomes a
critical issues the person must look into.  The spirit of stagnation has robbed many of their divine progress.

When you see a person who has a great talent or working in a good organisation where promotion has never got to him, know
that the person’s destiny is  disturbed by foundational powers.

These foundational powers can spit out curses that will bring back the person to the place of limitation. This is a point where
the news of breakthrough and testimony will not be heard from this people. The enemy will make sure that the person will not
be able to move forward, marry and prosper.

Divine progress is one of the signs that indicate that God’s mercy is with a person. Have you ever seen people in the prison?
Their only limitation is the freedom to see the world.  That’s how demons have kept many people’s destiny in the cage of
permanent delay. They prayed, no way. They fasted, no way. They shouted praises, no way. We cannot pretend to be suffering
and smiling and yet nothing is happening to us as a believer.

ENCOURAGEMENT: May I quickly use this medium to encourage you with this thoughts before it expires on my mind? Please, do
not be discouraged. Things will soon get better and stronger. It doesn’t matter the pains, anxierties and fear, the Lord will
remove them from your destiny. The progress is coming after these prayers. Keep on praying, fasting and sing different praises
to God. One day but one day, you will hit my testimony section to say, All glory be to God for answering my prayers. I got
demotivated sometimes, perhaps, some people may decided step on my toes. I became stronger by reading my darling Bible.
Look, some stagnation are met to be geared up our faith like Job
