PART 1: FREE YOUR MIND

CHAPTER 1: BECOMING LIMITLESS

The author had a brain injury in kindergarten and struggled with feeling dumb and unable to learn.
Comic books, especially the X-Men, helped him learn to read and gave him hope for overcoming impossible
odds. He related to the outcast characters and searched for a place where he fit in and could develop his own
superpowers.

THE BOY WITH THE BROKEN BRAIN

The author's grandmother had dementia and the author was bullied in school for learning challenges. A
teacher labeled them "the boy with the broken brain" and he struggled with most subjects but excelled in math.
He wrote a report comparing Leonardo da Vinci and Albert Einstein to pass English class but lied about not
completing it when the teacher asked him to present it, throwing it in the garbage and losing self-respect.

YOU ARE CLOSER THAN YOU THINK

The author struggled in school but managed to get into a local university. However, The author
struggled in college and considered dropping out until a friend's father encouraged him to make a bucket list and
commit to reading one book per week.

ASKING THE RIGHT QUESTION

The author struggled with reading and was overwhelmed by the piles of books he had to read. He
pushed himselves to the point of exhaustion and ended up in the hospital. While recovering, he realized he was
asking the wrong question and decided to find a better method for learning. He couldn't find any classes on how
to learn, only on what to learn.

LEARNING HOW TO LEARN

The author developed practical methods for learning after a hospital stay and has trained over 150,000
people. This book offers lessons and advice based on the author's research and experience. He believes in
everyone's capacity to learn and wants to build better and brighter brains by leaving no brain behind.

FINDING PROFESSOR X’S SCHOOL

The author did a coaching session for 20th Century Fox and was invited to spend a week on the set of an
X-Men movie, where he shared his brain techniques with the cast and crew. He got to see a scene being filmed
at a place he had always dreamed of finding as a child. He received a framed photograph of himself with the
entire X-Men cast as a thank you gift from the chairman. The author encourages readers to work towards their
dreams.

UNLIMITING TOGETHER

Unlimiting is the act of letting go of inaccurate and restrictive perceptions of one's potential and
embracing the reality that there are no limitations with the right mindset, motivation, and methods. It's about
unlearning the limitations that we've accepted from our family, culture, and experiences and expanding our
mindset, motivation, and methods to create a limitless life. By doing this, we can progress beyond what we
currently believe is possible and live a life that others can't.
THE LIMITLESS MODEL

The book "Limitless" offers a framework to help readers overcome limiting beliefs, lack of motivation,
and ineffective methods to achieve their goals. It includes exercises, studies, and a 10-day plan to jump-start
progress towards a limitless life. The author also runs an online learning academy to help people unleash their
mental superpowers.

CHAPTER 2: WHY THIS MATTERS NOW

We have superpowers, but also supervillains holding us back from our potential in learning. These
villains are digital deluge, digital distraction, digital dementia, and digital deduction, amplified by our
overreliance on technology. We need to control our interaction with technology to avoid overload, distraction,
forgetfulness, and default thinking.

DIGITAL DELUGE

Access to too much information through technology can harm our mental health and memory. Taking
breaks is essential for learning and memory retention. There are health risks associated with constantly being
connected, including stress and poor health. The book offers practical solutions to manage the overwhelming
amount of information we process daily.

DIGITAL DISTRACTION

Constant use of mobile devices and social media leads to difficulties in disconnecting and affects
relationships and concentration. Having phones accessible during meals can cause distraction and less
enjoyment. Multitasking leads to exhaustion. Chapter 11 will provide solutions for sustained concentration and
focus development.

DIGITAL DEMENTIA

With the advent of technology, we have lost the ability to remember basic information like phone
numbers, and even the habit of looking up information prevents the build-up of long-term memories. While
outsourcing some tasks to technology may save brain space, we should be making conscious choices to exercise
our minds. To avoid the negative effects of technology, Chapter 13 provides tools and techniques to improve
memory.

DIGITAL DEDUCTION

The reliance on technology to solve every problem may lead to overconfidence and poor decision-
making, as deduction is becoming automated. We need to be wary of the comparison culture that arises from the
highlight reels of social media feeds and causes digital depression. Supercharging our thinking and expanding
our perspective on any topic or problem is essential, and we need to mitigate feelings of not being enough, as
well as fears of looking bad or missing out, to reach our limitless potential.

KEEPING THE VILLAINS AT BAY

Heroes need villains and vice versa in the hero’s journey. The challenges and trials from rivals help us
grow as individuals and become better. Simon Sinek refers to worthy rivals who help us identify personal
weaknesses. Technology, like fire, has the potential for both good and bad outcomes. It's up to us to choose how
we engage with technology.
