Topic- Massive iot access with NOMA in 5G networks and beyond using online competitiveness and

learning.

Summary-

This research paper, normally discusses about the problem of online grouping, scheduling and power
allocations in 5G networks and beyond cellular IoT NOMA networks.

The authors of this article conclude that the proposed approach enables inefficient and miserable IoT
connectivity in future wireless networks.

Detailed notes

The article titled-‘Massive IoT access with NOMA in 5G networks and beyond using online
competitiveness and learning proposes a new approach to enable IoT access in 5G networks using non
orthogonal multiple access also called as NOMA and online competitiveness and learning.

Author proposed that NOMA is a promising technology to access a large number of devices using a
limited number of radio resources.

NOMA allows multiple IoT devices to share the same time and frequency resources, improving the
efficiency.

Firstly the author formulate the problem as MINLP as converts to MILP,Linear program,In some cases
and NP hardness is executed.

Then, by dividing the problem into NOMA grouping, An effective online competitive algorithm is
proposed to solve these sub problems and the power solution is allocated to each NOMA group.

Positive points-

 Noma grouping surge multiple users at the same time and with same frequency Resource
 increase the user serving the network at the same time
 NOMA art forms OMA in term of capacity and fairness.

Negative points

 lacks the real world experimentation.

 Even with the lab of experimentation, there is also very limited discussion on implementing
NOMA on 5G network.
 Formulated problems are non convex many times.
