How to guide the cables
➢ Guide all cabling through the hole to the left of the MCB, on the rear of the projector.
➢ AC mains cables should be routed through the lower hole (1), and low voltage cabling should be routed through the upper
hole(2).
➢ Connect all cabling as indicated in the MCB wiring diagram on slide 40.
➢ After all connections are completed, use cable ties to secure the cabling working from right to left. For cables near the LDM
handles, ensure that the cables are positioned inside of the handle, to help prevent damage from the rear cover when
installed/removed.

Troubleshooting introduction
The screen of the Water Cooling Module reports errors coming from the:
➢ Laser Light source: phosphor wheel rotation speed, diffusor wheel, Temperature sensors…
➢ Laser Driver Modules: power supply of Red, Green, Blue diodes + TEC (cooling red laser)…
➢ Electronics: communication between main blocks (MCB, MB, CB, WCM)…
➢ Water Cooling Module: pump and fans speed.
To escalate an issue with these parts, you need to use the information coming from the Water Cooling Module screen:
The Tail light of the projector will not reflect error(s) on the LLS, LDM, WCM...
The errors of the LLS, LDM, WCM won’t be part of the projector Diagnostics package
133
LASER DRIVER MODULES
1. You cannot switch ON the Laser = Show stopper
Situation: No communication between LDM and Main Controller Board. Error 33 737 “Power x no Tick” on WCM screen
Why: communication cable disconnected from LDM to Main Controller board or defective LDM
Solution: Check communication cable to MCB Slot J14– Check Red LED error on LDM - Replace LDM
134
LASER DRIVER MODULES
1. You cannot switch ON the Laser = Show stopper
Situation: No power on the Water-Cooling Module – No error message possible
Why: LDM that delivers 24 Volts to the Water-Cooling Module is disconnected or defective. A cable from MCB to WCM is
disconnected. WCM is defective
Solution: Check Red LED on LDM - Check cable that goes from LDM to MCB and from MCB to WCM - Replace LDM – Replace WCM
135
LASER DRIVER MODULES
1. You cannot switch ON the Laser = Show stopper
Situation: No power on TEC board (cooling of Red Laser diodes) – Error 64 238 “TEC lock E” on WCM screen
Why: TEC cable is disconnected from LDM to TEC board or TEC driver is defective in the LDM
Solution: Check cable from LDM to TEC board - Check Red LED on LDM (error) - Change LDM
136
LASER DRIVER MODULES
2. You can switch ON the Laser = not a show stopper
Situation: Brightness is low with color shift visible on screen – No error on WCM screen
Why: some Laser banks are not powered on because a cable is disconnected or a driver is defective
Solution: Check power cables from LDM to Power interconnection board on the Light Source. Check Red LED (error) on LDM Replace
defective LDM
137
MAIN CONTROLLER BOARD
You cannot switch ON the Laser = show stopper
Situation: diffusor wheel motor (small wheel) speed start up failed. Error 11002 “Wheel s st Step 1E” on WCM screen
Solution: Check power cables from MCB to diffusor wheel interconnection board / Check the Firmware version of the
MCB and update if needed / Replace the diffusor wheel motor controller board / Replace the MCB
Diffusor

138
MAIN CONTROLLER BOARD
You cannot switch ON the Laser = show stopper
Situation: phosphor wheel motor (big wheel) speed start up failed. Error 10 502 “Wheel B st Step 1E” on WCM screen

MAIN CONTROLLER BOARD
You cannot switch ON the Laser = show stopper
Situation: Error at boot up “CMMM/A”. When you try to ignite the Laser, Error 23737 – “Cool 1 No Tick E”

141
MAIN CONTROLLER BOARD
You cannot switch ON the Laser = show stopper
Situation: Error when you try to ignite the Laser. Error 63737 – “TEC no Tick E”
Why: The communication cable that goes from the MCB to the TEC board (cooling of Red Laser is disconnected).
Solution: Check the cable E19010000816 (B projector) E19010000782 (C projector) that goes from the MCB (slot J14) to TEC board.
TEC COM
Slot J4
142
Communication Board
You cannot switch ON the Laser = show stopper
Situation: Projector Red Tail light – Error “Lamp Power Supplies – Zero Lamp Power Supplies detected”
Why: The Cinema Controller Board cannot communicate with the Communication Board or the Communication Board cannot
communicate with MCB
Solution: 1 Check the green LED on the Communication Board is ON. If OFF, there is no communication between the CCB and
the CB (Light Source). 2 Check the serial cable that comes from the backplane is well connected to the CB. 3 Check the serial
cable that goes from the CB to the MCB (slot J17) is well connected
3
1
143
Water Cooling Module
You cannot switch ON the Laser = show stopper
Why: The fans of the WCM (2 fans in C cooler / 3 fans in B cooler) do not spin anymore
Solution: Remove the WCM cover. Check the cables that go from the fans to the controller board. Replace the fans. If only one fan
fails, you have redundancy.
144
Water Cooling Module
You can switch ON the Laser only for a couple of minutes= show stopper
Why: no liquid flow between the light source and the cooler. Ambient Temperature too high
Solution: Check the cooling hoses connectors that go from the LLS to the WCM are correctly connected. Check the ambient
temperature in the booth.
35
145
Water Cooling Module
You can switch ON the Laser only for a couple of minutes= show stopper
Why: The WCM controller board monitors the pump speed. It is below the minimum value.
Solution: Open the cover of the WCM. 1 Check the power cable that delivers 24V to the pump. 2 Check the cable the cable
that monitors the pump rotation speed. If not solved, replace the WCM.
