✓ Close to heat source, heat turns liquid into vapor ✓ Cooled vapor turns back into liquid
✓ Vapor travels back to condensor through small pipes ✓ Then goes back to the heart source

BENEFITS OF VAPOR CHAMBER

✓ Flat metal structure very close to the heat source: laser diodes, phosphor heat exchanger...
✓ Spread the heat in an uniform way
✓ Very high cooling capability
✓ No pump, no tank to refill...

Conclusions

➢ Compared to Xenon, heat dissipation of RGB+ Laser Light Sources is low (comparable to BLP, CLP)

➢ If the booth has an AC system powerful enough, it is not recommended to extract the air outside the booth

➢ AC has to be dimensioned so it can keep the temperature below 25C.

Health Check

Use the Cinionic documentation:

➢ Fill all the information required

➢ Take high quality pictures of the following parts:

✓ Projector serial number and production date

✓ Lens type number (R98...) and lens serial number
✓ Inside of the liquid cooling tank
✓ Projector external covers
✓ Entrance of the integrator rod and light pipe
✓ Exist prism (remove the lens)
✓ CCB removed from the elca box
✓ Light engine fan
✓ Lens front and backside
✓ LPS back fan (remove one LPS)
✓ Lamp house compartment (remove the Lamp house)

Be sure there is no active warnings / errors

Be sure there is no dead pixels visible on screen
49
OSAT

➢ Fill all the information required about Projector and Light

source (serial number, IP settings...)

➢ Measure the brightness of the projector before retrofit

➢ Be sure to follow the measuring procedure defined by Cinionic

especially the following points:

✓ Wait the lamp to be stable (at least 15 minutes)

✓ Put lamp to maximum power
✓ Align lamp to reach maximum brightness output
✓ Create a macro “BrightnessRefFlat” based on Flat macro
✓ Projector external covers
✓ Measure the brightness at the PLP with lights off
✓ Record the value in the documentation
✓ Recalibrate the CLO
✓ Perform the retrofit
✓ Measure the brightness once again using the same position,
point and measuring device
✓ Record

Be sure to take a full Diagnostic package

How to guide the cables
➢ Guide all cabling through the hole to the left of the MCB, on the rear of the projector.
➢ AC mains cables should be routed through the lower hole (1), and low voltage cabling should be routed through the upper
hole(2).
➢ Connect all cabling as indicated in the MCB wiring diagram on slide 40.
➢ After all connections are completed, use cable ties to secure the cabling working from right to left. For cables near the LDM
handles, ensure that the cables are positioned inside of the handle, to help prevent damage from the rear cover when
installed/removed.

75

12. License mechanism

117
Question from the field

“Who should I contact to get the license? What information is needed”

Contact the Cinionic helpdesk and create a ticket: https://www.cinionic.com/service-mycinionic/

We need the serial number of the Laser Light Source and the Serial number of the projector

118
License system

Important:
All RGB+ Laser Light Sources come with a grace period of time of 1000 hours where you can switch ON
the Laser without license uploaded

License:

➢ Encrypted bin file made for a dedicated Light source (unique

Serial Number)

➢ License is stored on an EEPROM on the Light Source (not on a

serviceable board)

119
Load the License

For non-integrated LLS, the license is loaded via FTP.

FileZilla is recommended and can be downloaded here:
https://filezilla-project.org/

➢ Launch FileZilla

Host: IP of the Monitoring Board

Username: “SERVICE”
Password: “C1n!@NiC”
Click “Quickconnect”

Allow insecure connection by clicking “OK”

120
Load the License

➢ Once connected, ensure the directory is present

➢ Browse and select the desired license file stored on your

laptop

➢ Drag / move the license into the directory labeled “license”

➢ The license will upload automatically

121
License system

Two solutions possible:

➢ Customer leases the system or buy the system.

➢ In both cases, license is absolutely needed

License:

➢ Encrypted bin file made for a dedicated Light source (unique

Serial Number)

➢ The license can be loaded on site or remotely via VPN

connectivity using Filezilla

➢ License is stored on an EEPROM on the Light Source not on a

serviceable board

New units from factory can be used 1000 hours without license
122
Load the License

License is not always needed. RGB+ can be bought

(hardware without a license) or can be leased with a license
mechanism

The license is loaded via FTP. Filezilla is recommended and

can be downloaded here: https://filezilla-project.org/

➢ Launch Filezilla

Host: IP of the Monitoring Board

14. Basic Troubleshooting

132
Troubleshooting introduction
The screen of the Water Cooling Module reports errors coming from the:

➢ Laser Light source: phosphor wheel rotation speed, diffusor wheel, Temperature sensors…
➢ Laser Driver Modules: power supply of Red, Green, Blue diodes + TEC (cooling red laser)…
➢ Electronics: communication between main blocks (MCB, MB, CB, WCM)…
➢ Water Cooling Module: pump and fans speed.

To escalate an issue with these parts, you need to use the information coming from the Water Cooling Module screen:

The Tail light of the projector will not reflect error(s) on the LLS, LDM, WCM...

The errors of the LLS, LDM, WCM won’t be part of the projector Diagnostics package
