PET REPORT
Report:
Findings: The right lung shows a focal area of increased radiotracer uptake in the superior segment of
the right lower lobe measuring approximately 2.5 cm in diameter. No abnormal uptake is noted in other
regions of the right lung or in the left lung.
Impression:
- Focal area of increased radiotracer uptake in the superior segment of the right lower lobe,2.5 cm in
maximum diameter. No other abnormal radiotracer uptake is noted in the lung or pleural spaces.
Impression:
The PET scan demonstrates a focal area of increased radiotracer uptake in the superior segment of the
right lower lobe, which is concerning for malignancy. A confirmatory diagnostic workup, such as a biopsy
or further imaging studies, may be necessary to determine the nature of the lesion. Clinical correlation is
recommended.
