CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

From selecting a place, designing the garden, preparing the soil,

selecting seeds and plants, plating a crop and tending the plants until she are
ready to harvest are all part of vegetable gardening. Fresh vegetables to eat,
share, or sell is the end product. A vegetable garden can be grown by anyone
who is willing to devote a few minutes every day or two to care for the
plants. It does not necessitate a lot of money, time, or talent, though some of
these would be advantageous. Every year with patience and practice, your
talents will develop. Do not get discourage if your first tries fail miserably.

Many people engage in vegetable growing for a varied reason. The

nation’s bad eating habits are one of the reasons why people plant vegetable
garden. Another factor is the country’s current economic condition, people
have had to adapt to a new way of life by cultivating gardens, which will help
with both unhealth eating habits and economy’s decline. People can also save
money on their shopping expenses by growing their own vegetables. People
are now establishing garden as a form of exercise and for simple pleasure of
collecting delicious produce.
