When your pets initially arrive at the AVI room, the
first step is document processing. All the documents
with your pet, such as the air waybill and
vaccinations, must be processed by airport officials
before the Customs process can begin. This usually
takes between 90 and 120 minutes but can
sometimes take longer.
After step 1, the original documents of your pet will
be handed over to Sandy Paws Team at the airlines
Counter.
This process can take between 20 minutes to 2+

At step 5, your pet will be moved to the cargo area
and gate pass for the designated vehicle will be
issued.
This final step can take between 10 to 30 minutes.
The total time for the clearance process is between 3
to 6 hours from the moment your pet lands to leaving
airport grounds.

Yes, of course. If you would like to receive updates
about the process, please inform the Sandy Paws
team and they will be in touch with you throughout
the whole process accordingly.
After the flight arrival, your pet is taken from the
aircraft to one of the temperature-controlled, animal
handling facilities within the airport, around 30 to 60
minutes after landing. Following this, the
documentation process is carried out (step 1).
No. The clearance process is dependent on the
airport authorities and the customs process and can
take time. A total clearance time of 3 to 6 hours
should be allotted from the moment your pet
disembarks.

Will I receive any pictures on arrival?

airport and come to my residence?

We will not be able to meet your pet until the final
clearance check is completed. Once the process is
completed and we meet the pet, we will gladly take
some pictures and share them with you.
Once the pet is released after the final step of the
clearance process is done, one of our animal handlers
will be taking your pet directly to the location
provided by the pet owner.
The airport staff in the animal facility will provide
water for pets. Food is not provided.
Yes, you can. In this case, we suggest that you arrive
at the Terminal around 3 hours after the flight lands
and wait for your pet till the clearance is completed.
Yes, you will receive all these documents upon the
delivery of your pet.
Sandy Paws will deliver your pet to your residence.
Our vans are fully designed and equipped for Pet
transport to ensure a comfortable ride. All our
vehicles are fully insured, with roof-mounted A/C
units and a climate control system. All vans carry
first-aid kits, animal first-aid kits, non-spill water
bowls for your pets, bedding, cleaning products,
safety equipment, and additional travel crates of
different sizes. Our vans are sanitized and cleaned
regularly to ensure the most comfortable transport
for your pet.
Our animal handlers are fully vaccinated and trained
to handle your pets.
