DRESS CODE POLICY

 
 
 
Dear Candidate, hi
 
Greetings from NIMS Group,

It is our corporate responsibility to uphold the aims and ethos of the


school and is essential that we recognize that teachers are the role
models for the students.  
Please refer below the Staff Code of Conduct for the summary of
expectation from the Staff. 
 
Dress
All members of staff are expected to dress formally and smartly during
the academic part of the day.
Staff act as role models for our pupils and as we expect pupils to wear a
smart uniform, we also reflect and uphold this expectation
Teachers must ear the teachers coat.
 
Practice and Procedure
At all times (around the school during term time and informal meetings
outside of term time), all members of staff are expected to dress formally
and smartly during the academic part of the day, as appropriate to our
professional status.
 
Female staff:
-  Strapless tops or tops with thin straps are not permitted. Tops
should have modest necklines and should be opaque and not sheer
or transparent. It is expected to wear dupatta along with Salwar.
-  If trousers are worn, they should be smart trousers that are not
ripped or in any way transparent. Leggings are not permitted.
-  Skirts or dresses should be longer than knee-length and should
cover the knees when seated. Knees should not be visible when
sitting or standing.
-  Footwear should be professional (i.e. dress sandals, smart
sandals, flats, dress shoes). Flipflops, sports sandals, and sports
shoes should not be worn.
-  Clothing should not be too form-fitting or revealing. Always
ensure shoulders and knees are covered, and when in doubt, err on
the side of being conservative.
-   Arab employees may wear the abaya if preferred.
-  Should you wish to wear makeup, please ensure it is moderate.
Excessive makeup is discouraged.
- Visible tattoos are not encouraged in the school.
-Muslim Teachers must cover their head.
 

 
Male staff:
- A shirt and tie with tailored trousers must be worn at all times.
Shirts should be buttoned to the neck. A tie should be worn when
hosting visitors.
-  Suits should be worn for all formal or public occasions such as,
but not restricted to, parents’ evenings, school plays and musicals,
and visits to outside businesses or public events.
-  Footwear should be professional (i.e. dress shoes). Flip-flops,
sports shoes, and sandals should not be worn.
-  Arab employees may wear the UAE national dress with well-
maintained shoes or slippers.
