Guidelines for CV Creation:

1. Single Page Limit: Ensure your CV is limited to a single page. If it extends beyond one page,
prioritize essential and relevant information for the selection process.
2. Personal Details Exclusion: Omit personal details such as contact information, DOB, marital
status, and nationality.
3. Certified Documentation: Only include information for which you possess relevant
documentation, such as certificates, pay slips, letters, etc.
4. Professional Tone & Power Verbs: Maintain a professional tone, avoiding informal language
or abbreviations. Make use of power verbs/ keywords in your sentences.
5. NMIMS Logo in Header: Include the NMIMS logo on the right-hand corner of the header,
strictly as provided in the template. Do not alter the logo size.
6. Ribbons: Do not change the colour of the ribbons at the top of each section.
7. Font and Size:
a. Use Calibri (body) size 10 for the main body of your CV.
b. Calibri (body) size 12 for your name (with the initials of your name in capitals) and 'MBA'
in the header section.
c. Calibri (body) size 9 for the remaining contents in the header and footer sections.
8. Social Media Handle: Only mention your LinkedIn handle as specified in the sample CV.
Please ensure to shorten the URL of the same. Also, in the header section, mention your
NMIMS outlook ID only.
9. Bullet Points and Formatting: Use circles as the only bullet point type. Avoid flowing points
and ensure sentences fill the entire box without leaving any white spaces.
10. Reverse Chronological Order: Present all information in reverse chronological order.
11. Academic Credentials: Mention MBA in the qualification column without specifying
specialization. Mention the CGPA and Percentage figures precisely as per the format provided,
along with mentioning the year of passing in the year column for MBA qualifications.
12. Professional Certifications: Only mention the National and International level certifications
such as CA, CFA, FRM, NSE certifications, BSE certifications, etc. You can also mention the
professional certifications from international companies such as KPMG Six Sigma, EY
professional certifications, McKinsey Certifications, etc. The other certifications completed
under platforms such as Coursera, Udemy, Google and Bloomberg will come under the
certification section (Co-curricular & Extracurricular activities/Certifications).
13. Concise Roles & Responsibilities: Keep brief descriptions of experiences and positions of
responsibility.
14. Extra-Curricular Activities: Add additional sections (rows) only if relevant.
15. Highlight Notable Achievements: Showcase any notable achievements, awards, certifications,
or skills relevant to your expertise by keeping it bold.
16. Other Interests: Include a maximum of your three best hobbies.
