Georgia Studies Weekly

Dear Parents,
The second-grade team has chosen to integrate Georgia Studies Weekly into our curriculum
this school year. Georgia Studies Weekly is a magazine for students that is aligned with our
social studies and reading standards. These periodicals assist in engaging student learning
through quality nonfiction content on second grade topics. Each magazine comes in a
newspaper format as well as an online version and contain primary source illustrations and
integrated lessons that spotlight historical figures, connections to current events, geographical
regions of Georgia, character education, and much more.

The cost of the Georgia Studies Weekly – Social Studies newspaper is $12.50 per student.
Donations will be accepted through our RevTrak payment system. Payment may be made
using your computer or mobile device. This is a voluntary donation.
