Abstract— This document gives formatting instructions for authors preparing


papers for publication in the JOMBI Journal. The authors must follow the
instructions given in the document for the papers to be published. You can use this
document as both an instruction set and as a template into which you can type your
own text. The abstract is to be in fully-justified italicized text as it is here, below the
author information. Use the word “Abstract” as the title, in 12-point Times New
Roman, boldface type, centered relative to the column, initially capitalized. The
abstract is to be in 11-point, single-spaced type, and may be up to 3 in. (18 picas or
7.62 cm) long. Leave two blank lines after the abstract, and then begin the main text.
An abstract should be 100 to 200 words, and should clearly state the author
contribution, and open problem of the paper. All manuscripts must be in English.

1. INTRODUCTION
This document is a template. An electronic copy can be downloaded from the journal
website. For questions on paper guidelines, please contact the journal publications
committee as indicated on the journal website. Information about final paper submission
is available from the journal website. These guidelines include complete descriptions of
the fonts, spacing, and related information for producing your proceedings manuscripts.

2. PAGE LAYOUT
An easy way to comply with the journal paper formatting requirements is to use this
document as a template and simply type your text into it
A. Page Layout
Your paper must use a page size corresponding to A4 which is 21 cm (8.27") wide and
29.7cm (11.69") long. The margins must be set as follows:
• Top = 2.03 cm (0.80")
• Bottom = 3.05 cm (1.20")
• Left = Right = 3.5 cm (1.38")

All paragraphs must be indented. All paragraphs must be justified, i.e. both left-
justified and right-justified.
3.1. TEXT FONT OF ENTIRE DOCUMENT
The entire document should be in Times New Roman or Times font. Type 3 fonts must
not be used. Other font types may be used if needed for special purposes.
Recommended font sizes are shown in Table 1.

3.2. TITLE AND AUTHOR DETAILS


Title must be in 14 pt Regular font. Author name must be in 12 pt Regular font. Author
affiliation must be in 11 pt Italic. Email address must be in 11 pt Italic Regular font.

4. AUTHOR NAME(S) AND AFFILIATION(S)


Author details must not show any professional title (e.g. Managing Director), any
academic title (e.g. Dr.) or any membership of any professional organization (e.g. Senior
Member IEEE).
To avoid confusion, the family name must be written as the last part of each author
name (e.g. Muhammad Irwan Padli Nasution).

4.1. AFFILIATIONS
Each affiliation must include, at the very least, the name of the company and the name
of the country where the author is based (e.g. FEBI Press Medan, Indonesia).

4.2. CORRESPONDING AUTHOR


Corresponding author should have an asterisk sign (*) if possible, after the
corresponding author’s name. The Corresponding author (e.g., *Corresponding Author)
label should be appeared at the footnote section of the first page of the paper, Times
New Roman in style and 10 in font size. Email address is compulsory for the
corresponding author.

5. FIGURES AND TABLES


Figures and tables must be centered page. Large figures and tables may span across
both pages. Any table or figure that takes up more than 1 column width must be
positioned either at the top or at the bottom of the page.

Figures must be numbered using numerals. Figure captions must be in 10 pt Regular


font. Captions of a single line must be centered whereas multi-line captions must be

justified (e.g. Figure 1). Captions with figure numbers must be placed after their
associated figures, as shown in Figure 1.

5.2. TABLE CAPTIONS


Tables must be numbered using numerals. Table captions must be centred and in 11 pt
Regular font with Small Caps. Every word in a table caption must be capitalized except
for short minor words as listed in Section III-B. Captions with table numbers must be
placed before their associated tables, as shown in Table 1.

5.3. EQUATIONS (OPTIONAL)


Including symbols and equations in the text, the variable name and style must be
consistent with those in the equations. Equations should be indented at the left margin
and numbered at the right margin, equation number is enclosed with open and close
parenthesis () Time New Roman in style and 11pt font size. Define all symbols the first
time they are used. All equation symbols must be defined in a clear and understandable
way.

6. FIRST-ORDER HEADINGS
A level-1 heading 1. INTRODUCTION, should be Times New Roman 12-point
boldface, all capitalized, flush left, with one blank line before, and one blank line after.

6.1. SECOND-ORDER HEADINGS (SUB-HEADING)


A level-2 heading must be in Times New Roman 11-point boldface, all capitalized,
flush left, with one blank line before, and one after.

6.1.1. THIRD-ORDER HEADINGS: A level-3 heading must be indented, as in this


paragraph, are discouraged. However, if you must use them, use 11-point Times New
Roman, boldface, all capitalized, flush left, and proceeded by one blank line, followed by
a colon and your text on the same line.

APPENDIXES
An appendix, if needed, should appear before the acknowledgments.

7. CONCLUSION
This section summarizes the paper, presents challenges, suggests future study, and so on
to create a lasting impression of the paper.

These should be brief and placed at the end of the text before the references.

REFERENCES
List and number all bibliographical references that has important contribution on the
paper, (if possible, limit to 20, which only are necessary citations are recommended). 10-
point Times New Roman, fully justified, single-spaced, at the end of your paper. Number
the reference items consecutively in square brackets (e.g. [1]). Do not abbreviate the
months.
When referring to a reference item, please simply use the reference number, as in [2].
Do not use “Ref. [3]” or “Reference [3]” except at the beginning of a sentence, e.g.
“Reference [3] shows …”. Multiple references are each numbered with separate brackets
(e.g. [2], [3], [4]–[6]). (See examples below)
