• It helps the admins (and specialists) identifying changes in the content
• The changes are reported on top of the output slide
• The purpose is to limit our content mistakes toward clients and increase our productivity
3
Where to find it
The content checker is part of the toolbox, but also runs automatically after the specialists “done” submission

Content checker as part of the Content is automatically checked after being submitted as “done”
toolbox

4
How it works (1)
The content checker first finds which slides that match based on the titles and then check for added, missing
or changed “paragraphs”

Step 1: Match slides based on titles Step 2: It checks the “paragraphs” of the slides
Input files Output / submission
Title 1 Title 1 1. Gets all the paragraphs on both slides
• Content here is Content is 2. Goes through each paragraph in the input
cool incorrect
slide and checks if it still exists on the
output slide
Title 2 Title 1 OPTION 3. Goes through each paragraph in the output
• Table of stuff • Content here is Content is slide and checks if they all are also in the
not cool incorrect input slide
4. It uses “math” (Levieindistance) to find
paragraphs that have been changed (ie. that
Title 3 Title 2
are similar, but still different).
Insights are 4 reals • Table of stuff Content is
correct 5. Summarize that all input and output
paragraphs are either: identified, missing,
added, or changed
Title 4 Title 3
6. The result of this is then presented on the
Insights are 4 reals Content is slides
correct

5
How it works (2)
On the output slides the results are presented and presented with different labels

Deleted content:
1 Paragraphs that has been deleted
Output examples
1
from the input.
The app shows one box for each
paragraph that has been deleted 2
and write the content that was
delted

Changed content 2
2 Parts of the slide that is
no longer identical to the
input. This can be a result
1
of a change in a few letters, or just a single “dot” (.).

If things have been changed a lot the content will 3

be considered “added” / “deleted” and not
changed

Content added
3 Paragraphs that was not
identified in the input, but
are now being shown in the 3
output
Note: We plan on implementing a list of changes to this in the near future to improve this further 6
When to use it
You can never be too careful – so use it whenever the input and output is both PowerPoint slides

Do not USE USE

The output is The input is not On all projects Before final

not PowerPoint PowerPoint where the input submission
file is a
PowerPoint
deck

7
Limitations to be aware of

o The content checker does not work for

recreations – these needs very careful checking

o It does not check if all slides in the correct order

o It is very sensitive with respect to capitalization

o It does not show the specific locations of “table”

and “graph” content

o It does not check if “numbers” in bulleted lists are

maintained

o When the input slides and output slides have very

different titles the content checker is hardly
finding any matches

o If all titles in the input and output deck are the

same matching slides can be hard and might not
provide a helpful input
