Project Proposal

I. Project Title

The activity “Feeding Program” aims to spread good health, care for the youth
involvement to spread unity and love for the community. The said activity will last at
estimated 1-2 hours.

II. Rationale

There are too many Children in Conflict with the Law who are presently housed in
various government rehab centers. Their cases range from petty crimes to offenses
punishable by long-term imprisonment. Manila Youth Reception Center, a temporary
detention center for Children in Conflict with the Law or CICL and constructed in 1962
as a project of the juvenile control bureau. The institution doing its best effort to its
mission to provide shelter, utmost care, protection, and guidance to children in conflict
with the Law. However, Not all problems can be solved simultaneously it is because
of the lack of funds.

Maybe it’s about time we check on our children too. Have time to talk with them and
know what’s going on in their young lives. Let them know that they have someone to
talk to at home and they are loved as any member of your family.

We came up with the advocacy in improving the life of the children by observing what is
lacking and planning on what we can do to help. Within 1-2 hours that we’re
going to spend on this acti vity , we’ll be able to help, contribute and give love to
our youth. Also, through this activity, we can spread the essence of unity which
could be a great start to infl uence the youths.

III. Time Frame

This activity will be conducted every Sunday, and will likely take 1-2 hours of caring for
the helping the betterment of the lives, emotionally, spiritually, and behaviorally, of
the youth. We will leave nothing but footmarks that will be the direction of other
people especially the youth in the right direction.

IV. Objectives
 The program aims to contribute to the easier development of the children
 To influence the youth with good citizenship
 To address the scarcity of food in the center
V. Target Population:
The activity shall benefit the youth in the Manila Youth Reception Center.

VI. Program Partners:

In implementing the feeding program, we need all the help we could get to make this
program possible. We specifically CARITAS who is continuously assisting the institution
with its mission to provide shelter, utmost care, protection, and guidance together
with the Youth Organization to help us with this program because we believe in the
saying "The more the merrier." If the SK members would participate in this program it
will more be enjoyable and the job can be done easier. Also with the help of the
Sangguniang Kabataan, they have the authority that can influence anyone to be one of
our participants. This is also the opportunity to share and impart the skills, talent, and
knowledge with the boys at the center. This is the best way to prepare the boys for a
brighter future.

Before proceeding with the program, we will first coordinate with Ms. Ma. Asuncion G.
Fugoso, Officer-in-charge, Manila Department of Social. We will hand them a formal
letter of approval and a complete copy of our project proposal.

VII. Program Budget:
