Location of housing: outside of downtown Calgary, on the west side
Why: To be close to the university and have access to the city through
transit. This location would also likely be close to my job, or it would be
easy to get there on transit.
Roommate: yes
Why or why not: I can interact well with people and it would be a good
way to save money

Factors:
 The utilities that are provided
 The furniture that is included that I don’t have to pay for
 Even though the rent is slightly more expensive, it is worth it as I
don’t have to pay for internet and furniture, so in the long run the
costs of the apartments would be fairly similar.
 While it was slightly farther from downtown than I wanted the
website said that is it only a few blocks from a major transit
connection station.
Advantages:
 Freedom to work in your own space and have your own things
 A quiet area
 Have to learn how to budget and by what you need
Disadvantages:
 More costly than living with others or with family
 Have to provide all amenities for yourself
 May get lonely or homesick
