Introduction

My name is Okindo Lamech, male, born in September 28, 1993 in the city of Kisii in the
Western part of Kenya, East Africa. I am very keen to join and study at the Korean Nazarene
University to pursue an undergraduate course in Christian Studies majoring in Christian
Counseling.

After the completion of my studies, I will apply for graduate studies order to expand my
Knowledge base before going back to Kenya to help in counseling people in rehabilitation
centers and trauma centers in hospitals.

BACK GROUND

I started my education early and graduated high school in 2011 joined and Karatina University in
2012 where I pursued a bachelor's degree in Applied Statistics with Computing and graduated in
2016. During my university days I joined the Youth for Christ International, Kenya chapter and
this is where I developed an interest in Christian Counseling. We go from school to school
counseling the students of a wide range of Christian and societal issues. This is what laid a solid
foundation for me to pursue an undergraduate course in Christian Counseling from the Korean
Nazarene University.

DETAILED STUDY PLAN

I will pursue my undergraduate course at the Korean Nazarene University once admitted. Korea
Nazarene University is the best placed University for me to pursue Christian Counseling studies
because of its rich Christian heritage and background.

Throughout the study period, I will focus on Christian counseling studies with full concentration
on the major courses being offered, I will do this while also reviewing material related to
Christian counseling that is not on the course outline. I will also take part in seminars and
conferences to enhance my knowledge further on the subject.

During this period of course work, I will also initiate research work and undertake some
preliminary research work which will be used to inform my research plan after the course work.
After graduating I would like to pursue a graduate program in counselling at the Korean
Nazarene University before going back to Kenya to help in counseling people in rehabilitation
centers and trauma centers in hospitals.
