Reproductive and Sexual Health Training Guide

 By the end of the class, students should be able to identify the main organs and cells of both the
male and female reproductive systems.
 By the end of the class, student should be able to identify the three main forms of birth control
available to them: abstinence, condoms, and the pill.
 By the end of the class, students should be able to recognize the risks associated with risky sexual
behavior.
 By the end of class, students will be able to identify resources available in their social support
system to get help regarding sexual health.
 Activities
 Reproductive Electro boards
 Each group (2-5 depending on class size) will receive one female electro board and one
male electro board and one light pen.
 Volunteer needed.
 Students will match each organ to their respective label using the light pen.
 Each student will have 15 seconds to get all matches.
 Repeat until each student gets a turn.
 Fetus Models
 Instructor will show each fetus model throughout the course of pregnancy.
 Fetus models will be passed around the class.
 Models need to be organized by size at the beginning of class while instructor is
teaching.
 Volunteer needed.
 STD Activity
 One signature card and one pen will be passed out to each student.
 Ensure that the cards being passed out have numbers on them!
 Volunteer needed.
 Students will be allowed to get signatures from each other and will be instructed to sit
once they are done.
 Instructor will call up each person with their respective, as well as those that signed their
card. They will receive a pipe cleaner bracelet that corresponds to the number on their
card.
 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED HERE ESPECIALLY!
 Meanings of the bracelets will be revealed after they receive their bracelets.
 How to Help
 Be happy and create an exciting environment!
 Ensure that all materials are available for the instructor at the correct time.
 Help ensure that students are respectful of us and themselves.
 Make sure that our body language is open and inviting. This topic can be scary for students to talk
about and making them feel safe and cared for is the most important thing.
 Be Aware
 Be vigilant of student body language.
 Redirect any negative or disrespectful behavior or language.
 Assist students if they appear confused or lost.
