RADIOLOGIST'S REPORT

BILATERAL MAMMOGRAM (CC& MLO) & USG BREAST 7.3.2022

FINDINGS:
Type B background breast parenchymal pattern.
Reduced right breast volume with ill-defined high density lesions at upper and mid quadrant. Right nipple appears
slightly retracted. Small cluster of less than 5 microcalcifications at upper outer quadrant.
No focal lesion or suspicious cluster of microcalcifications in the left breast.
No axillary lymphadenopathy.

Complementary ultrasound shows 3 hypoechoic lesions with irregular margins at:


(1) 12-1 o’clock position of right breast, about 2cm from nipple measuring 1.1x0.8x1.5cm
(2) 12-1 o’clock position of right breast, about 1.5cm from nipple, 0.5cm below (1)lesion measuring 1.7 x1.8 x1.2cm.
(3) 9-11 o’clock position of right periareolar region measuring 2.1x0.8x1.7cm.
Peripheral vascularity noted in lesion (2) and (3).
No left breast lesion.
No axillary lymphadenopathy bilaterally.

IMPRESSION:
Right breast lesions at 9-11 o’clock periareolar and 12-1o’clock regions, highly suspicious of malignancy. BIRADS 5.

Disclaimer:
False negative rate of mammogram is 5-15%. The patient should be managed on clinical ground. Systematic monthly self breast examination is
recommended.

There are 6 ACR- BI-RADS assessment categories depending on the mammogram observation for pathological findings.

0: Need additional imaging evaluation.


1: Negative.
2: Benign finding.
3: Probably benign findings/ short interval follow-up suggested.
4: Suspicious abnormality/ Biopsy should be considered
5: Highly suggested of malignancy/ Appropriate action should be taken.
6: Known Biopsy- proven malignancy
