John Lewis student Leadership

Pathway: "Empower. Inspire. Act."
The John Lewis Student Leadership Pathway
(JLSLP) is a new leadership program for GA Tech
students that is dedicated to cultivating visionary
and ethical leaders who are empowered to
inspire positive change in their communities and
beyond. Through comprehensive programming,
experiential learning and mentorship students
will understand their strengths and values. Our
mission is to shape individuals into influential
leaders who champion innovation, foster
collaboration, and drive sustainable solutions for
a better future. Our goal is to promote positive
social change and empower students to engage in
leadership and advocacy.

The Aspen Index serves as an effective framework

for our leadership pathway. Students participating
in the pathway will engage in programming
centered around the six leadership categories
from the Aspen Index:

• Personal Leadership
• Civic Leadership
• Inclusive Leadership
• Interpersonal Leadership
• Innovation Leadership
• Sustainable Leadership

The approximate time of completion of the John Lewis Student Leadership Path is between 2-4
years. Students can complete their choice of 10 hours a semester over the course of four years,
with the flexibility to complete the path more quickly should they choose. Students will have
the opportunity to complete leadership capacities in any order and at their discretion.

As students progress within the path, they will receive a customized recognition of
completion along with specialized JLSLP awards.

organization that seeks to better the Georgia Tech
community through a unique program that enriches the
first-year experience for its members and the entire
freshman class. FLOs are excellent opportunities for
new students to engage in leadership opportunities in
their first year. Currently, Georgia Tech has seven FLOs.

How do I get involved? Visit student-organizations.

Fraternity & Sorority Life

Fraternity and Sorority Life is comprised of 50+ chapters organized into four governing councils. 25% of the
undergraduate student body is involved with Fraternity & Sorority Life at Tech! Whether you are brand new to the
idea of fraternities and sororities or your family has a history of involvement, the Greek community at Tech welcomes
you with open arms!

Each council has a unique process for recruitment and intake of new members. The chapter you are interested in
joining will determine which council recruitment/membership intake process you will participate in.

Collegiate Panhellenic Council | Recruitment: Aug. 16 - 21

The Collegiate Panhellenic Council (CPC) is made up of Nine sororities.

Eight are in the National Panhellenic Conference and participate in
Primary Recruitment at the start of each fall semester. Most Georgia Tech
women who join a CPC sorority do so through Fall Primary Recruitment.
One associate chapter will conduct their own recruitment a few weeks
later.

How to Participate: Sign up for Primary Recruitment by visiting CPC

Recruitment Page. Signing up and participating in Primary Recruitment
does not oblige students to join a chapter at the end of the process.
Staff Contact: Kerry McCarthy

Interfraternity Council | Recruitment: Aug. 17 - 22

The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is Georgia Tech’s largest and oldest

fraternal council. IFC serves its student members and the GT community
through its 31 member organizations.

How to Participate: Over the course of the week, students choose as

many of the 31 chapters they would like to visit. Chapters issue bids
throughout the week and students have until the end of recruitment
to accept or decline any of the bids they receive. Registration is
required to participate; please register at IFC Recruitment Page.
Staff Contact: Jamison Keller

Multicultural Greek Council | Recruitment: Aug. 26 - Sept. 11

Created in 2006, the Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) serves as an

umbrella for culturally based Greek-letter organizations at Georgia Tech.

How to Participate: MGC will host a kick-off event on Aug. 26. Each
chapter will host their own formal recruitment the following two
weeks from Aug. 27 - Sept. 11. Each chapter’s formal recruitment week
will be a virtual or hybrid format. For details visit www.gtmgc.org.
Staff Contact: Kerry McCarthy

National Pan-Hellenic Council

Also known as the “Divine Nine,” NPHC oversees historically black Greek-
letter organizations. NPHC will host a series of Welcome Back events
including the NPHC Convocation (Sept. 1) & NPHC Meet the Greeks (Sept. 3).

How to Participate: Over the Fall semester, chapters will host events
to gain exposure and interest from current students. Each chapter
will determine at various points throughout the semester if they
will host membership intake. NPHC Week lasts from Aug. 28 - Sept. 2.
Staff Contact: Jamison Keller

Additional Greek Organizations

In addition to the councils and chapters, Fraternity & Sorority Life

features student organizations & initiatives such as:
