Other Matters: (Proposed Resolutions of SP Members) J.1 Proposed Resolutions of Hon. Vicente M. Guingona: 1. A Resolution Respectfully requesting the City Mayor, through the City Planning and Development Office, the City Engineer's Office, the General Services Office and all other related agencies to install solar powered street lights in Barangays of Sta. Catalina and Kasanyanan. 2. A Resolution strongly urging the Zamboanga City Water District and the Department of Public Works and Highways, to expedite conclusively and definitively fix the open pit in Veterans Avenue and Governor Lim Avenue Intersection fronting Zamboanga City Medical Center which poses a continuous hazard to the numerous vehicles of Zamboanga City. 3. A Resolution Respectfully requesting Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative (ZAMCELCO), Inc., and Zamboanga City Water District (ZCWD) to consider waiving all surcharges of late payments of electric and water utility bills in areas that are badly affected due to the damage caused by Typhoon Paeng. 4, A Resolution Respectfully requesting the Office of the City Engineer, through the City Mayor, to provide and install concrete covers to the waterways of Barangay Sta. Catalina to prevent trash and wastes entering the waterways thus causing the clogging thereof and flooding within Barangay Sta. Catalina. J.2 Proposed Resolutions of Hon. Eduardo T. Saavedra, Jr.: 1. A Resolution requesting the Office of the City Disaster and Risk Reduction and Management Office and other concerned offices in the City Government of Zamboanga to immediately submit to the August Body a comprehensive report assessing the damages and needs, specifically, the extent and costs of damages and the costs of the much-needed rehabilitation/reconstruction of the destroyed public infrastructures/facilities in those affected barangays in the city as a result of Tropical Storm "Paeng” to serve as our baseline information, in aid of legislation. 2. A Resolution earnestly requesting His Honor, the City Mayor, through the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office to allocate funds to establish evacuation centers in selected barangays in the city specifically those which are situated in fow- lying barangays and henceforth susceptible to natural calamities, -1.3 Proposed Resolution of Hon. El King K. Omaga: A Resolution earnestly requesting His Honor, Mayor John M. Dalipe, to study the possibility of appropriating funds for the rehabilitation of Persons with Mental Disabilities roaming around Zamboanga City to prevent them from endangering the life and property of other persons. 1.4 Proposed Resolutions of Hon. James P. Siason: 1. A Resolution addressed to the City Engineer's Office, thru His Honor, the City Mayor, to inspect and prepare the plans and estimates for the riprapping of the side of the alliance church at Barangay Lamisahan, this city. 2. A Resolution requesting the City Engineer's Office to inspect and make the necessary measure on the plight of the residents of By-Pass Road, Zone 4-B, Culianan, this city. J.5_ Proposed Resolutions of Hon. Dante S. Vicente: 1. A Resolution respectfully and earnestly requesting the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), thru the Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources (OCENR), to submit a comprehensive report to the August Body of their campaign against illegal logging activities conducted within Zamboanga City Forest Areas. 2. A Resolution urgently requesting the Barangay Officials with cemetery in their respective communities to coordinate with the Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources (OCENR) for the disposal of garbage and other waste materials inside the cemeteries. 3. A Resolution addressed to City Engineer Christopher Navarro to determine the extent of damage in infrastructures due to Tropical Storm Paeng and to personally report before the August Body as soon as proper inventory has been completed. J.6 Proposed Resolution of Hon. Jerry E. Perez: A Resolution requesting the City Engineer Office, through His Honor, City Mayor John M. Macrohon: A Resolution respectfully requesting the City Engineer's Office for the conduct of site inspection and preparation of detailed plans and cost estimates in coordination with Barangay Council of Vitali to properly determine the definite project title and budgetary requirement needed and to subsequently submit the same to the City Planning and Development Coordinator's Office for inclusion in the City’s Annual Investment Plan, subject to availability of funds and Mayor's approval, for the installation of solar street lights at Barangay Vitali, Zamboanga City.
