JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Billing Specialist POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Officer Level 1

DEPARTMENT: Commercial Operations REPORTS TO: Billing & Settlement Manager

LOCATION: Corporate Office SUPERVISES: N/A


JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for defining the scope and design of billing systems project and validates the
power bill computation and prepares reports generated for management and/or external
use.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Collaborate with the IT department on billing system needs and performs solutions and
activities to address various needs.

2. Validate the billing determinants and review the billing computation sheets.

3. Identify issues and provide solutions to any billing concerns of the customers.

4. Ensure all customers remain informed on their outstanding balance and deadlines through
sending of the Statement of Account (SOA).

5. Follow up and reports status of delinquent accounts to head of Billing and Settlement group.

6. Monitors and corrects database errors as necessary.

7. Write thorough reports on billing activity with clear and reliable data.

8. Prepares reports for management and external stakeholders as requested.

9. Interacts with internal and external stakeholders in the development, implementation and
maintenance of integrated database.

10. Meet customers for billing reconciliation and propose various collection actions for
outstanding accounts.

11. Perform studies and research on the Philippine electricity market subsector and industries to
determine competitive pricing for electricity consumers.

12. Perform other Billing and Settlement duties as may be assigned.


SPECIFICATIONS
I. EDUCATION:
Management, Information Technology, BS Accounting, Economics, Engineering,

II. EXPERIENCE:
5 years relevant experience
In depth knowledge of the Philippine Energy Industry

SKILLS:
1) Comfortable in dealing with numbers and the processing of financial information.
2) Results-driven and patient.
3) Can work independently and knows how to prioritize work assignment
4) Adherence to laws and best practices in regards to dealing with customers and data.
5) Excellent knowledge in MS Office (particularly Excel).
6) Excellent communication skills and inter personal skills.
