REFLECTION/JOURNAL ENTRY 1

My first reflection is on a lesson I taught in the first quarter that was mostly concerned with
reviewing what lessons in grades 7 through 9 had already learned about music, art, physical
education, and health. In addition to teaching them about music and art theories, I also gave
them a physical fitness exam as part of their physical education. I also recently handed
them a paper on environmental health for their benefit.

The philosophy of teaching that I used are INQUIRY-BASED APPROACH in which

learners are encouraged to ask questions, investigate problems, and seek solutions
independently. The focus is on fostering curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills,
COLLABORATION which is Learners are encouraged to collaborate with their peers,
sharing ideas, perspectives, and experiences. Collaborative learning activities promote
communication skills, teamwork, and the development of social relationships and Lifelong
learning which is Learner-centered teaching philosophy aims to develop learners' skills,
attitudes, and habits that promote lifelong learning. It focuses on nurturing a love for
learning, fostering independent thinking, and preparing learners for continued growth
beyond the classroom. All this philosophy are used through different activities of my
lesson.
