10-1 System head .
The system head is sum of the static head on the pump discharge minus the
static head on the pump suction plus the friction losses thru the entire
piping systen. With an Increase in flow the friction losses increase as
the square of the flow + when plotting head against capacity flow, a
parabolic head curve is formed. This curve is called the system head
curve.
