DIGIFEST POSTCARD

Project Overview
Digifest is a showcase event that enables senior digital media students to present their portfolios and connect with potential employers. The event
is usually held in Brazos Hall at the University of Houston-Sugar Land during both the fall and spring semesters. The fall Digifest allows students to
practice showcasing their work to alumni. However, the spring Digifest allows students to showcase their work to potential employers. In a group
we were tasked with making a variable data postcard to send to potential guests of Digifest utilizing different design concepts with variable data.

Project Concept
For our project, we decided to go with a vibrant palette because of its energetic, spirited, and dynamic feel. A bright-
ness that exudes positivity to which others are drawn. Through this Digital Media program, students get the opportunity to
obtain knowledge in something that they are passionate about. That’s why we want our design to be vibrant so that during
the Digifest, the employers can feel the passion.

Color Scheme

We wanted to implement a color scheme that was indicative of our concept specifically "brightness that exudes positivity".

Final Variable Data Design
Variable Data is used to help users create customized projects using a record or a dataset. Using XMPIE to implement Variable
Data, we designed elements and taglines based on Job Titles and Gender. We also used XMPIE for potential guests names and
mailing information. To find the potential guest names and mailing information, we utilized data mining to find at least 5 companies
for each industry, their addresses and potential guests and recruiters that we believe would be interested in an event like Digifest.
