Robotics and artificial intelligence are crucial for many nations in the modern world if they

wish to raise the standard of living for their citizens and develop their economies. Goralski and

Tan (2020) state that deep learning-capable robotics and machine intelligence have a

profoundly disruptive and enabling effect on business, governments, and society. One school

of thought mentions that the use of robots and artificial intelligence will ultimately result in

beneficial outcomes for society. Robotics and automation have the potential to enhance many

aspects of society for the better such as increasing the level of efficiency in the workplace,

assisting in resolving many issues that arise in the commercial world, and even finding

applications in the medical profession.

It is undeniable that the development of robotics and artificial intelligence has substantially

improved manufacturing productivity in the commercial world. To illustrate, Wright and

Schultz (2018) claim that productivity has been considerably boosted by the development of

automated technology. Furthermore, several investigations have explored the productivity and

labor consequences of innovations on organizations in recent decades. Technology is supposed

to boost productivity, which measures its economic impact (Yang 2022). In addition, AI may

also affect operational performance by introducing new products and services and improving

their quality (Enholm et al. 2022). Meanwhile, some inhabitants argue that progress in robotics

and other forms of automation might lead to a rise in the unemployment rate. Pham et al.

(2018) report that numerous publications in the popular press predict a grim future for the

labor market and base their predictions on academic research. They also state that 47% of all

U.S. employment is at risk of being lost owing to automation, citing an estimate by Oxford

economists that is generally accepted. It cannot be denied that the unemployment rate is an

important problem in the modern age. However, Yang (2022) mentions that AI technology

may eliminate certain employment but enhance low- and high-end jobs overall. In addition,
the author also supposes that if AI technology enhances worker functions, manufacturing

efficiency and product expansion may provide additional employment for the business.

Certainly, the rise of automated technologies helps considerably in raising output levels.

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) and automation in business aim to address a number of

business-related issues. To make it clear, Deng and Lin (2022) conclude that the sophisticated

NLP technology used by ChatGPT is unrivaled in its capacity to provide companies a

thorough, individualized client experience. Following a flood of data and a significant rise in

computing capability over the last several years, businesses are turning to AI to provide

commercial value (Enholm et al. 2022). The data-centric revolution often applauds the growth

of business analytics and AI in maximizing the potential of an organization and success (Rana

et al. 2020). On the other hand, others contend that a heavy reliance on artificial intelligence

might limit the ability of workers to creativity, which can cause great losses for businesses. It

may be true, but the strong processing and data analysis capabilities made possible by artificial

intelligence certainly facilitate the expansion of enterprises in a number of ways. Moreover,

employing artificial intelligence to solve issues at work may help businesses save a lot of

money compared to hiring employees. For example, organizations may be able to free certain

workers from repetitive, regular work by automating some processes, allowing them to

concentrate on more knowledge-intensive jobs that benefit the company more (Makarius et al.,

cited by Enholet al. 2022). In addition, artificial intelligence drives this process of

re-engineering and revamping the current organizational structure (Wamba-Taguimdje et al.,

cited by Enholet al. 2022). It affects the use of human resources, permitting adjustments to

organizational structure and business procedures. For managers, workers, and AI to

collaborate, the introduction of AI introduces a new set of talents and capacities (Makarius et

al., cited by Enholet al. 2022). AI can also be used in customer service to provide faster and
more accurate responses to inquiries. A unique language generation model called ChatGPT

created by OpenAI has the potential to drastically cut expenses for companies who use

chatbots for customer care. By simulating human conversation in real time, ChatGPT helps

businesses save money by reducing their reliance on more expensive human customer support

agents (Deng & Lin 2022). Therefore, the application of AI in business might significantly

improve corporate processes and the quality of products and services offered to consumers.

In the modern era, because of advancements in science and technology, researchers have been

able to apply artificial intelligence to medical research, resulting in a number of significant

advances. There has been notable development in the use of AI in the area of dentistry over

the course of the last ten years (Asiri & Altuwalah 2022). In addition, due to developments in

computer power, learning algorithms, and big data from medical records and wearable health

monitors, AI will play a larger role in medicine and healthcare (Ahuja 2019). On the opposing

side, some individuals claim that because the data used by artificial intelligence currently has

numerous limitations, it cannot fully replace humans in the field of medicine. There is no

doubt that it can be true, but it must be noted that artificial intelligence and automation have

the potential to help improve the accuracy of both diagnostic and treatment procedures, saving

time and allowing clinicians to concentrate on more challenging tasks. For instance, these

artificial neural networks are used in a multitude of medical subspecialties, ranging from the

diagnosis of a condition to the production of drugs to the evaluation of images or scans (Talari

et al., cited by Asiri & Altuwalah 2022). It is widely accepted that AI technologies will

support and improve human labour rather than outright replace that of doctors and other

healthcare professionals (Bohr & Memarzadeh 2020). As a result, the use of automation and

artificial intelligence in healthcare benefits the medical profession.

In conclusion, robotics and automatic technology have the potential to increase productivity in

the workplace, aid in the resolution of many challenges that emerge in the business sector, and

even have medicinal applications. The development of artificial intelligence has the potential

to effect beneficial change across a broad range of societal domains and institutions. People

should try to avoid placing an excessive amount of reliance on artificial intelligence due to the

fact that it imports data from a variety of sources, which makes it challenging to consistently

manage problems effectively. The only purpose of artificial intelligence is to streamline and

simplify the processes involved in accomplishing a set of goals. Consequently, because of this,

making incorrect use of artificial intelligence might often have the opposite impact.
