Introduction: Context and Objectives of the Training

Background and  This GAD Session is an annual and regular activity by the DOST-
Rationale of the SEI GFPS TWG.
GAD Session  It aims to achieve the following objectives
o Assess all implemented GAD activities during the first half of
the year;
o Update on preparations for all GAD activities for the rest of
the year as per GPB;
o Plan on follow-up activities for inclusion into the GAD Plan
and Budget 2024.
Brief Description of the Participants
 Participants are members of the GFPS –TWG and secretariat
 It is composed of 6 Female and 1 Male

Training Methodology and Topics Covered

The session was conducted face to face in a venue arranged by
the GFPS secretariat as per approved procurement process.
This year’s GAD midyear assessment was held at AZALEA
Residences, Baguio City, Province of Benguet.

Issues and  The session proper was smoothly implemented.

Concerns  No major issues were encountered in any form. Substance requirements (eg.
Raised During documents needed to discuss GPB and related concerns) as well as technical (eg.
the Sessions digital files, laptop, projector etc.) and logistical (eg. Accommodation, venue,
food etc.) were efficiently addressed by the secretariat and the venue staff.
 All objectives were achieved and attended to. Minutes shall be prepared by the
secretariat.
 The only minor issue encountered was the NLEX traffic experienced to and from
the venue. These were unexpected, hence cannot be taken against the
preparatory stage of the activity. Nonetheless, next preparations must take into
consideration traffic situations in choosing the venue as a factor to avoid same
unnecessary experiences.

Results and 1. The session were able to provide the participants a venue to discuss updates
Recommendations of GPB implementation and prepare more for the next half year cycle of
remaining GAD activities.
2. As a recommendation, a more thorough MnE tool must be in place to aid in
the assessment both of the output as well of the outcome of the activities.
This can be done next year as a mid-term assessment shall be conducted vis
the GAD Agenda.
