Course Title: Advanced Research Nursing in Healthcare

Course Duration: 14 weeks

Course Overview: The Advanced Research Nursing in Healthcare course aims to equip
fourth-year nursing students with the skills and knowledge needed to engage in
research activities within the healthcare field. Students will explore research
methodologies, ethical considerations, data analysis techniques, and dissemination
strategies. The course will empower students to critically evaluate existing research,
design and conduct studies, and contribute to evidence-based nursing practice.

Course Objectives: By the end of this course, students will be able to:

1. Understand the importance of research in advancing nursing practice and

improving patient outcomes.
2. Differentiate between various research designs, methodologies, and data
collection techniques.
3. Develop research proposals, considering ethical principles and regulatory
guidelines.
4. Analyze and interpret research findings using appropriate statistical methods.
5. Communicate research findings effectively through written reports and
presentations.
6. Critically appraise published research literature for its relevance and quality.
7. Collaborate in interdisciplinary research teams to enhance healthcare research.
8. Apply research knowledge to address real-world healthcare challenges.
